A T6 Olympic with the correct skin would be very nice as well as a T6 Saber
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

We've had ship classes renamed in the past too. BEFORE we had Fleet quality ships, we had the Advanced Escort (Prometheus) and the Fleet Escort. Then the Fleet Starbase came out with Fleet quality ships. The Fleet Escort got renamed to Patrol Escort to not confuse players, and also to not have a Fleet Fleet Escort.
Another example of a rename is the old Avenger class Star Cruiser being renamed to Sentinel because of the release of the Avenger Battlecruiser.
The most recent class renaming was in ViL. The Crossfield class was called the "Science Vanguard" then got changed in ViL to "Science Spearhead".

I don't deny that its canon. I just honestly don't see them spending any money or development time on the K'Vort. Not only that... its a Bird of Prey Battlecruiser. How do you work that stat wise? Heavy tac and Universal seating on a battlecruiser? Kinda OP. And then there might be the occasional code issue with two different ships using the same model but one with wings that don't animate. While we do have different ships that share models (T5 vs T6), I don't know of any where one animates and the other doesn't. With how spegetti like the code is... it might muck up something with the B'rel, and vice versa.
Now if they could alter the model to make it look more cruiser like... I'd be all for it. But the fact that it is literally a 1:1 copy of the B'rel other than size and locked wings... seems a bit tricky to me.

Sounds like easy money for Cryptic if that's all they have to do.
Its not that simple though. Bigger model means new textures to fit the size. The smaller textures would show they don't fit.
Then we have stats and consoles and BOffs...
In short... just a straight copy/paste would make a very OP battlecruiser.

Ha'nom, Ha'Feh, Nova, Hegh'ta, Ch'Tang/Kitang, HoHsus, Norgh/Ning'tao, Voquv, Kar'fi, Kamarag, Suqob, Puyjaq. I'd like to see all of these get brought up to T6.
I was watching The Orville again, last night. What a delight, in terms of ship designs! (Both Union and alien). All *we* seem to get these days, are 'just another saucer' ships. Make something imaginative, Cryptic!

Starfleet ship design revolves around the saucer design in some form or another, dating back to the original Connie.

Really? Because the Orville looks like it was designed by eldritch abominations using the sort of geometry that drive men mad to me.

I'd like to see a modified Intrepid class ship that's configured like a destroyer, rather than science ship. Same for the Akira, set up as a destroyer rather than a carrier.

I think that profile would suit the Nova class better (not that it's going to happen - just saying).
Oh, I know other ships are available that fit that functionality. I just like the Intrepid and Akira class ships and wish I could use them.
What I really wish is that the ship tailor were much more build-a-ship. You pay for a class, then configure boff seating, console layout, and such as you want. Shield modifiers, weapon configuration (5/2 or 3, 3/3, 4/4), hull, turn rate, etc. are tied to class. Also, provide TAC/SCI/ENG variants like they have for Odyssey. So you get a shell that you customize.

Bad idea. VERY bad idea. We'd have even WORSE power creep from player made setups in that system than we have now.
We'd have DPS numbers that make the highest ones we get now look like a T1 ship!
In short... you give players the ability to customize every aspect of a ship... you will have GOD ships in two seconds. And you can bury the rotting corpse of PvP even farther down because unless you too have a God Ship, you're nothing more than a target that vaporizes the milisecond someone looks at you rather than the second they look at you now. And STFs? Can you say 10 second Infected run?

Well, I wasn't suggesting a free for all. Of course, there would have to be limits on the what you could do. But, there isn't any reason why one could not have a ship that looks like an Intrepid that had the same setup as say the T6 Breen Chel Boalg ship. Or a ship that looks like the Nova, but has the same setup as the T6 Verne Temporal Science ship.

Or a T1 Connie with the setup of a Vengeance.
It would greatly cut into their profits, which in turn would affect the quality and quantity of new content.

it would be the end of the game. why buy any other ship if you can configure your Defiant as a science escort from hell?

I know. But as a fave Captain of mine once said about his own boat, "Try and see past what she is, and onto what she can be."
