Every time you say "T6 Connie" in any way, Paramount gets another dollar to kill your fandom with.

I hope so, because ever since May 6th, I've can't help but have a big grin on my face every time I come to the forums.

You didn't have a grin prior? That's not how I pictured things in my head.

So tribble has a randomly spawning NPC on ESD wearing the JJ certain of the TOS uniform, with the name 0718.

There are other threads discussing the possibility of JJ content being added, but hypothetically if a T6 JJ-prise was added, how likely do you think it would be that such a ship would also have TOS, Refit, and Excalibur kitbash options?

You think this can be kitbashed? I know we are actually talking about the Excalibur/Exeter here, but they aren't that much larger than the TOS Connie, which means that a kitbash with JJprise parts will look... I'll be tactful and say odd.

An even better source. The film itself. Scale a person from the bridge window and you get a ship slightly longer than the refit Conni. There is only one scene where it is scaled out of all proportion and that's the shuttle scene.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

It's so weird, since it's obviously scaled from the exterior to be the same basic size.

If only that was the creator's intention.

And a boneheaded creator decision it was. It'd still get merked by anything in the 24th century. Except in a race.

True. Every bridge scene refutes the official numbers.

There's two big hurdles to overcome other than size mismatch (which might nix the idea on the spot...). First a new AR Enterprise might not be built on the same rig - it's quite similar, but the placement of the pylons might be incompatible with the current rig.

Second there's the very real possibility that Paramount would not want to see their version's image adulterated or altered in any way. They might be ok with it, but often licensed "guest" characters are locked tight even in games with rich character editors. Being able to play as it wouldn't automatically mean being able to break it down for parts.

At what point did I mention shuttle bays? I spent a few seconds on google to find a size comparison image and it came up with that one.

Even if that is accurate, it could easily be done with a little scaling, it's not like we don't already have ships that are the wrong size ...

Yeah. The bridge, windows, torpedo launchers, and deck layout says around 300 meters. The shuttle bay says, 725m.

Yes, it is, because the model maker MADE A MISTAKE in assuming it would be the same size as the prime universe version and then was told otherwise too late to completely re-skin it.
And a boneheaded creator decision it was.

Call it what you like. The people that rule canon put the decision into the author's hands.

I'm not against it - I looked on google, found that ex adastra aspera or whatever it is site and they said that image is what is featured with the blu-ray. I'm not motivated to check any deeper than that really, if it said they were near enough the same size I'd support kitbashing...
