    I am having a similar problem as well. Launcher will not load.

    The problem must be on cryptics end, both STO and CO are inaccessible, both Cryptic games, only one of which had a patch today. My prognosis is the code-writing monkey spilt his coffee on the cryptic servers, like after the season six launch and the sudden server crash.

    I won't post the whole tracert, but it does time out on the 10th hop and every one after it times out too.

    The last one that responds is the 9th hop:

    Greetings from fog bound blighty

    ahem

    all im getting is the little launcher box in the top left corner, trying to update the launcher and after 2 tries it goes bing and another box comes up and goes FAIL!!!!!! Unable to connect to patch server.......

    My poor KDF Andorian will have to wait longer to level up

    I don't know if this helps but its not just a region issue, i switched from my fiber optic to my backup dsl connection and was able to connect just fine. Did a tracert for comparison.

    Edit: Once the game had patched and launched i logged out switched back to my fiber and am able to login just fine. The problem appears to be isolated to the launcher/patch server.

    I've been getting problems too, sometimes it says it's unable to connect to patch server after 2 tries, and sometimes the launcher pops up and says "Loading. Please wait" ugh :mad:

    Its official they have done it again. This is an issue either with cryptics ISP or with the routers themselves. If your seeing this error right now odds are good your being blocked. You can sometimes get around this by adjusting settings on your router or by disconnecting the router. It tends to crop up after maintenance sometimes and is a real pain in the rear.

    I suspect its the result of someone trying to speed through the maintenance process and they really need to address it.

    A good way to test and see if you are having this issue is by going to www.Startrekonline.com. That appears to try and take you through the same server if you can not load that page then odds are you are being blocked. You can still access the website and forums via the perfect world URL because they are on a different server.

    its a strange one. Simple fix for those with a mobile connection... I created a wifi hotspot on my phone and got the update and launched the game fine, then switched back to dsl and all is dandy.

    thats because the website he quoted is designed to automatically redirect you to sto.perfectworld.com

    www.startrekonline.com does not exist anymore.
