@puttenham, Man...why are you loosing your tactical potential with the intrepid? There are so many ships in the game, especially for tacticals and you ended up with intrepid? No offense but it seems you didnt get what warmaker001b have told you about understanding the game.
You can test whatever ship you want in any toon, but being the right toon in the right ship is always going to give you the best performance and results. If you think you can outdps lets say JHDC with jhas pets in an intrepid...you know...good luck.

I am surprised that no one has yet to comment that the ablative generator should be revamped for the T6 ship.
If they make it last longer for the T6 version at least twice as long or indefinitely if you have a set of 4 it would make the T6 version ship worth purchasing.
I'm new to STO, is there going to be an option to upgrade the (already purchased) T5U intrepid to this new slightly better T6 version for a lower-than-full price? - if so I'm happy.
I wouldn't like to pay full T6 ship price for a fractional upgrade on a ship I bought only last week, since it's not like I would want to use a worse version of the same ship - so if I did buy the T6 version the T5U I have now would be useless.
I bought the T5U thinking that it was "basically the T6 version" of the intrepid.
Enough with fed ships! With this t6 intrepid this brings total T6 fed ships to 6. There are just 2 each T6 to pick for KDf and Rom. Instead of turning out Fed ship after Fed ship bring 4 more designs each for KDf and Rom to choose from.

I don't think this was what folks were asking for when they said they wanted T5 ships to upgrade to full T6, and *not* the T5u half measure. Now folks who want a top-of-the-line interepid can get it....but they have to start over basically from square one, and buy the T6 Fleetgrade Interpid when that comes out to boot.
Anyone care to do the math on what the pricetag's going to come out to for folks who had the T5u Fleetgrade Intrepid if they want to get a T6 Fleetgrade Intrepid?

1) No excuse for making all the old ships obsolete-if an intrepid can be upgraded to true T6 (and soon to be T6 fleet), no reason a Sovereign, Neghvar, or D'Deridex cannot.
2) Where are all the KDF/RR ships? The favoritism is getting ridiculous.
3) Intrepid gets intel slots too? So what exactly was the justification for letting some ships use specialist slots and others cannot? What can and cannot use intel abilities seems pretty artificial IMO.
Easiest way to bring a sci ship + mastery to KDF/Rom. Upgrade the Dyson ship 3 packs to T6 with guaranteed free T6 Upgrade for existing T5 or T5U versions. Granted, this would also affect Feds.
Easy way to bring another Mastery to KDF/Rom. Same as above, but Bortesqu for KDF and Scimitar for Rom. Of course, Feds would also get Mastery traits for Odyssey, Vesta and Andorian Escorts.
Guaranteed minimal work, while still being money-making. Then just up future T6 3-packs by 1000 Zen. It's not the perfect or most wanted solution (at least, Dyson-wise, everyone else has been clamoring for T6s of the other T5 3-pack bundles), but at least that would give 4 C-store related Mastery traits to Rom and KDF.
Then Cryptic then can get back to providing more Fed ships and sell more ship slots, since they would assume Romulans wouldn't want to leave their new T6 Scimitars and KDF... Well, at least KDF would have had the consolation of T6 Bortesqu and Dysons. Though if more players bought into those Dyson 3 packs, maybe Cryptic would then produce a new Sci ship for both Rom and KDF.
I'm actually being serious and fairly logical with this. It'd be par for Cryptic, while not completely blowing up in their faces on the grounds that if they did this, they could say they did at least give T5U pack owners a free upgrade to T6 effective immediately. The least they can do after selling T5U upgrades.
You're now selling a T6 variant of an existing ship. So you're basically selling the same ship YET AGAIN, just with better stats...
What's the point of upgrading the T5 version to T5U then...?
How can we be sure you won't do the same thing with other ships? Why should we spend money to upgrade our ships to terribly overpriced T5U if we could get a proper T6 sometime in the future?
Also, yet again FEDs are being favored... Now they've got SIX unique T6 vessels, all with their own useful Starship Mastery Traits, while the KDF and ROM only get TWO ships with only somewhat useful/useless Traits. Not to mention, these factions are still to get a proper Science Vessel whereas the FEDs got three T6 already...
And something tells me we're not going to see another KDF/ROM T6 ship for a long time...

My Fleet Intrepid T5-U has 11 console slots. My Dauntless T6, and this new Intrepid, only have 10 console slots.
I'll probably buy the new Intrepid when I can, unlock the starship trait, then go back to my Fleet Intrepid T5-U. Why? Because the blog states the universal Aeoroshuttle console can be equipped on it. Also because the T5 retrofit and t5 fleet retrofit Intrepids have 3 tactical console slots and this new T6 only has 2.
That's what I did with my Dauntless. I got my Dauntless to T4 starship mastery *before* the latest patch that reduced the amount of points required to max it out. After unlocking the Dauntless' starship trait I switched back to my Fleet Intrepid T5-U. I also found my Fleet Intrepid outperforms my dauntless using the same equipment and nearly the same boff setup (at least it seemed I was able to kill mirror ships faster in my intrepid then my dauntless in the mirror invasion event on normal mode).
I don't know when I'll be able to buy it. Probably not until sometime in December.
From the looks of the blog what is being offered for a limited time is a bundle that includes the T6 Intrepid and 2 ship interiors. Will we be able to buy the interiors separately? I want to know because I might not be able to buy zen for a while. I don't mind paying full price to get everything separately if there is no longer a cheap bundle option. I just want to be able to get it.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Its frigate will be 'fixed' a few weeks after this ship's release date if the ship comes out soon, so expect its performance to drop. The announcement has already been posted since it will 'fix' all post-DR 'affected' pets, saucers, and multi-vectors.
The 3-pack will not be 5,000 zen as some are anticipating. T6 ships are 3,000 zen, so a 3-pack T6 would be expected at 6,000 zen under the very safe assumption it comes with a 3-for-2 deal.

The question I have is about the price for the different versions, specifically how the triple pack compares to the last one with only the Tier 6 and season 7 interior. Since many of us vets bought the refits and retrofit way back then how much more are we paying for this addition? If all rings right then what we paid in the past plus this special "limited offer" should equal the price of the three pack (less would be better).
Closer look, what exactly is going on with its deflector? And the underbelly that sort of bulges down along the whole length before suddenly getting carved upwards.
Will this ship be able to use the standard canon skin too, or that of the other intrepids?

It looks ok, but in my personal opinion; all variants < appealing than the standard Intrepid.
