[*]The glass background has been removed from the bridge officer tray.

While I'm indifferent to this change, the BO tray now looks somewhat at odds with the rest of the UI. Is there some way it could be made to look tidier and fit in without resorting to the bulky glass background? Maybe small, unobtrusive, glass borders around the indivdual BO stations instead?

    • When in red alert, frame elements now pulse red slowly.

Please, just don't. The <blink> tag is finally dying a well-deserved death, we don't need it back as part of the UI.

Having everything pulsating is going to be very, very distracting. There's a reason ships don't have blinking red lights during battle-stations - it would be hard as hell to focus on what needs to be done.

If ANYTHING should blink, it should be you ship's health once it drops below 25 or 50%. I get popped in the Chel Grett because it is difficult to notice the health in your peripheral vision.

Oh, by the way, I wasn't responding with foolish ingornance. You, on the other hand, have done nothing but complain unnecessarily. Also, calling someone a 5 year-old isn't the way to gain favor.

Oh so reporting bugs and other issues is complaining?

I did not know that

How could i be so foolish to think something as casual as reporting bugs and actually testing a game on a "TEST SERVER" was considered complaining.

i was skeptical at first but it's pretty subtle and dark not a bright red of the old KDF UI more maroon

If you haven't seen it yet, it's done just right and isn't distracting. It only flashes red in a few parts and you probably won't notice unless you look right at it and aren't doing anything else. It's realistic as far as what we see on the shows.

As per your Original Post (that started this whole topic anyways)

I am getting the feeling cryptic is going to release LoR AS IS with all the bugs included we have just over a month before release and still no romulans or klings for that matter.

Time is running out and if full testing on LoR doesnt start soon there wont be enough time to fix all the issues and bugs that will come with this enormous expansion.

There is no Bug there. There is talk of supposed bugs, which may or may not exist, for content that is not currently available for testing.

While your concern about possible bugs might have merit. You are complaining about not having sufficient time to test something, and thus find all the bugs.

In my experience, Based on the Feds, The first 14-15 missions can be completed by a serious player in two days. After that it slows a bit as you hit a wall were mission content alone will not level you up sufficiently, So you have to look for experience else where such as from Doff mission, etc. to make up the difference.

Be that as it may, I have no doubt a serious player can level up from 1 to max level in 2-3 weeks. We have double that amount of time. No, Not everyone is going to get to max level before this hits live. But you don't need EVERYONE to hit max level. Just enough people to hopefully find any bugs QA missed. There is still plenty of time.

Fine then personal opinons are not welcomed and further more I DID NOT SAY IT WAS A BUG!!

If i find bugs i wont report them if i see something amiss so be it im not going to stress over something that no one else cares about.

Ive been part of testing on games before but this is the first time ive actually met "Game Testers" happy with mediocracy and dont strive to make things better.

As a tester you must demand more from developers so they know your not happy and they understand that things need fixed or improved.

When a game stops improving and evolving then its time to shut it down and part of the improvement and evolution process is game testers demanding more to get more and to keep the game moving forward.

But oh well if mediocracy you want who am i to say anything

On the 8th, I dabbled in creating an Alien-Romulan. As an experiment. I know some player's on Holodeck who have such Alien-Romulan creations using that Romulan forehead tattoo. As of today's update, I login to find this tattoo is no longer on my character. And is no longer listed with the other tattoos for Alien builds at the Tailor.

Please tell me that was an oversight? While I'm sure some player's will be thrilled to roll an original Romulan from level 1, some player's won't enjoy losing the carefully considered Alien they created three years ago.

Wow, okay, when has someone said they wanted "mediocrity" as you called it? No one, so why do you keep saying that we want it when no one wants it. You will be able to test for bugs in the next month and 2 and a half or so weeks until Legacy of Romulus goes live on Holodeck. Please try to understand that.

On the ship selection screen the hanger bay is colliding with the set as current button and a resize is required to bring it above the icon (its dosen't bother me but...).

I can't perform a respec by removing a few skill points from an Admiral skill and putting them in an Admiral skill (even though when I hit apply I am at 300'000 space and 66'000 ground), it displays the error: There was an error when ranking up your skills.

I can send mail with items to myself fine on tribble if that information helps.

Don't know if its suppose to or not but the image at the bank is only showing half a emblem (the bottom half).

And with the UI, its actually not the gaps themselves in the trays that I have a problem with, but the size of the skill icons, they are too small and blur on my screen resolution (1366x768), increasing the UI size solves that problem but the rest of the UI looks to large then.

