Seriously, this is ridiculous. Some of us have jobs and don't get to sit around and play all day. This has been going on for well over 12 hours and it still isn't fixed. I am having no internet problems, it is not my system, my ISP, and this sure as hell isn't regional unless you define regional as the planet. It is your patch server. Some people actually do put money into this game. That money was clearly wasted.

This is a load of ****ing BULL****. How does a supposedly small patch destroy everyone's ability to log in? I PAID for my sub, and I've been loyal for over 3 years. If the game dies, okay. Life goes on. But you think we could get a little notice first? Bull****ting a patch and blaming it for all this upset is NOT covering up the fact that this game is more than likely OVER. Believe me, us lifers have seen it coming for a LONG time.
And I would think that with all the money made on BULL**** lock boxes you would at least have the decency to WARN us of any major changes. Just PRETEND you care. That's all we're asking.
Perfect World, GO **** YOURSELVES.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

It's not the patch itself.
The same problem occurs with CO currently, which had no patch. It is a backend issue. Given how it's behaving, I suspect it's a mirroring issue.
We believe the error with the STO launcher has been resolved. Please let us know if you are continuing to see an error when loading it.
If it is running slow, please post a new tracert post (if you're willing, and after removing personal and sensitive data) so we can look into those reports.
Cheers,

It was back and functioning for awhile, but now similar to before. Can't get into the launcher.
So I can log in it just refuses to load any sectors past 40.96%. Really glad I used dil for my coins instead of actually giving this sorry excuse for a game money.

That's just what DNS reverselookup is pulling up as the FQDN for that IP., it's not too important.
Well now the launcher has failed too. on a side not I also cannot access the STO website. I need to get to the forums through the main perfect world website. This "patch" nonsense is a load of bull****. Let me tell you.
Well i got into the game for 10mins and got froze out when i tried to get into the shipyard on ESD. Driving me nutz. I would do the proxy setting but alas im not a comp person, so need a little instruction on how to it...can anyone help?
I am close, I can get to the point on the launcher that it displays login area and will say Patch in the Patch/Engage button area, previously I only got a white screen for that launcher window, or the small grey box indicating it was attempting to autoupdate the launcher would hang out until I got the error pop up others have posted.
Hopefully, this helps:

Comments
The team is continuing to investigate your reports, but this does not seem to affect all players -- again, the initial reports of this started before the patch this morning so it is not related to today's maintenance. To help in the investigation, please run a tracert (instructions for this process here) pointing to launcher.startrekonline.com and copy/ paste your results in this thread if you're comfortable doing so and making sure you star out your local IP address/ other sensitive data.
Cheers,

It's not the patch itself.
The same problem occurs with CO currently, which had no patch. It is a backend issue. Given how it's behaving, I suspect it's a mirroring issue.
It was back and functioning for awhile, but now similar to before. Can't get into the launcher.
I have confidence that Cryptic's Chief Engineer can solve this problem and we'll be warping our way around the Galaxy once again.
That's just what DNS reverselookup is pulling up as the FQDN for that IP., it's not too important.
Well i got into the game for 10mins and got froze out when i tried to get into the shipyard on ESD. Driving me nutz. I would do the proxy setting but alas im not a comp person, so need a little instruction on how to it...can anyone help?
Hopefully, this helps:
