KDF one looks alright. It's a little bulky. I will hold off on my judgment of the FED ship until I see better screenshots of it. However, I will say that it does look a bit kitbashed.
Same here. I do love "Chimara class", though. And I would love to see it replace, or at least supplement, the Typhoon Battleship.

Sorry, I find the Federation 1000 Day Veteran Reward Ship ugly. Looks like a beached whale. Plus, there is NO original design concept in this starship. It's saucer section looks directly stolen from the Sovereign class. I also can't stand any starship that has quad nacelles. Oh well, doesn't surprise me overall. This game is all about the C-Store anyway. On the plus side, the Klingon starship looks pretty good.
It would be entirely to cool if the ship changed based on your character profession.
I would be very... Miffed, if it turned into a Sci ship on me. I already HAVE the sci ship I want. I want a do-everything ship, preferably with a spinal lance or two somewhere.
My curiosity about both starships is piqued. Chimera-class Battleship as a Typhoon-Refit is an interesting idea. For a low-res screenshot, I'm impressed just how close it appears to Vektor's original submission. I can only assume that Vektor will name his USS Magellanic.
Part of me is kinda shocked that the free ships will be so elaborate in features. But I'm not going to say no when my 1000th day hits.
I only hope the Very Cryptic is cryptic enough to cloak.

I think the KDF one is just so incredibly cutesy-wootsy that I'd feel bad blowing them up in kerrat.
I do like the idea of it being able to shift configurations into multiple roles- sort of like the D'kora's battle/defense modes.
I was really hoping that the fed ship would be the Fuzzyprize, but the Chimera is pretty snazzy too. I'm not quite sure what to make of the deflector, and it's a little bit... long... to really be a 'destroyer'.
Doubt your latinum Master Keys idea will ever occur at the current drop rate. It would completely mess up the economy if I can open up thousands of lockboxes for free.
I think you are right here, but they really should give us some type of key that opens 1 or more lock-box each day. Most of the loyalty rewards are lame. Honestly a pet? a title? a respec??? WTF!!!
Make it something worth getting so people will support the game.
love the Vektor already, i just hope the deflector doesnt make an odd smily mouth when i look at it from the front for the first time.
but the KDF version?... somehow these cryptic made raptors and birds of prey look all the same to me, i hope the special power is transferable to other Ships.
So.. what other ships are there gonna be? A raptor and a cruiser isn't exactly a reward thats useable by a lot of players. ^_^
They are supposed to be transformable. My guess is that they are probably made to switch forms to take on different ship-type roles: one would act as a Cruiser, one a Science, one an Escort, one for a Special Ability, and maybe one for a Sector Travel. I am optimistic.
