    Hi Captains,

    Testing is almost complete and we've received great data from it that should help in the investigation. We very much appreciate your patience.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    and again here we go with server issues, was on playing fine until 10 mins ago and now can not get back in. This is what the Star Trek legacy has come to? This is your customer service, consider me another cancelled account as i am sick and tierd of the endless bugs, and problems of this game, and further more i will never play buy or suggest any cryptic product ever again. After 20 years of online gaming I can honestly say this has been the worst experiance of them all. Thank you for destroying the legacy on Rodenbury, I am sure some where he is looking down and cursing .

    Brandon, to begin with: notice in a thread where people are simply spamming useless information really isn't notice. In game is a poor place to find info on the forum, and since most of us were playing we had no notice nor information prior to the boot.

    Second, testing is one thing. PWE disabled the service entirely. That is downtime... not testing. Network testing, even load testing, rarely (if ever) actually requires turning a service off.

    Since its very clearly stated that the forums are basically a funnel for community interaction and shouldn't essentially be trusted as information that is canon from the company, the communication of issues and progress is essentially non existent. I did more to explain what was going on than you guys did last night.

    A few short words explaining the problem isn't hard... nor is 15min notice that things are going down again.

For those that are planning to post, please post tracerts for launcher.startrekonline.com and accounts.crypticstudios.com -- this info will be very helpful to the Engineers.

    I do not mind if connection issues keep me off the game for a few minutes at the time, thats to be expected with the fragility of Cryptic's coding however having the game unplayable for hours begs the question, what are paying for, a game we cannot play?

    Not to mention that they could not wait until Thursday, normal maintenance day to actually do this patch and end up breaking the launcher as a result of their rushed and botched job.

    Its happening again on my end. During the early hours of the day, the launcher loaded and allowed entry into "STO". At this point in time, the launcher does not even load.

    Guys keep calm, this is a provider issue... nothing to do but to wait, this is like a power outage... nothing more, nothing less

    Same thing as yesterday now is happening again today. For me and few others at least. To be honest, this is getting a lil old.

    The launcher is refusing to launch, trying to connect 3 times and then Patch server error. It is not on my end, now please fix it.

    Actually this time its not. This is a test and only a test. Nothing is actually broken right now, they disabled the ability to hit the server that reports patch information and allows loading the launcher and the game (and any maps subsequent to the one you load in to).

    There is a big difference.

    I don't play any of them, but I'd be willing to bet every game PWE has is out right now.
