    It appears that something (huge file omg!) is breaking the wiki. Perhaps splitting the document into two, such as T0 to T3 and another document for T4 to T5, would be helpful.

    In other news, Kinko's (Never "FedEx Office"!) refused to print this because it is copyrighted and no provision for printing for personal use was stated. Sure, I could have blacked out the copyright line, but I'd rather not alter your work. A simple statement next to the copyright stating that the document may be printed for personal use would be grand.

    The Federation (also KDF) Ship Chart will always be released as one document.... I know it's a huge file... The sheer dimensions of the document makes the file huge. I export the chart as a JPG document 75% of it's normal quality; anything less takes away from the ship details when you zoom in. I may be decreasing the quality a bit if the document gets much larger (right now it's at 6.23mb). This applies to the KDF chart as well, but that size is about 5.76mb.

    As for the Wiki... I agreed to upload the document (and new versions) to the STOWiki.org site and contribute so that users that may not visit this thread will still have the opportunity to use my charts. The upload limitation was stated as 12mb per file, which I am way under. I left a message with Rachel Garrett, who said that the problem is related to the wiki's thumbnail generation hitting a memory limit. She's trying to get the RAW thumbnail generation memory limit increased. So, I guess I either start outputting a LowQuality version for STOwiki and a High Quality version (double the work), or Rachel will get the server issues worked out... (Or I could just go on hearing, "You broke the wiki. :mad: ) Either way, this thread will always be the most up-to-date and the easiest way you can contact me. For easy sake, remember http://bit.ly/stoshipchart (it's also listed under the title on the graphic, itself!)

    Other news: I find that Kinko's thing hilarious. I put a blurb up there on v6.4, so that should get you through the mean ol printing guys! LOL Either way, you have to send me a picture of it hanging on your wall! haha I've been thinking about doing this for my new office too.

    Hah, he must have gone to a Kinko's with Soup TRIBBLE, I just had it printed here in Orlando and nobody said a word. Son is at Michaels looking for a poster frame for me. The only thing I had to do was change it to 35x12 to fit in a frame. Nice job by the way, I liked Suricata's also but it hasn't been updated in a good while.

    LOL @ Soup TRIBBLE, "No ship-chart poster for you!" ;) If you get it framed & stuff, you've got to send me a pic of it on your wall. That would make my day! Oh, and I saw you put a link to the FED and KDF charts in your shipyard section. Thx! If you ever get any comments / e-mails sent in about it, direct them this way so they can post in this thread.

    At first I was uploading the document on my website with different version numbers in the filename and just changing the links here and on my site... However, I saw others were linking to it, and wanted to make sure they'd be able to get to it. I wrote a redirect which worked for a while, always linking to the new version, but people would link to the JPG not the URL, so I was having to delete my older versions to activate the default redirect... Anyway, I just came to the decision to replace the file with the same-named file and have just one redirect (in case people still had the version filename linked).

    Anyway, so long story short, I do have all the files achieved on my PC, but am a bit hesitant to post them, cause I definitely don't want to confuse anyone. Or maybe post a link down here in the thread (just for people who are interested to go back and check them out), but I'll probably omit it from the original post.

    SpiderMitch, the latest charts look excellent. I noticed you put the "ok to copy" message on the Fed image, could you put something similar on the next KDF update?

    Star Cruiser shows Inertia of 15. Should be 30 like the Assault Cruiser.

    What's your source? It is possible that they are the same, or that they are different.

    Last time I checked in-game my Star Cruiser has the same Inertia as my Assault Cruiser.

    Just noticed a couple of things, SpiderMitch.
    • The Klingon shuttles have their inertia listed as 10, not 100.
    • The Tal'Kyr support craft still has a Tactical console listed, when it should be an Engineering one.

    2 things I've noticed.

    Fed
    Sci vessels, don't have cannon use listed. They can use the single 180 degree cannons.
    Recon Sci Vessel. 4 devices listed, only 3 on ship.

    If anyone was waiting for it, just wanted to drop a line and let you all know that the Wiki error has been correcting. Rachel attempted at coming up with a server-side solution, and let me know yesterday that the issue can't be solved at the moment. I edited the wiki page today to point to use pre-rendered thumbnails as links that hot-link directly to my site at spidermitch.com (where the links from the original post go to). While I still wish for feedback to be left here, I thought if anyone was waiting for the wiki repairs, I would mention it.

