Captains! The design specs are in! We're pleased to announce our brand new Patrol Escort! The Tempest and the Maelstrom come loaded up with new Nadion Saturation Bombs, the Fused Aft Tempest gun, and more. Al 'Captain Geko' Rivera shows off the ships in our latest entry of the Season 9 News Dev Blog series.

    The Tempest is a much nicer looking ship than the stock patrol escorts. Very nice.

    Wow pretty burly little ship. On one hand not a fan of power creep, on the other the PE was kinda falling behind, and thats the course of the game.

    Raptor counterpart, more hull/less shields/cloak coming soon after?

    So, will all current Fleet Patrol Escorts be converted into the new version, or do we have to buy the Fleet Patrol Escort...again? Or can we somehow trade in our current Fleet Patrol Escorts for the new one?

    1) if we already have the fleet patrol escort, what will happen to them?
    2) when will you finally give more love to kdf?

    Huh...

    Not a big fan of Tempest's design, but Type-6 material for other variants is always appreciated.


    So... what will the KDF get?

    And why not a thing?

    Looks nice. Reads to me like the current Fleet PEs will be upgraded, but it would be nice to get confirmation on that.

    Oh, and why does this even exist? Do the Feds REALLY need this? At all? This is out of the blue and makes absolutely no sense.

    Nice little ship, the Tac players should be able to have some nice fun with her. I hope for us Sci captains we get something down the road, a 2410 variant of the Nova would be pretty awesome.
    Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.

    SO, make my Vesta shine like she's suppose to and while u devs are at it, fix that darn misaligned Phaser Lance on the Galaxy! I dont even own one and it bothers me!

    Well, that came right out of nowhere! :eek:

    I kinda' like what you did with the design of the Tempest, looks nice and sleek at first glance - and I'm a huge fan of round saucer sections instead of chevrons. Definitely an improvement over the regular Patrol Escort look.

    Just guys, not to be the grumpy guy, but I'd ask for just one thing please - don't pretend that you care about power creep anymore, we're not children. It's ok, we get it, you figured the game needs to have some I guess. *shrugs* No need to pretend.

    P.S. Also, isn't it about time for that Fleet Guramba with 5 tactical consoles?
