Yay! The NX class has been released. Good thing they added the views as well. It'll be easier to add to your chart.
Features, according to C-Store:
- three weapons slots (2 fore, 1 aft),
- seats for three bridge officers (Ensign Engineering, Ensign Tactical and Ensign Science)
- space for four console modifications (2 Tactical, 1 Engineering, 1 Science).
- carries a crew of 85
- Special Feature: Grappler, which is less efficient than a tractor beam but can hold an enemy for a short time.
With a crew complement of only 85, I'm not sure the grappler and additional tactical console slot will be enough to offset the reduction in repair rate, etc. It's kinda like getting an escort early.
Thanks for all your efforts in making the ship charts. Probably the best STO player ship reference charts to-date. Keep up the great work, dude.
Haha thanks for the info. Actually, I am working on the newest version with the NX on it now. I'll be posting it shortly. The stats listed above are in the official C-store posting (it's appreciated none-the-less), so I was wondering if anyone knows the Impulse Mod, Turn Rate, Inertia, Base Hull? Right now, I'm keeping it the same as the Light Cruiser Starter Vessels, until then.
It's not "kinda" - it is exactly - like getting an early escort. The NX class is even called a "Light Escort" (just as another Lieutenant level ship, the Miranda, is a Light Cruiser).
I haven't gotten in game yet, so I'm only going by what's said on the C-store & Forums... Where is it called "Light Escort"? (P.S. not trying to argue or anything, just want to make sure I have all the right info )

Click on the i button in the ship overview at the top of the HUD; it'll give you info on the player etc. and list their NX as a Light Escort.
I was pretty sure the Galaxy class turn rate is the same for all variants (base, R and X). You have the T4 Exploration Cruiser listed as having a 5 degree/sec turn rate - while I'm not sure what my base turn rate in it is because of skills and whatnot boosting it higher, the computer at Earth Spacedock lists the T4 Exploration Cruiser's base turn rate as 6 degrees/sec.

Fair enough. I hadn't seen it called that by anyone other than the community... Right now, the NX is with the Connie in the 'special ships' row, with 'special starter ships' as the heading. This may change, however, as I've seen several forum discussions that the Oberth may be the next ship as a starter science vessel. If this happens, I'll have to decide on whether to keep the new starter ships together, or separate them via classes... if the latter, I'll definitely be calling the section with the NX in it "Light Escort."
Wanted to say Thank You to Spidermitch for the awesome work he has done on the ship charts.
They are a god send!
I check em out quit a bit to decide what i want for my upcoming alts!
Just wondered what happen to the nausican sneak peek you had on the kdf chart, one day it was there...next it was gone:(
Hey there; thx for the praise! I find myself using the charts as I'm progressing with my alts too!
About the Nausicaan section: Cryptic's posts always had the three alien ships when they were talking about the 'upcoming' ships. They'd say, "Gorn, Orion, & Nausicaan ships" So, along with many others, I thought they were releasing all the non-klingon ships together... I certainly didn't expect two non-klingon ships & a Klingon Bird of Prey (B'rel Retro).
Anywho, I had to remove the Nausicaan section for the time being. When they get ready to release the Nausicaan Raider, I'll figure out where to stick
this looks awasome but have 1 Question? ok maybe more then one!:)
On the Fed Chart is shows Photons with 50% -20 crew with 6 sec cool down and the Q-torp with only 10% -10 crew with 8 sec cool down is this right am i reading this wrong? Just for giggles with that info why would any one want a Qtorp over the photon?
So am i reading it wrong you get 50% chance to kill 20 crew and the more powerfull Q-torp you only have 10% chance in killing 10 crew! Please help me understand this cuz i might just switch to all photons!

it's up to the player on which they want: photons (reasonable power, 6 sec cooldown, 50% chance for -20 crew) or quantums (more power than photons, 8 sec cooldown, 10% chance for -10 crew)
it's a tradeoff, but it depends on what the player wants before they choose photons, quantums, or both
Two minor things regarding the chart:
* The Federation Dreadnought is listed with "Spinal Phaser Lance" instead of "Phaser Spinal Lance."
* The Klingon general ranks are still using the old format instead of the pips in boxes similar to the Federation

It is my understanding that they have a 50% chance of killing 20 crew and 10% chance to kill 10 crew, for both photon and quantum torpedos.
Not really sure if it getting it's own name now but I was in the ship customizer and also had up the ship chart, the "Celestial Retrofit" is listed as "Monarch" now in game.
Also I noticed while my Galaxy didn't automatically change when I go to the ship customizer it has been updated with the colored pennant/symbol on the nacelles and under the hull.
Hey everyone! Just got back from Christmas travels. Hopefully, I'll make some time before the new year to update the KDF chart with the new Nausicaan ship. I'm also thinking about doing something with the ship set bonus items on the FED side, but that may have to wait until after the Vulcan ship hits it.
I see a few people posted some minor issues with the charts; I'll be working on those within the next few versions
Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for hanging in there with me: giving corrections, support, & praise. It's really been a fun year and I'm hoping to continue with these charts into 2011. Have a happy holiday season & be safe!
Transphasic Torpedos got an additional 20% bleedthrough. Means they do 30% damage directly to hull when using another shield than a resilient one. When using a resilient shield array, 25% would directly go to the hull.
Thx to everyone that voted for my ship in the design the enterprise contest. For those interested, here is a HQ version of my entry. I probably won't win, but I enjoyed working on this. While it may not be the most unusual, I've tried to maintain the 'Trek' feel. A cross between Galaxy, Sovereign, Ambassador, with pylons resembling the Enterprise J, and new-style Enterprise nacelles. I would definitely love to fly this ship in-game. It's a stream-lined sleek version with a throwback to the original and future ships to bare the name Enterprise.
Wait, just checking, but where'd you hear that the Vesta was being worked in? Just wondering, I love that ship.
Daniel Stahl put on the forum in an Engineering report. Look down in the Design Discussions sections. It states "Oberth, Vesta, Ambassador, and Future Enterprise ships." (Link to EngReport Nov10th)
I generally only put stuff in the 'In-development from Cryptic" section when a Dev says it, even though I know sometimes they may say something that may not come to fruition (the Ent-J springs to mind). I just like adding the name up there on the Original Post to remind me of what may be coming down the line, or what I see Cryptic mentioning & it adds as a little teaser...
great work as usual spidermitch i just wonder where the december engineering report is, since they promised it soon (and that way, you could update your charts better because of the updated info )
and this may seem random (actually, it is), but does anyone know if the STO forums have a character limit? i'm curious

ROFL!! I do as well.
These charts is simply awesome! What more can be said? Thank you!
there is stil no chart update so i think you dont do it enymore?
Wow!! Seriously?
Well you should know the old sayin', 'If you want something done and done now, do it yourself.'

I recently found out that the NX Class Enterprise Replica "Light Cruiser" ship adds +5 to Weapons Power.
The other "starter ships" (Light Cruisers, including the Connie) still give no power bonus.

Good find man! I'll look at adding the info into the next version. But for now... Gotta go raid some Fed transports!
