Wait till you see her in-game. A still from a digital camera taking video doesn't do the Chimera justice. She is absolutely beautiful, and so is the KDF ship. Also, their transformations are incredible.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    Sorry for saying this

Obviously I can't speak for anyone but myself, but it has to look a h*ll of alot better in game and than it does there and on the concept art for me to claim it...

Cause the art was just horrible and made my eyes bleed.

What is it with the cartoonish styles?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Just saw the DTNE entry for this ship. I threw up a little in my mouth, and not in a good way

I do hope its not an exact replica :(

No, definitely did not say that :) We're not in the office Monday because of the US holiday. The blog will be out on Tuesday afternoon.

The first players will hit their 1000-day mark at some point on Wednesday. The new ships will be available to them.

And apparently I must buy a lottery ticket today since I can read minds.

Actually, I just am good at remembering details. He never said Monday when he said there was a blog coming next week, he said "have a good 3 day weekend" in twitter yesterday for his sign off, and I will hit 1000 on Thursday and know that some people get it the day before me. Sometimes I guess, sometimes I deduce. This was the latter.

Eh, doesn't matter in the least, Monday or Tuesday, or whateversday. It's next week.

And those are some ugly damn ships. The KDF one looks like they kit-bashed the alt-skin for the Hegh'ta with a Bortas. The Fed one seems to be a Prometheus+Odyssey kitbash.

Opinions vary. No matter what they did it was certainly not going to make everyone happy. I'm sure there will be epic gnashing of teeth.

Ticked off that it's not a Fuzzyprise properly reimagined into STO, or a T5 connie, but that's still a sweet ship. It was never Enterprise material, but it'll be a nice addition. I don't get why everyone thinks it's so 'cartoony'. It has a sleek, clean aesthetic that is sorely lacking among Cryptic designs, and I'm not at all ashamed to call it feddie. The only change I'd make to the actual Vektor design is to shallow out the engineering hull so it doesn't look as odd.

And the Klink one is freaking ADORABLE. A clear, purposeful design. Very nice, sleek, and with a clear aesthetic in mind that turned out nicely. I'd fly the TRIBBLE out of that, too.

Addendum: Now to figure out what it does. It'd be nice if they both have mostly or totally universal bridge slots. I'm iffy on the look of the Chimera, as I don't see where the cannons would fire from. I hope it has cannons.

A better thing would be if they both had access to most of their factions T5 power consoles. Any info on that would be nice.

Wait till you see her Lotus power! The KDF ship (the Peghqu') has one too :D I will not be saying anymore  You'll have to turn into Priority One on Monday or the Blog on Tuesday for more details. Needless to say, EPICNESS is abound.

EDIT: James just posted another shot of The Peghqu', showing off one of its modes -- the Sector Space Mode transformation, in this case: http://twitter.com/STOJamesLee/status/254683250440687617/photo/1

I have a feeling it's like the Guramba with a siege mode.

So it probably swaps from Escort to Cruiser with a super weapon in cruiser mode.

Maybe those nacelles rotate around and fire warp plasma out the back?

KDF one looks alright. It's a little bulky. I will hold off on my judgment of the FED ship until I see better screenshots of it. However, I will say that it does look a bit kitbashed.

I hope not...these should be exclusive to 1000 day vets. People who put time and money into the game for long periods of time.

I hope not, that would sort of destroy the reward. But enough begging did get the Gal-X into the C-Store.

Well, they did say it's an Exclusive Variant. So, there may be A Version to go in the store, but not necessarily the full power version. There seems to be at least three 'modes' to this thing, judging from comments, and it's a Destroyer. So, it does look like the Vet version is high on the 'OP' scale.

Hopefully, it is the reverse of what they did for the Odyssey and Bortasqu. The Odyssey and Bortasqu had the no frills model released first and the upgraded version released later on the C-Store. The 1000 day vet reward would have the upgraded version released first and the no frills released later on C-Store.

Although, I am in the If you want it, then earn it camp so there should be no other ways to earn it.

Absolutely. Here's what you have to do:

Subscribe, then wait. You'll receive the ship approximately 1,000 days later.

I'm curious about this transformation system.

I like the fed ship. I think I would like it a bit more if it was just a little bit smaller (going by the windows)

It'll be interesting to see how it transforms.

So, we got the looks... Question is:

How do you plan on feeding the needs of the many? Is this for engineers, Scientists or Tacs? I mean - in the name of Zeus mighty TRIBBLE, give me a reason to fly her!

How about a Universal Commander and a LT of each class?

I'm actually somewhat impressed with the 1k reward ships. More on these transformations would be nice. I sure hope these come with 10 console slots also to make them more of a worthy reward than just some lower tiered handout that no one will give a TRIBBLE about.

I really hope they will be OP as hell so we can see the complaint storm on the forums an laugh all day long.

On a more on topic note. I do like the look fo the fed ship. There are those cruiser bulky looks and those frail edgy escort looks (and the small smooth sci) this one looks like its smaller but still smooth. Would so love to have that a hybrid escort/cruiser (something along the lines of the armitage for slotting but with 5 tac consoles and not the useless 3 en tac slots)

And I really hope the stats will be on par with Fleet Ships or maybe even better. Heck if people say "if its the best ship in the game people would never buy anything else from the store" we already played 1k days, nearly 3 years of sto and I am sure alot of those fellow lifetime players put in some good money on the way to that day towards cryptic.

I would really love to fly that fed ship that looks like a smaller cruiser and turns nearly as well as an escort with dual heavy cannons and proper tactical slotting.
