That's what I had concluded. It's nearly impossible for everyone to like every patch, unfortunatly.
That's a very good point also. Personally, I can think of many more important things to fix besides that. Considering my Ferasan has this combo, I feel like my toon now deserves a free retrait for them changing how a skill can be used that has been this way since the toon was available in the C-Store for purchase.
So anyways, been taking a break from STO for the last few days, due to game burnout. I shall return soon though. To find more things wrong with the game, which are not wrong, but "working as intended".

I have been thinking of doing the same. Honestly, I PAID for cat species, and I PAID for the Pounce ability, and now a bunch of free-to-plays who has only been playing for a month are taking away my stuff just because they DON'T have the stuff themselves. Why is Cryptic allowing this?
That fact that it IS something you have to purchase in order to unlock means that by nature it SHOULD be better than the stuff you get for free. Same is true for species, ships, weapons, and anything else Zen Store offers. It is SUPPOSED to be better than the free stuff, or else it would be given for free.
Now if you want to argue about being Elitist, or about not wanting to spend real money, then just use the Dilithium Exchange. Turn your Dilithium into Zen, then you too can have the best species, the best weapons, and the best ships. All of this is possible by only using in-game currencies. You just need to work for it. That's right. If you want the best stuff, you need to work for it. The work is good for you anyway. It builds character.
That is how I got my Ferasan and Caitians species, my Odyssey Pack, my Fleet Negh'Var, and all the weapons and equipment on them. Every last bit of it was bought through work and Dilithium Exchange. Problem solved.

I've heard this idea that it would effect very few people and even then, using the exploit was difficult because you can't really get in the position where you could do it twice.
Actually I was learning to use this devastating eat your face maneuver.
Pounce, roll back, secondary attack, lunge. If the player isn't dead after that, run the F away
BTW, we are now the most viewed and most replied-to thread in the Qo'noS sub-forum. Our neighbors have thrown us this boot as a gift.

We had the most replied-to title. But we just recently broke the most viewed record.
Two things to keep in mind:
That other thread was an archived post. Our thread came after the forum purge.
This count doesn't actually include our first thread that we abandoned after the forum purge.
We are some talkative folks.

Sure, they are involved, but I do not believe them to be the cause. I firmly believe that 90%+ of these nerf threads are made by people who have only been playing for a month or two, so therefore only have the basic free stuff, have never spent or earned even a single Zen, and are angry that you should have to WORK to EARN the best stuff.

Really it's a group of people with both types. They die a few times and deem it OP.
There are threads calling for Danubes and power drain builds to be nerfed to oblivion.Even though they already have been.
They couldn't beat a more experienced player at the game and so they are being sore losers.
I still think that the vast majority of these whiners need a ban, but that's just me. And my own opinion.

Not at all. You have a full-time job AND a family to care for? You are active military? No big deal. Just login at your own convenience whenever you have the time. You can donate however much or how little you have the time for. We will not punish you in any way for not having the time to devote.
Hey cats, started a new thread with some ideas for improving the Reputation Experience for those of us with multiple alts. I'd appreciate it if some of you would go weigh in with your own opinions and suggestions.
I didn't mean it THAT way.
If there were a quota we needed to meet, I could complete that FIRST before doing the selfish stuff.
Thanks for the quick reply, anyway.
We only have a time requirement. We have found that prevents a lot of problems
Initiate (probationary period): 7 Days
Specialist: Where most fleet members end up
Elite: Select hand-picked active members of the fleet designated to keep it running.
Master: founders and other trusted members

do the specialist ranks get to buy stuff from the fleet base/embassy though? looking at the info on the first page of this topic, it looks like only elites can
50K in fleet credits isn't that big of a deal, but having to wait 2 months to get access to anything when it only takes about a week to get from 20 to 50, at which point you need to start gearing, is a little ridiculous, and the only thing stopping me from dropping either of my ferasans here
if specialists can buy the gear as well, though, or you can ask to be temporarily promoted if you need a specific piece of gear badly enough, i could see myself wanting to join, because after reading through all 147 pages of this topic, you seem like a really friendly bunch of fuzzballs who don't stand for any drama
the fact that some of you seem to dislike a certain federation troll fleet specializing in dental work is just icing on the cake :P
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.

The time requirement is used to show that you want to be here, and not to just stop by for 5 minutes to grab a high tier piece of gear.

i know that; i just think 2 months is overdoing it, especially for something that isn't all that great to begin with at its current costs...all the fleet/embassy stuff is way too overpriced for what you get out of it
after being slammed by cryptic's for so long, the one thing i really can't stand is time gates, which is why i asked if there were alternatives to the 2 month wait
