I'm in France, provider Orange, My connexion is ok, but i have the same issue. Cryptic launcher try to connect 1 time, 2 time, then Unable to connect to the patch server please check your internet connexion...
And since when was it the responsibility of the players to fix the TRIBBLE you guys break im a little more then sick of this garbage.
Chill bro, they're not telling us to fix it, they just want our help clarifying what the issue actually is so they CAN fix it.
But yeah, I'm still having issues in the UK here. Won't be able to access my computer for a few days starting to tomorrow anyway, hopefully it'll be fixed by the end of that.
You're not the only one. I've had this issue since last night. It started with horrible lag, it moved on to being stuck and not being able to change zones, then it graduated to not being able to login at all.

Here's mine, from Pennsylvania. Launcher takes forever to pop up, and once it does, stays at a white screen.
This problem has existed some time after I logged off (which was ~4pm PST). Then about 6:30am PST I was able to log on for 30m before the server went down. This to my knowledge has nothing to do wit the patch but those that could get on now can't with much of the world.
From what Ive heard this hit an hour before the patch. Either its a time traveling bug it for once the patch did not break something. At least not this.
The team is investigating, but this does not seem to affect all players and may be regional. To help in the investigation, please run a tracert (instructions for this process here) pointing to http://launcher.startrekonline.com and copy/ paste your results in this thread if you're comfortable doing so and making sure you star out your local IP address.
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
sir i still cannot get past the launcher. i am not techincally inclined and cannot post the information you ask for. is this a cryptic issue that needs to be fix or am i doing somthing wrong here. i have restarted reset my ip and made failed attempt to phone supprt. is there a way to get in contact with a customer support agent to walk me through whatever fix may be needed on my side?

I agree i keep getting asked to download Oracle to my laptop though i already HAVE oracle on my laptop this happens each time i try to launch the launcher.
Im not gonna use tracet or whatever this is cryptics responsibility to fix the issue this is why they get paid its not mine or any other players responsibility.
Maybe im a lil old fashioned but i beleive if you break it you fix it not blame others for what you did and expect them to fix it for you.
i dunno if this is a related issue but i cant even get onto the cryptic store on the website to look at anything, i was hoping to play it todfay i finally get time to play it and its a problem, had it last week had thurs to play it but oh wait a patch, cant they give a better heads up about the patch maybe in game or summat coz its stupid
Wow this isn't personal information they are asking for, infact brandon asked that everyone ***.***.***.*** out their own IPs, they are tracing what happens after your launcher goes looking for the sto launcher server.
Also i don't think this problem has anything to do with the patch, as the problem is pre existing to the shard going down for maintenance
SCM - Infected(S) - DMG Out: 11,776,567 DPS: 114,224.70 (28.7% of Team) - Pinky@ukcaptain420 I reserve the right to have a completely different standpoint depending on my mood.
Ok everyone, calm down... I've had the problem 1 hour before the server was shut down, so it is not Cryptics failure. There are 2 possibilities:
a) the Server has broken down (patchserver that provides the Launcher-Patch) or
b) the connection between Cryptics network and the cogentco-network fails.
In case of b) Cryptic can't solve the problem, a) is more unlikely, I think they should have tried to reboot the server first.

I have now tried to connect for 15-20 minutes after your patch, can you please let us know WHAT you do with the money we pay you for the server. Because it isn't going where we would like it to, proof in point, i can't get past your auto update launcher. Great game support guys.
Maybe im a lil old fashioned but i beleive if you break it you fix it not blame others for what you did and expect them to fix it for you.
I think you are reading into things.. They are trying to asses where the problem is so they can resolve the problem. They didn't blame the users for the problem.. And they didn't ask the users to fix the problem.. They just asked to get some info from us so they could see where the connection fails. In my opinion at least.
i dunno if this is a related issue but i cant even get onto the cryptic store on the website to look at anything, i was hoping to play it todfay i finally get time to play it and its a problem, had it last week had thurs to play it but oh wait a patch, cant they give a better heads up about the patch maybe in game or summat coz its stupid
The least they could do is send us an e-mail. I dont have a lot of time to play between work and tending to the woman when she is home.
This is incredibly irritating... Don't make me start up SWTOR out of bordom...

I think you are reading into things.. They are trying to asses where the problem is so they can resolve the problem. They didn't blame the users for the problem.. And they didn't ask the users to fix the problem.. They just asked to get some info from us so they could see where the connection fails. In my opinion at least.
The least they could do is send us an e-mail. I dont have a lot of time to play between work and tending to the woman when she is home.
This is incredibly irritating... Don't make me start up SWTOR out of bordom...
