every film where there is chinese food there is an egg roll... infact you have yours in little cartons that fold at the top making it look evemn MORe delicious....
Ours come in foil trays with pools of grease collecting in the bottom, the foil then cuts your fingers as you try to open it then get burned by the escaping steam. After you have managed to coax the noodles from the tub you get drenched in grease...

I really wanna try an egg roll... But if we boycott our chinese places we are left with curry houses...and then we play the Guantlet of the Runs... bit like running the gauntlet but you're sat down usually...

sounds like pot stickers to me.

haha I don't know what to say about the other. How could almost a billion Indians be wrong?

oh god the thought. I need to wash my brain now.
Give me all your latinum... Hew-mon!!

Tac Dready is my favorite ship, I am currently working to get the Best DPS and Survivability out of her I can, I just need XII Purple Phaser Relays, I have XI Purples and my lance is almost a One hit kill in PVP

Nice, I'm really about the same, you know Dev, it's actually usually cheaper to get the Mk XII Blues instead of XI Purples, and they provide the same benefit. Heh, as for the Lance, it's handy but I find that you can't rely on it entirely. As for PvP, ugh, I generally don't bother with the Queues and only play people I know. I'm more PvE and Roleplay I admit.

By far cryptic or whoever runs the server is the worst managing company I've ever seen, and I've tried alot of other games in my life. Thank god this game is free to play.

You must not have played SWTOR or BGO.

I would of said Webzen considering the back-end issues they were having with Continent of the Ninth from the 1st thru 7th. Would almost make whatever issues with NWO look silly.
Then again, they also don't have any significant OCR either.

    Thank you for the time...

Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:
    • Full, Story-driven, select from start 1-50 Klingon Side
    • Scrap current Lock Box & Lobi system for something more reasonable
    • Expand Dil and Rep/Fleet Marks to regular story content

If Gene Roddenberry ever spent a week on a gaming forum he'd have realize humans are not a grand, special species destined for greatness in the future. :D
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Well, I'm usually the one to be understanding about such issues and not ***** about it when this kind of malfunctions occur, but lately this is getting ridiculous.

I'm not saying this to bash anyone, I'm saying this as a person who loves and supports this game - I'm afraid that if these issues go on much longer and are not completely resolved with new gear before LoR many people could become fed up and leave. And I wouldn't want that to happen to STO.

Devs. please amp up your hardware asap, cause if this is happening now I can only
imagine what would happen when LoR launches and it won't be pretty nor good for STO.

I'm with you there. I usually just patiently wait for the servers to come back online but it is becoming seriously frustrating. When you only have a few hours of free time and there is a 3-hour down time maintenance... well you do the math

Well you know, I couldn't blame him if he got pissed. I work in a field where you have to show a professional attitude in public at all times. So sometimes it's nice to 'indulge' in a little 'STFU'ing' I admit. Simply given the number of ignorant entitled little f*ck's who start whining and crying like my 6 month old daughter.

lol, anyways, how's that Dready workin' for ya? I love the hell out of mine, hardly ever use anything else.

I think working in a public facing 'responsible' role gives people in the same situation a '3rd eye' to read between the lines...

We are working hard = Be Patient

We value your support = Stop f***ing moaning

There may hav been some confusion = Are you ****ing TRIBBLE?

We will let you know more in due course = Holy s**t this is busted... someone fetch the coffee...this is gonna be a long night"

Hey everyone, we sincerely apologize for the short notice. We need to perform emergency network maintenance to ensure a stable performance during Open Beta. It is expected to last around 2 hours, perhaps longer.

We'll keep you up to date right here!

If the games are on separate severs then there would be no reason to bring down STO too, it doesn't make sense. Problem might just be the games are so similar, intertwined, that bugs on one side are creating more bugs on the other?

According to that, it's *network* maintenance; having games on separate *servers* wouldn't necessarily prevent a *network* change from affecting multiple games.

Just after STO's launch, the game crashed and never came back up for like a WEEK. You know what we got? A title(Tamarian Envoy) and a badge(Badge of Temba). If we do ever get compensation for downtime, it will be in this way. But don't hold your breath.

Of course, let's not forget the rampant threats of lawsuits, conspiracy theories, BBB reports, and other general ill will for the first few months after STO's launch...coming especially from lifetime subscribers. I didn't even play STO then and I heard about the crapstorm all the way from inside the two hours a day I played WoW between working on two undergraduate capstone papers.
Somebody getting uppity about canon? No problem! Just take a deep breath, and repeat after me:

As a uk player myself the maintenance is usually done in the afternoon every Thursday so to have an unplanned one does not really affect us so why uk people are moaning, also people really need to give cryptic a break they are trying to upgrade the game to add new content that you complainer wanted and to increase server performance as I guess there is increase flux of people starting to play the game due to the film and the change to play the three races.

I mean everyone would be upset if cryptic said we are taking down the servers to add the new contents it will be back up on the 21st may for a grand new launch,

But they did not so like must things in life just be patience and stop all the complaining over a game !!

Hope to be on later when servers are back up, and keep up the great work on the romulan side so far every impressed with all the update that's are coming with the launch :-)

Same here and I have been TRIBBLE out contraband to make EC. It got me the XI purps. I usually only PVP with Fleet mates and friends but I like to be prepared to use my cloak and dagger tactics on Noobs who think they can take me. I rely on my cloak, lance and Subspace Jumper to stay behind the enemy, especially those frakin escorts >:D

This post is addressed specifically to Brandon.

Since you are the liaison between PWE and us lowly users, communication is the
key to customer satisfaction. In the future, when there is maintenance to be done,
be it scheduled, unscheduled, or emergency,
"PLEASE STATE THE NATURE OF THE EMERGENCY" (to paraphrase the EMH).

For example, what type of emergency is it?

    - Natural disaster: Fire, flood, lightning, earthquake, tornado, meteor, sunspots, etc.
    - Man made disaster: Tripped on power cord, put too many games on one server,
put too many servers on one router, failed to anticipate network load, etc.
    - Hamster disaster: Got drunk and fell off the wheel, got hair caught in bearings of the wheel,
died due to lack of food and/or water, etc.

With this many outages in a single week, (what is it, 4 or 5 this week?),
we need much better communication of exactly is going on over there.

It would go a long way to alleviating the 100+ pages of trolling you get after each outage.

I think one of the female programmers is having her period. Worst natural disaster ever.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

i am i f2player, but even i buy zen, i dont do it always, but i think i spend a total of 400 euro on zen, in the year i play,so not every f2player doesnt add to the pool, maybe we dont add as much as the lifers/goldie's, but some try to help out, just a thought tho.

I'm F2P also. What we get for Zen is "stuff", not game time. The "stuff" will still be there when maintenance is finished.
