Back as a kid, I've wondered what would happen if one gutted most of the secondary hull of the TMP Connie, and snuck a Space Battleship Yamato Wave Motion Drive in there. Complete with flip open / retracting deflector dish to expose the Wave Motion Gun...
Also happens to solve the problems of backup engine ("Captain, the crystals canna take moar of this." "Fine, fire up the Wave Motion engine to get us out of here...")
Let me put a "true" wave motion console on my T1 Connie and I'm sure it'll work great in STFs... <evil>

That would be my choice for a shuttle level ship (that or a Thunderbolt class Star Fury), but for a ship I'd love to fly... the X-304 battlecruiser! A real human looking sci fi ship, probably based off the HEC with the third tac ensign turned into an universal station.

While not actually Federation in origin Voyager got enough data on it that I'm surprised the corps of engineers hasn't started cranking them out to take advantage of the slipstream profile the ship has.
Extreme deep space missions, Changing quadrants in months rather than decades.

DUde, I would LOVE a 304.
Hell make it a three ship set.
One has Asgard shields.
One has a full set (Say six) of Asgard Plasma Beam Weapons (Say 30% shield bypass with a 90% guaranteed burn proc)
last one Has the "Zero Point Module" console, cranks all power levels to max, and KEEPS THEM THERE (No drain) for 20 seconds, 4 minute cool down.
Not sure of what the set synergy bonuses would be though.

I think I would want a Malon tanker. If I remember correctly when the ship blows up it would make space uninhabitable in a 200 km radius. I think it would make an interesting twist to PvP; if you blow up the person in the tanker then everybody loses.
