delta weapon 2 piece cuts that CD in half too.......
Some ships have been updated:
- The Aquarius has gotten much better. It's sort of a Plesh Brekk with better shields now. It still misses battle cloak compared to BoPs, but can get standard cloak. To me it seems to be very much competitive now, it's a very fast escort with lower hull and plenty universals. I wonder if it ain't straight better than most vanilla escorts now. Perhaps the raider 0.8 (0.88 shield mod) might be needed, after all, it's a raider now that can cloak easier and better than the Plesh Brekk even.
- While the Vestas didn't need any updates imo, it's true their hull and shields were kinda low for 'Fleet level' ships (10 console ones). Even now they're at the lower end of what regular Fleet ships get in general (1.43 shield mod and 29k-34k hull), but that's more than compensated for by the useful special consoles, DHC capability, AuxDHCs and a hangar slapped to them.
- A couple updates to the D'Kyr and Nebula are certainly deserved but nothing grandiose.
Universal consoles with shorter cooldowns:
- I wonder what an effect that might have. Some consoles have probably passed from the useless territory to occasionally useful. Those rare consoles that were already deemed good just got quite a boost.
- Separation consoles with half the previous CD. I approve of that. Welcome change. Might make the Haakona console and the MVAModule more used (Odyssey and Galaxy ones are afaik already used a lot).
Queue reward changes:
- Now that's a nightmare. From what I hear from Tribble, even the advanced queues are far more difficult (fail conditions) than current elites. And they'll reward even less dil than current elites?! And no gear?!
Is this that you want to hear: "That's an outrage!" There you got it.
No seriously, those rewards are way too low. The Advanced queues should reward at least what current elites do, as they're at least as difficult (more from what I hear) to complete.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
This is aweful, again the STFs are screwed
And it totaly sux to see Intel Team stealth component nerfed. That was, for me at least, one of the reason to even get a T6 or T6 intel ship. PvPers whined and Cryptic wacked it with a nerf bat. We cant have nice things in the game, now cant we?
Only good thing is about the console's CD finnaly been reduced to 2 mins. But on the Dyson Destroyers console 3 pc set, that means that the bonus set that reduced their Cd from 3 mins to 2 mins now goes from 2 mins to 1 min?
The T6 was going to get nerfed sooner or later. I guessed no one really rushed to get the T6 ships in the DR pack. T6 is meant to be a ticket item with gimmicks for $$$. Add a lot more by subtracting is Cryptic pattern when doing the Fed ships.
The Romulan and KDF ship won't get nerfed that much or even at all.
But I gotta say I'm a little confused...you've got all these new races from Delta Rising, but no Delta Quadrant space maps. Will they be added in later?
Patrols open once you do the missions to open them.
This is a terrible plan. I know some folks are saying it evens out by dilithium being awarded in all queues now, but not really, because I can only play one thing at a time; as measured against time played, I can only call this a nerf. Not all of us run Contraband farms off of 30 alts; some of us used the queue rewards as a chunk of our dilithium income.
Hey, Cryptic? This game isn't that much fun that you can slash the bottom out of the reward structure and I'll just keep on like nothing changed.

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)
No seriously, those rewards are way too low. The Advanced queues should reward at least what current elites do, as they're at least as difficult (more from what I hear) to complete.
I agree with you completely on this.
The Advanced queues SHOULD reward at least what the current "elites" do as from what I'm hearing from tribble testers I know is that the advanced on tribble has enemies that are harder to kill than what we face currently in game. (Haven't had chance to test this myself yet, however.)
But it should be the same with Elite queues being a step above that.
Normal: 480 Dilithium
Advanced: 960 Dilithium (same as current Elite on Holodeck)
Elite: 1440 Dilithium (old Elite amount)
Not sure why they chose to remove the random item reward. After the massive nerf to EC values, the EC income generation has taken a considerable nosedive anyways.
if elite is meant for the truly exceptional as claimed, then the risk reward would have to be equal to each other. as it stands 960 dil? you can find otherways to make up that working as intended feature with other daily means that are significantly less time consuming.
1440 is adequate depending how hard the risk is for it.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Quite some good changes all around. But the dilithium reward changes are horrible.
I have a feeling that the "Accolades on Elite only" will cause some ruckus. I don't really care about Accolades myself, but those casuals who do will surely suffer. Is that what Cryptic wants, to appeal to the Hardcore crowd only? I thought STO was more casual oriented.
Was the "Standard" pose updated here as well? My female characters and boffs now seem to have lost their equilibria (adjusted posture and arm position. Perhaps not dysfunctional looking, but different.)
Edit: got it. The female standard pose appears to be the same as the male standard pose now.

Well, IT always seemed like a prelude to a more permanent stealth ability like cloaking. Me, I use photonic displacement with battle cloaks to achieve the same effect.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
What is the logic behind the nerfed dilithium rewards? We have the Borg STF's cut in half - 960 becomes 480, The undine events slightly bumped - 240 to 480. The Voth rewarded 480 if i remember correctly. On the other hand the fleet events will give dilithium now, but they are consdiered normal - so 240, the romulan ones - mostly 240. No there is clearly difficulty increase, player resources demand is increased. How is it fair the rewards for events funding Mk12 gear to be the same as rewards for the MK14 gear and the elite few who will master the new Elite, what is their motivation to do much more just for getting the same as now? Why the current elites, which will be renamed advanced, be with increased difficulty and with reduced rewards? So EC nerf was successful, and now this. So what is the logic behind the dilithium rewards nerf, except ofc. corporate greed? The motivation for players to play more and different events?
I'm still baffled by the STF change. If anything you'd think they want to incentivize running STF's (since it's the biggest team-oriented content we have)
Making it both harder AND reducing the rewards seems really, really counterproductive.

