Stuck at "Retrieving list of characters".

cant load my character list.

    yo same problem here! i was playing and got the "sever error" message. but the game would kick me back to the log in page like normal so i closed the game and restarted and it's now stuck at the retrieving list o0f characters

    I was stuck.Then i got in. Did two exploration missions. Screen started to load and got message "server not responding", so i quit the program.Now im stuck at this message again :)

    Set your phasers on "Stuck"

    Not that I have anything to add, but I am having the same problem. I am hoping if they see this enough they will respond or fix the issue.

    I was in the game and wrote a Log entry. It didn't actually show the completed entry when it was saved. I then beamed to my ship from Starbase One, and it locked up on the loading screen. After about fifteen minutes the screen closed itself and the brief 'prepatch download' launcher opened then closed. Going back in through the (regular) launcher I had the same 'Updating List of Characters' error.

    In my potentially ignorant opinion, it seems like the core issue is one of reading from and writing to the database.

    same here, i get stuck when it loads my character list.

    Maybe, but i wanna play now, not in an hour or 2 when it "eventually go through" :p

    /edit: maybe related, been having some massive "rubberbanding" ever since S1 patch aswell..

    was stuck, finally got in started a mission only to hang in a load screen with Server not responding. Now stuck again.

    Grrr.. it's the damm assimilated Tribbles I tell ya, they adapted :o

    I played a little about two hours ago, and had no issues. I logged-out and came back about 20 minutes ago.
    And I'm stuck at the 'Retrieving list of characters' window...

    Aye, the 4 of us are all locked out too. Guess we'll need to scrub it until tomorrow by the looks of things.

    Same - came here to see if the servers were up and the site says UP.
