Oh and i am going to hijack Cygnus thread and activerly advertise my referrals here, since he without knowing it has trespassed into my turf with his damn referrals.
I have some referral keys, and um.... I'll mail you a pack of hotdogs (Armor Hotdogs) if you use my key and buy the game. Ok, i"ll give away a Heart of Targ too. YUM!
I have more than enough energy credits to hand out 1 mil creds if i wanted to.
But i don't out of principle, because i see it as Bribery, and thats just low.
I figure that if they don't want to play the game, they won't be on these forums for one, and that if they don't want the 2 million credits for the referral, they don't need to take it.
I sure hope that the EC incentive isn't actually the *reason* people are buying the game to play. Now that would be wrong. That aside, if they have something to help them get started in an inflated market, so be it. Granted, it's not *as* bad as it used to be, but it's still outrageously high compared to what it really should be, and a couple million should get you through all but the very end-game in terms of outfitting your ship and crew with mid-high tier items.

So, we are just a den of theves, bribing the poor innocents into the game? Hmmm.....
"You can almost seethe UnderBirth through his eyes" , , , Wait, that was "Tales of Riddick" . . .

You see it as bribery? I see it as a "Thank You" for using my key. One hand washes the other.
If anyone wants to use a refer a friend key (must be a new player who has not played sto before) to try startrek online PM me your email address also as a gift for using the referal key I will donate to your character 2.5 mil energy credits to your character when you create it (PM me to meet on my ship to recive the credits) to start off with and if you also do resub I will give an extra 2.5mil for resubing so a total of 5mil credits when resubbed.
I know I resurected an old thread but better then re creating one. Its just I had one friend who joined and subbed before the refer a friend program and been trying to get some of my friends to join and no one else wants to and I would like to try and get the Holographic Bridge Officer.

YOU KEEP WHAT YOU KILL
Per the Dev post in this very thread, you are not supposed to make your referral keys public. You should remove the keys from your signature.

It seems the person who wrote the forum rules didnt know what they were talking about.
If a thread has been closed for more than 30 days and you have 'new' information regarding an issue, a new thread is what you should be doing.
*bonks the thread with a shovel* Burying in the back yard!
