    It's not the number of hops, the last responding server is usually te4-2.ccr01.bos06.atlas.cogentco.com [66.28.4.254]... The operator of those servers is known for trouble...

    it is beginning to look like this is not just a regional problem, but one that affects people from just about everywhere in the world. So apparently it is a problem on Cryptic's end or something like that.

    ive been having problems with the launcher aswell today, just the box saying trying to update launcher, after that fails 2-3 times another box saying unable to establish connection to patch server, and no its not my antivirus and yes ive repeatedly tried the latest launcher from the sticky.

    There has to be more than one way to get to the login server. Unless its hosted on that companies physical equipment...
