And it will continue after this debacle dies down. It'll be forgotten once the number of outraged players falls below a certain threshold, but I bet they remember to take your money.

Well, you know, as a fallback position, they could not act like they're completely mystified by this every time. You would think "cross your fingers and hope for the best" would lose it's appeal after it repeatedly blows up in your face like this.

I try that as on wifi hotspot I can still pull 30 meg on my htc one x+

I am in game now through that method.

    Download Private tunnel.

Install and connect ( you can also use any VPN)

Load the launcher, login and let it patch.

Make sure auto patching is off under launcher options.

Click engage and go into one of your characters.

Dissconnect from your vpn or private tunnel.

You will see that you are dissconnected, but leave the window open!!

Wait a couple of mins for your own broadband to reconnect.

    Log back into game.

    Voila :D

yep but as soon as you patch on demand you cant connect
as ive been waiting to patch for 5 min now:mad:

Honestly now I am getting irritated. By this point I would expect at the very least for them to have located the problem and be working on a solution or an official workaround or something.

But the latest update they are still investigating. Yeah someone needs to light a fire under some rears.

An easy fix would be to route all of Cryptic's pay through the same server.

I bet that would get fixed fast.

    QFT.

All well and good to talk about "not many players affected", but that's not really the point Cryptic, not the point at all. Besides, your idea of 'not many' is probably in the thousands!

Sort it out, because whatever you have done to mess the connections up, it was almost certainly not a necessary change.

Same issue, launcher won't update. Got in by tethering my mobile to update and patch the game, then disconnecting it.
The game then spits you out when transferring between maps, with more patching errors.

    Hi Captains,

The team is continuing their investigation. Please note that this began before the patch this morning, so it is unrelated. As I receive more information, I will update this thread.

Also, if you sent in a tech support ticket, thank you! Please watch your email as we may reach out to you to request additional information.

We hope to have this resolved ASAP.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    Please see this temp connection:

    https://www.privatetunnel.com/index.php/client-download

Create an account after install, verify email, open program and connect to California, once connected click on STO icon and that's it. Until PWE figures out its problem. Thiswill work for East Coast users, not sure if the international members are capable of using this.

    -Kudos

    This Works!!

    Thank You!

    U.S.S. Andromeda reporting:

Main power is off line however the aux power is online. I have evaced all non essential personal into the saucer section. I ordered the launch of Andromeda's escort to protect the ship until power is restored.

    Supplemental

We have decided that the new ships counceller, Troi should take over the controls of the ship as we drift past the 3rd planet in the system, im sure nothing can happen while the ship is out of power.
