These dudes are seriously delusional. Then by their logic, ALL ATTEMPTS AT LEVELING OUTSIDE DQ IS EXPLOITATIVE, UP TO AND INCLUDING ALL LEGITIMATE MISSIONS, PvE, AND STF'S

Explain the logic please. I will sit here and wait.

    Logic...is irrelevant...resistance is futile....

It's far more likely that folks will Just Stop Playing.

I think that Cryptic has finally found Their way to create Their own N.G.E.

It's not surprising to me that They have announced a Dilithium Bonus Weekend and a Lobi Give-a-way for this weekend.

They are trying to stem the exodus of Their player numbers from this past week.

    <shrug>.

    Doom-Doom DOOOOOOOOMMMM !!!

^^ Yeah .... so I do get a kick out of the Doommmm crew eating their own cooking . :P

But OTOTH , I also enjoy the irony that in TOR (the game D'Angelo does not want to compare STO to , but does everything to make STO look & sound like) -- well "the Quarantine" was actually an event in TOR ... .

And it's the same in STO .... .
Well , almost the same ...

Heh.. yeah, ahhh about that..., I love my cooking.

BTW: I occasionally visit the DOOM thread, I don't actually live there. :P

My recent posts are solely based on my observations of playing the game for the last 4.5 years on a somewhat daily basis.

There's no intention on my part to predict anything other than the current actions of the Dev's, as being 'non-productive' toward the general overall feeling of FUN the game has and appears to be slowly losing.

Don't log in to the game! It's considered an exploit now. You'll have to gain your xp and crafting the old fashioned way: with dice and paper.

well not even going to bother leveling my alts then TRIBBLE it i am not grinding just to play the content

this group up and run patrols was how we got to 60 on tribble when it was being tested so how is it an exploit now that it;s on holodeck

See that's the rub... It's Star Trek.

So for me at least, just being able to captain the ships I love, is probably enough to keep me playing.

I sometimes just log in to DOff grind and fly my Connie around battling Klingons in sector encounters.

As long as I can imagine I'm a Trek Captain flying around the galaxy in-game, I will be here.

But..., I probably won't spend as much money as I use to.

Whatever detracts a player from the mindless grind of DR, PWE/Cryptic must nerf. Even if it's totally legit AND encouraged.

And as far as the superior tech upgrade loot drops being too high... well, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CLOSE OFF TRIBBLE TO F2PERS AND DONT LISTEN TO THE BUG REPORTS.

    NOT OUR (PLAYERS) PROBLEM.
Still waiting on their explanation of their logic...
WELL IF THE JAPORI INCIDENT HAS TAUGHT ME ANYTHING, IT'S THAT MY EXISTENCE IS AN EXPLOIT. THANKS CRYPTIC.

And, if you skipped a bunch to have some decent exp handy when DR hit; capped at 900 for first run.

Why would anyone get upset by that. Go grind the new delta patrols. Better everything anyway.

There is no exploit in 5 people grouping up to do patrol missions... its the way the built them. So I really don't get what they are upset about. Likely they put it back up... unless a small handful had found some bug that was giving them more then they should have been getting or something.

Maybe its just me, but every patrol I remember doing in the DQ was on a ridiculously laggy map. And that was solo.

And now I'm picturing D'angelo in his office, bashing plastic starships into each other as he says this. Then Smirk comes in to ask him about something....

    "DID YOU SEE ANYTHING?!"

"No sir! I didn't see you playing with your dolls again!"

    LOL.... so who's President Scroob?

I'm not sure but I think the issue is with the elite runs of the tau dewa stuff, just went to do some empire defense missions just to compare, and the ships there even in the kahless expanse have significantly more HP and take a lot longer to kill(solo at least), still if that was the issue then COMMUNICATE THAT, "due to a bug in game design npcs in tau dewa patrols have significantly less HP then intended, a fix is on the way". I've found in a lot of MMOs communication with your player base can prevent a lot(not all) of the grief, not that cryptic cares whether their players are happy or not.

Okay, I'm unhappy on behalf of those of you who liked doing this - have fun your own way, I say, as long as it's not ruining anyone else's - but really, why is running the same missions over and over in the DQ "grinding", but running the same missions over and over in Tau Dewa isn't? I don't understand the difference.

Tau Dewa Patrol = ~5min hop in shoot lots of enemies on Elite hop out
DQ Patrol = ~30min of zerging giant HP-bags down on Elite
Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.