    Other news: I'll be editing the KDF chart this weekend and may try to prep the FED chart for the upcoming multi-vector-assault-mode (which I took screenshots of yesterday).... but where oh where do I put it? :confused: I got some ideas :D

    Again, just wanted to say thanks for everyone's participation in making these charts become a great resource. Spread the word & let people know they're here! http://bit.ly/stoshipchart will bring this thread up & is easy to reference when in-game or chatting with a fleet-mate. :cool:

    Hey.. I just wanted to start off by saying that your work is great, and I reference the chart all the time.

    That said, There are a number of issues I've noticed... that I just thought you should know.

    The TOS Connie and the NX do not share the same turn rate as the light cruiser. The Connie is slower, and the NX is faster, by how much I don't know... but I have access to both ships if you need help.

    Base HP on the Escort is 15000, NOT 11250 as listed.

    Base hull on the Delta Flyer is also 6000 HP, not 5500.

    Base hull on the Somraw hull is 16500, not 13500.

    Thats all I can think of right now, but I'm sure I've noticed more in the past.. I'll post if I come across them again.

    Haha, thank you spidermitch, your the man! How do you go about finding the exact base turn rate of a ship? I know how to find the turn rate... but not the base...

    New character, no space traits, no skill points invested in relative skills, using stock Impulse Engines Standard Issue (+7.5 Flight Speed, +11 Flight Turn Rate) at 100% throttle (but not Full Impulse)...

    Light Cruiser (TOS Connie):

    Light Escort (ENT NX):
    Crew: 85
    Hull: 10,000
    Inertia 50
    Engine Power: 25

    - Turn Rate 16.8 deg/sec.

    Hey spidermitch...thought you'd want to know that the Delta Flyer crafting mission is currently being tested, which means that in the next week or two, the Delta flyer will change from being C-store only to being C-store optional.

    Don't forget that even class plays a slight role, even race in some space skills, so it may not be 100% accurate, but at least closer.

    Of course ship class affects ship stats, but those are inherent in the ship inself. If you mean character class, I've never noticed/heard of this. In what way does character class affect Ship features? Can anyone confirm this? If curious the testing character was a Starfleet Tactical Officer.

    Further, I'm not sure what you mean about "race in some space skills" - I know certain race traits can have an affect, but as described, this character had no space traits. The character is a Pakled and all traits were intentionally picked for the ground: Dumb Luck, Soldier, Stubborn, Sturdy. I also made sure his Efficient Borg BO was not assigned, so the minor Engine Power increase would not be present and affect the results.

    As I mentioned in the tests above, this was a brand new character. To be more detailed, he had only just finished the tutorial and was at ESD for the first time. This was the soonest I could switch to/test the Connie/NX. All 600 skill points he'd received so far had been invested in Starship Energy Weapons Training, which would not affect the stats given above.

    On a side note, Patrick, I love your avatar... Shoot to kill, shoot to kill... Heh, great! Demento fan? :D

    Do you mean Engineering, Science, Tactical? Not that I've ever seen/noticed. Can anyone confirm?

    As far as I can tell, there are no class based passive effects that would impact on P.V.'s results. No class gets an inherent bonus or penalty to ship performance.

    ship comparsion is invaluable to the players, especially for deciding to buy C-Store ships. and not only that, you keep the ship comparsion charts regularly updated, you're always working to elimante any and all errors that you or we notice, and you're always friendly to us; even telling us the planned changes to the chart :D
    so keep up the great work, because we really appreciate it :)

    Thanks for everyone's kind words! When doing a project such as this in one's spare time, sometimes you can get down and suddenly these things seem like a chore. You'd be surprised how a kind word can lift spirits and motivate you to keep going. :)

    Anywho, I added the new Class-F shuttle, and thanks to Cerender (who e-emailed me pics), I've added all the angles & got it up!. :cool:

    I just wanted to point out that it is the Recon and not the DSSV that has an impulse modifier of 0.17

    I know it is still listed incorrectly on the in game console stats, but is strangely reflected correctly on the STO main website ship stats.

    I have tested this both early in the game near launch, and checked again today to make sure this was still the case.

    Quick test Results:
    Formula: Base + (FSpd + (EPow - 50) x IMod x EMod) x (1 + Stat / TMod)
    Base: 5
    FSped: (14,12) (tooltip)
    EPower: 109
    IMod: Impulse modifier(0.17,0.15)
    EMod: 1.35 (Hyper Impulse)
    Stat: T1+T2+(0.5xT3)+(0.5xT4)+T5 (Skill)
    TMod: 400 (T3+)

    Recon:
    Skill: 129
    5+(14+(109−50)
