Oh, and why don't we try a PvP duel on Tribble one of these days. Just so that you can prove how bad "players like me" really are?
Undertake a tiny bit of effort for STO and sign up for DPS diamond. I might accept your PvP challenge in there.
[...]
I don't understand. Does this mean you are afraid to space-duel with me unless I make a useless PvE build for it? Well, that sais everything, doesn't it.
Yes you don’t understand. I mean, get into DPS Diamond first! Then you may use every build you desire to smash me to pieces and I acknowledge you to be a good player afterwards.
I’m sorry, until then you are the crybaby you have been around here the past few months in my eyes and I don’t see any reason to dedicate my online time to you.
I’m neither afraid of a bloody nose in PvP nor to acknowledge others being better than me. There are enough in game that are. In your case it just needs to be worth my time, hence my offer.

Here's a question regarding the retooling of players abilities "NPC'S" that use the same abilities will we also see their power reduced with the incoming changes ?.
I ask because the few times they have altered abilities in the past which are shared, NPC's kinda almost got a god mode version of it. Examples are Emergency power to Engines added to Borg Spheres, Tachyon Beam which wipes shields, Hypersonic Radiation which is a death sentence if you're not kitted in radiation res or able to out heal it.
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

So far, from the Tribble tests performed, none of that seems to be an issue.
EDIT: Even w/ these changes, expect more powerCreep to come. Some players will still want (and 'need') Elite versions of the Borg Maps + CCA.
Why are people complaining about the buff to miracle worker? People said it was underperforming, so cryptic buffed it, and people still complain. The buff wasn't even a small one either. My miracle worker used to Heal around 40k hull and now it heals close to 180k hull. [...]
180k hull? What did you do, put every single piece of gear into hull restoration, neglecting resistances and everything else?
Uhh no. Unless having 68% resistances standing still and 150% hull regen in combat is "neglecting" to you. It's called a healer.
Edit: I can show you my build in case you don't believe me.

Edit: also, the fleet temporal cruiser is probably a better healer than the science command cruiser. I just like switching up what ship I fly a lot. From the command cruisers to the fleet t6 galaxy, to even the old recluse.
Also, here's a picture of a fully buffed miracle worker on my engineer on tribble currently. Pretty crazy healing even by my standards lol. Of course I can only keep it that high for a few seconds.
i see that build is using secret command codes; i use that on a ship that also uses OSS because the subsystem offline at the end of the effect triggers it - and now that the offline can't be cleansed, that +damage resist is going to be very welcome on characters that continue to use it if your shields happen to end up being the thing that go offline

I am wondering honestly if this shift to making defensive/tanking and healing more appealing, and valuable will have an effect on content. Will we keep seeing more content that makes damage output less valuable than prior content, or even a revamp to the existing content to make the changes to the effective value of tanking an healing playstyles overall more appealing to use in content than just strictly dps.
I like the changes to engineering overall. THough I do wish they would have taken eps abit further, and maybe made it comparable to apa, kinda like how overload deflector is for science. Like that during the duration of eps transfer the bonus you gain from your sub=system power levels is increased making it somewhat like a engineering apa buff, or that based on your power levels in your sub-systems you would gain a veriety of buffs based on each sub-system giving you a much more broad improvement to your ship's performance compared to the more narrow buffs that the other two careers get.

Yup, it's a great trait. It has a great heal over time too. It's great for countering control effects in PvP too.

yeesh, that's...major overkill
for those levels, they ought to make it usable on allies for use on the transport in the (hopefully) returning NWS

Definitely is overkill. I swapped out my enhanced neutroniums for sif generators during the buff. While they give more hull restoration, you lose the damage resistance buff. The hull healed in the miracle worker is like 4x what my ship normally has lol.
* BFAW is getting a major accuracy nerf (I heard like 50%);
* Combat boost project is dead, and you'll wind up having half the resists you had;
* You invested hundreds of million in AHOD, only to see it swindled away by the Devs;
* Temporal cd's are a bust;
* Krenim boffs are a bust;
* Leech is now capped at only +6 power.
This alleged balance-pass is the greatest scam perpetrated on the player base, ever.
I agree 100%. My entire build that I spent over 3500 hours of time and money on perfecting is now getting nerfed. They want to bring everyone down to the level of the casual player. STO is done. Put a fork in it.
Let me get this straight - you're proud that you spent 3500 hours on one build... and can't adapt to change?
Something's done, but it ain't STO.
Probably about half as many hours as you've spent posting on the forums. And that wasn't all on one build, obviously. "Change" is one way of explaining an entire overhaul of the game.
Do you experts see major changes on which reputation space gear will be most in favor? I've been playing for about 4 months and working towards getting the Iconian space set since most builds seems to favor that. Just wondering if I should start thinking ahead and cranking different reputation marks while the Breach event is going on.

The iconian set is certainly major nerfed with the hot restart lockout.
As much as I like, and appreciate the changes to the carrier pets, and carrier commands, it would be nice to have some variety in the faction linked carrier/hanger-pets. I like to match my main ship's weapon/energy types with m hanger pets, but right now you are really restricted in being able to match your main ship's weapon/energy type an your hanger-pet's weapon/energy types.
An so I would not mind seeing the devs release more faction pets, which have a wider variety weapon/energy types you can choose from. So having the standard fed pets that have phaser and photon/quantum weapons, but than you might have similarly ones that have disruptors or tetryon too for more variety in choice. This could serve as another form of ec/dill sink in the game, which can be good if kept within reason in price.

Damage buffs have been left intact though and I think that alone keeps them as a top contender.

Additionally, now only one "Iconian set buff" will buff the group. So, if you want to be that guy, go for it. I'm probably going to switch, since most players will still keep the Iconian Set. I'll just leech off their team boost.
I do believe that AHOD is a C-Store Ship Trait and not Lockbox Ship Trait. It is a waste of $35 USD rather than millions of EC.
So, "Player investment retains value" was just a bold-face lie then. Amirite!?
Leech, from what I hear, only has the Self-Buff limited to +6. The enemy still has the same Drain Hit as they did before.
Who cares about how much you drain a NPC!? Leech has always been about, you know, leeching power.
And, honestly, +6 is not bad as that is +6 per Subsystem, so an effective +24 Power.
On my Rom, starting with -40, +6 per subsystem is a joke. And, it's effectively +6, as 'vertical' is really the only meaningful measure.
I agree with most of this... AOD nerf doesn't matter cause its c-store so affordable and doesn't matter? Nerf to leech is definitely a really huge nerf for romulans who suffer low subsystem power.

What they want, is to reset our spending cycle. All, from the lips of Spartan himself, with malice aforethought. Having us spend money on the power creep, then -- very deliberately -- invalidate our stuff afterwards, so they can start selling power creep to us again. I should have seen the cycle coming when Bort killed Intel.
Why, I drafted many a post about Spartan et al., all of which would get me perma-banned instantly, I can assure you. Instead, I've simply decided not to give them any more of my money. They have swindled me for the last time. 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.' and all that.

...again I find myself agreeing with you. I have also decided not to spend money on this game anymore. So they probably don't see me as a player they give two poops about.

I couldn't care less about losing the $35 (although I care about that a bit); but seeing my Tact Captain's abilities cd reduction invalidated is a major thing, of course. On my Engineer main, yeah, I can use MW a few times less, yawn. But on my Tact, yeah, AHOD nerf is biggie.

Ok, let me log in to the skill planner and get it. I'm always happy to show off my healer build. Not many people play as a healer sadly.
he posted a build at the bottom of his opening post in this thread; i don't know if it's his PERSONAL one, but it's still a healer build nonetheless