On the loading screen its not so much the font that bothers me just the way it blends with the rest of the loading screen, but since its a loading screen its not really that bad and its not really that bad in the first place *embarresment* (its not like it could of been changed anyway, that same font is standard thoughout the UI and looks nice in other places).

Also all the icons in the character apperence editor on the loading screen are invisible, but when I click on them they work fine.

Edit: Tau Dewa transwarp, transwarps me to the same place as I used it, but that might be because I haven't levelled reputation to tier 1.

The green font was probably me over-reacting, so the only real problem left is the jagged edges which may not be fixable at all.

Someone also tuned the bloom with LOR update, from a birds eye view from the shuttle transporter pad, the bloom no longer completely hides my character with the same graphics settings due to over intensity, although I have no idea why I was doing that in the first place lol.

I have to agree, although flashing hull strength idicator seems like an awesome idea, esp. for PvP (what the post that was quoted by the post I quoted said: If ANYTHING should blink, it should be you ship's health once it drops below 25 or 50%. This will happen to older characters until later this week when a fix goes to Tribble. Rest assured it will not happen on Holodeck. Try transferring your affected characters again next week and if it is still happening, please let us know.

Sounds good... Nothings ever happened that bad on holodeck before LOL :D

    Is he a Romulan?

It bears mention that for them Commander is their Captain rank, so a Romulan going from Commander to Admiral is a single rank promotion.

The new tailor UI seems to be coming along well.

However, there *needs* to be some kind of marking on the sliders so we can tell where they're set! Optimially, some kind of lines or lines/numbers - A 0 in the middle, with a -5 on the left and +5 on the right would be ideal, or 9 equidistant lines in the bar so we can actually tell where the sliders are. It's hard to make matching characters (if someone wanted) without some kind of visual indicator where the slider is.

And yes, while there is a 'save' button, you can't load setting to a different race. For example, the Liberated Borg player race is different than the Borg BOFF, so if one wanted to make their Captain and BOFF twins, you can *not* load one 'costume' into the other character. The only way is to remember what the slider settings are, and that's nearly impossible the way they currently are on Tribble.

Having reviewed it for myself I don't find the new red alert effect distracting in the least and is in line with the canon of the series.

As for the tailor, the team still needs to lose the facial features and hairstyle bars next to the character though, they are flat out obstructive and not helpful in the least.

I must say, ever since PW got a hold of Cryptic they have made a VAST amount of progress. I remember when I first started playing during Season 1.5, we were constantly being promised "We will be giving you Fleet Starbases and Romulans soon." Well look at it now! We have almost everything we were promised. Minus Sector space being all one area and some PVP updates, but seeing how Cryptic has been doing since they got their act together... I'm not complaining in the least!

Oh and one other thing... Might not be the place for this because I don't know if it truly is a bug, but what the hell.

Reclaimed my NX Class Light Escort for a new toon on the test server and I noticed I could remove the U.S.S. prefix entirely! As I said IDK if this is a bug but I like it! I was wondering if the people at Cryptic could add a C-Store item so we can remove or use custom prefixes on ALL our ships. Assuming people don't do something stupid like using "A.S.S." as a prefix I would DEFIANTLY pay money to do this! (Considering *MY* characters aren't truly members of Starfleet anyway. They just like using their ships.)

Could it not increase the damage we deal by 2.5% per critical hit?

Or a instant kill by 2.5% per critical hit? hm?

Ive worked out that its related to any fleet items in that area accept from how they're equipped to boffs...ill transfer fine and with gear if it is ordinary ships and c store ships not fleet store ships
What gear specifically is being stripped?

In my experience, I transferred a Fed character with c-store ship ready. The ship (HEC) was totally empty (not even a warp core) as was my personal inventory and bank. Other ships were fine. After selecting a level up ship (Tactical Escort) and transferring again, the problem did not reoccur. The only fleet items that character might have would be a Doff or two, and I'm not entirely sure if I did buy one or not. No fleet space/ground equipment or fleet ships. Yet.

Will test this out a few times once the fix gets put in.

There is one thing that I'd really like to see...the ability to form a guild as a single player. Quite honestly, I keep getting kicked from guilds because I'll go offline for a month and then come back. Plus, I don't tend to play much with others. However, because so much stuff is wrapped up in the fleet system now, it kind of seems unfair to have those of us who are dedicated solo players locked out.

I don't even care that it could take me forever to level up my base.

Well, you can form a temporary team with 4 random volunteers who will help you form your fleet and then bugger off, but it is true that this simply adds an unnecessary layer of irritation to those who REALLY want a one-man fleet, or are forming a fleet with friends who don't often share a timeslot.

Well, that's a lot of it. I just don't want to bother anyone. I could ask, but it seems like I'd be imposing.
