I got on for a few then locked up in-game. Closed the game out and the launcher's trying to patch a new version.
Fingers crossed that this takes care of the issues for all of us.
We all do wish you the best, however, until the issue is addressed none of us can expect to be able to log in and fully enjoy the game without any issues. For most, getting past the launcher would be something. The fact you have done that is impressive. I just hope this is something we can do very soon as wel.
as of this posting, for the current login into the game: 30 minutes for launcher to load, 5 minute for the engage to pop up, 5 minutes for the character selection screen to open, then disconnect. then relogin and 2 minutes from char select to actual game. then hit with a roughly 210 second Server Not Responding, 3 seconds free, 10 second SNR, 30 sec free, 20 sec SNR, 3 sec free, and now a 70+sec SNR
I got on for a few then locked up in-game. Closed the game out and the launcher's trying to patch a new version.

Well, if the Launcher re-started and is patching, it just means they've enabled pre-patching for the upcoming Season 10 update release. The Launcher issues ALL Cryptic games are occasionally experiencing (where you just get a blank/black Launcher window with "Loading Please Wait") doesn't have anything to do with the actual Champions Online/Star Trek Online/Neverwinter server/client code as you're not even getting to the point where the game client is actually launching itself.
Given that they just launched Neverwinter for the XBox console; I am starting to wonder if the Cryptic Patch Servers occasionally get into a state where they are unable to identify what type of device you're connecting with (IE an XBox console or a PC); and as a result, don't know how to further proceed and as a result just hang.

So far, there is nothing from Cryptic acknowledging this issue. Instead, what we have been recieving are news and content updates. Which, aren't useful to those of us that can't even log in. Best guess, hopefully they completely remove the patch that created all these issues on the next patch day. Then again, they haven't fixed any known issues for quite some time now.

Okay, so I moved to a Diff computer, and it started up the game fine. But i go to play and i get a couple SNR's and a weird graphics issue. Thanks
Edit: uninstalled STO and Reinstalled it. took 15 attempts to load launcher
Anyone else getting tired of this...support told me to cycle my router, they also told me it's my network, if I have no network how am I posting on the forum's complaining about server issues.

The servers that they have can't handle the load of players they're trying to accommodate...if they had more then one server this might not be an issue.

Now 3 disconnections in the last 20 minutes.

mind you, thats about normal.
what the heck is the 6867mb patch I have , that only tries to patch after I log out?
The entire last week, I've had;
wait to check for patch,
wait to login
wait to go to character screen
wait to load first character picture
wait to change to one I want
wait for picture
try to enter game
So, I'm not usually one to complain (cos I usually cause my own problems), but last night after logging out, the launcher did it's pre-patch as advertised.
Loaded it up an hour ago to try and get in game to DOFF, do my dailies and such, but *poof* launcher lets me click "Engage" and......it's like Sulu in Star Trek 2009....no warp speed...
.................before you ask, the parking break is not on........

Some of the tracerts show an xbox patch server, good theory.
I am trying the Steam download now, it seems to be pulling the patches ok off the servers.
Do you have a web link for Steam? I see a lot of listings, which one are you referring to?
just got in game after 3.5 hours of trying...played 30 minutes,,,SNR, DCd, and now "please wait" again.
where is the official response that someone is looking at the login server???