Yeah, I think its time to move onto other things.
After spending roughly $500, across two accounts, on content, I think its time to consider my gaming options.

1st place: two purple crafting materials
2nd place: one purple crafting material
3rd place: one blue crafting material
Then you can remove crafting materials completely, currently its already cheaper (even with the high prices) to buy ready components instead of the raw materials to craft.
Instead of components increase the sources of crafting materials.
put the old numbers back.. since elite is now advanced.. then leave it at the elite dil amount..
here is the idea..
for those talented few that can and will defeat the new elite.. then they are awarded 1440 Refined Dil.. not bulk raw dil.. therefore making the grind into eliteness worth the effort
yes yes ,.,, i know the whiners will complain..
thats what they do
im here to suggest an option for getting those very difficult optionals..
show some respect to the skilled player in that you are bypassing the dil refinement cap and awarding refined dil to these talented people..
they put in the time to figure out your event.. they put in the effort to create a powerhouse combination of ship / boff / doff / gear
thats a feat in itself
do this and you will have people awed in your decision making prowess and commenting to the crowds in hushed tones to your obviously large man hood that inspire fear and loathing in other MMOs
prove to the player base that skill and effort get rewarded.. not just thrust into admiral rank because they plowed thru cherry picked missions on a double xp MONTH
and please remove the dil amount from the upgrade system in part..
leave it in for finish now.. but have the entire upgrade system be free.. extend the timers .. make the system take longer.. it takes dil to craft the item.. leave that there.. but making it 700+ dil to add a TP points is silly.. you already crafted the upgrade.. its like changing batteries in a remote.. your going from dollar store alkalines to NiCad rechargeables you acquired the upgrade.. dont make up pay to install it..

Once you realize that Cryptic is not interested in options, you will begin to see things very differently. As long as Cryptic is making money, they will never really care about player suggestions.
Cryptic will give players what they want, for as long as they can twist it into revenue.
hardly better? HA! its still has more then 1000 more base damage then a normal q torp, i dindt notice much of a differnce post nerf. this isn't something you spam as soon as it cools down anyway, something like this you use every 15 seconds with a torp skill. its only a problem if a torp's cooldown is longer then that.
Its 1000 more base damage but you are shooting half as many shots. So even with 1 shot every 15 seconds from a torp skill you end up doing far worse damage. For a 15 second recharge torp the damage has been nerfed far too much to the point it’s hardly worth using for 1 torp launcher ships.
The way I see it is double the recharge, half as many shots for a 15% ish damage boost per shot. That's a very bad trade off in my mind. That and projectile tac consoles are still broken as ou cannot upgrade them with projectile tech.
Another way to look at it over 15 seconds against a single target the Neutronic does 9000 damage against but we get 16,000 for Q torps over 15 seconds. Over 60 seconds that’s 36,000 for the Neutronic but 60,000 for Q torps.
Please remove the Temporal Backstep of the consoles with 2 minutes, is by far the most powerfull console in the game. It will destroy pvp in every posible way. Or at least make that it dosn't affect the captian skill like subnuke or APA, and nerfed somehow that is not un unkillable target in pvp, there was a reason why that console had such a large coldown...

yep pretty much this, before the nerf it was roughly equal to the undine rep torp, now its much worse.
With my setup:
undine torp does 5,6k per volley with 6 seconds recharge.
neutronic does 7,2k with 13 seconds recharge (thats already with the rep set bonus)
both do ~1k radiation damage, only that the undine torp applies double of that to a target compared to the neutronic.
If we look at the combine damage that can be done in 14 seconds:
12,2k for the undine torp (+ 1k rad damage on timer)
8,2k for the neutronic
before it was closer to like 10-11k vs 12k.
It was a trade of for slightly better CC with the neutronic.
Now its a waste of rep points compared to the undine one.
The Advanced queues SHOULD reward at least what the current "elites" do as from what I'm hearing from tribble testers I know is that the advanced on tribble has enemies that are harder to kill than what we face currently in game. (Haven't had chance to test this myself yet, however.)

See green. Another problem currently. I've liked to do some testing on previous seasons and LoR, despite being Silver. Somehow, probably thanks to my previous testing, I've gotten to LoR testing with Gold players. Now, I still can't get to tribble.
Therefore I can't say for sure if advanced queues are harder than current elites. But, that's what's been said to me by several gold players, so seems likely. And so Advanced queues should definitely receive current elite rewards at least.
Also, looked at the Alt Skins for the T6 Escort & Guardian Cruiser, Delta Alliance Reputaion Set Bonuses and the new Armor Visual Tailor Unlock for the DA Ground Set. Hope you all enjoy

I thought the point of the gear awards was to motivate players to perform their best and tough out a bad run, with the idea they might be awards a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place gear award, which *might* even be usable?
So now, just bail if it isn't fast enough for you?
I agree with other posters. Removing the gear is a bad idea. In fact, there should be an additional dil or something reward for highest 3 places. Increase the motivation, don't decrease it.
I cannot fathom why the Dil rewards are so low, with the enormous quantity of Dilithium required to fully upgrade 1 character let alone 2, 3, 4, or 5 and the fact that they have sated that Elite queue is only meant for the best geared players, why on Earth would they now make the advance queue give only 460 dil while the elite gives only 960, plus the removal of the random gear is completely dumb. The other change were any failure of goals means instant end of the stf plus low dil payout means people are going to instantly bail the moment someone screws up anything. Just like in the Undine stfs.
The lack of rewards for doing stfs will simply empty out the queues even more than they are now. Why does Cryptic always do 1 step forward 2 steps back for everything they do ?
