IMO no matter what they do with those ships someone will complain, but I doubt it will be all uni slots.
To minimize complaining to a less painful level they'd probably need
to relese the ships in three versions like the Flagships.

Since they are Destroyers, we know they will have a Com Tac slot, but they could perhaps have a LtCom universal slot. Most of the Destroyers have a En Engi and Lt Engi slot, except the lobi destroyers that have a the Lt slot as Universal.
I personally think that if they do have a Uni slot, it will be a Lt.
I think they will be like this:
1 Com tac
1 LtCom tac
1 Lt Sci
1 En Engi
1 Lt universal
Although, since the ships will have "abilities/transformations" it's possible that the Uni slot will be Engi like most the other destroyers.
W will find out tomorrow.

Well, then it shouldn't be called the Chimera, because Bellerophon killed Chimera.
So maybe the Bellerophon class gets some x5 damage vs Chimera bonus.

I imagine if there are C-Store versions, then it would be permanently locked into one mode. Therefore, if there are 3 different modes on the Chimera, then there are 3 different C-Store ships.

Why C-store ship, I DO NOT want to see the 1k vet ship ending up in C-store. Not even if the Vet ship is 3 ships in 1, and the C store ships are 3 separate forms of it.
Its 1 ship, with transforming possibilities, and if i look at the myth a lion, a serpent and a goat.
I would think,
Lion = Tactical ( Strong and fast )
Serpent = science ( Paralyzing poison )
Goat = Engineer ( Has antlers for defense )
Just one hell of a geuse tho.

Same here. I never want to see this ship as a C-Store ship. There should only be one way to get this ship. I was just stating what I think would be the only way I would tolerate having a C-Store variation of this ship. The Lotus power might be a paralyzing poison since the Lotus eaten by the Lotus Eaters in the Odyssey was a narcotic that caused apathy.

They were supposed to, but as far as I can tell it's just more of the same fluff we've been getting since friday, and no actual substance on what these ships will actually be. We already KNEW what they would look like, so that's of no use.

They transform (the models physically change), which we already got hinted from the tweet leak pic, Sector space mode, supposedly Battle mode.

Still got my fingers crossed for a ship that is the equal to the fleet ships. Our fleet is about to unlock the Tier 3 shipyard, so the long (and expensive) process of upgrading my ships to the Fleet versions is about to begin. If the Chimera is as good as them, I might be able to resist temptation for a while.
Also, I spent some time looking at mythology, think I will name my Chimera the U.S.S. Orthrus - gotta stay in the family
