I got past the initial launcher updater, now main launcher window and 'connect...' has been sitting idle for about five minutes.

For me, that would be a resounding no. The launcher is trying to patch and failing.

Same. Just tried and it cannot connect to the server.
No, I am not who you think I am. I am someone different. I am instead a banana.

Adamanteus, thanks for keeping us informed. This is so much better than the last outage when we got nothing for hours. :)

I was starting slowly, in game. Now, out of game, I'm getting drunk much faster.

Really appreciate pweadam's keeping a stream of info going even if nothing positive to report, being kept informed is way better than being treated like mushrooms as in the past.

Run out of time for game play, see you all in the new stardate.

Normally I'd agree but they got the US pretty good. Started a media uproar and we all thought it was just ourselves trying to stick to principles....

edit: I mean we probably shouldn't rule out Korean involvement just yet.

More like they got Sony pretty good; they just couldn't be bothered to properly secure their networks and servers.

We are aware of the issue. Our network engineers are investigating/fixing it. No ETA but it could be up at anytime. When we have more info we will pass it along.

Actually Sony did come out of this pretty well.

From "Spying on customers" to "Defender of free speech".

Not even mentioning the revenues from the movie.

Hmm. I'm intrigued by this. SURELY there's is some event or holiday somewhere in the world that can be celebrated in-game by an STF featuring Dancing Hippos?

I'm not convinced it was them. I'm not sure they have the bandwidth in the entire country to do the sony hack. Of course it's possible they had people leave the country to do it, but the evidence the fbi has given the news seems really slim to me.
