Oh TRIBBLE! That means I'm screwed too also have ATI x1200 card. I've been playing for a few years now, have come across the crash while loading before, took them ages to fix. Guess this time won't be any different if I'll ever be able to get in game again. Current error is 34318276
Well I can get onto tribble with no problems but it just crashes every time I try and go onto holodeck so im guessing it's not my card spitting distance of level 60! If I have to wait a week until patch to play it will be annoying. Longer and you have to feel ripped off for that lifetime sub

It must be. Those are my exact settings for my video card. It works on tribble now though. I can't wait until this gets on Holodeck. I have a Scryer ship to buy for my science toon.

Hopefully this the solution to most of our problems. I can confirm that the latest Tribble patch resolves the crash to desktop problem for me. I hope that it works for others as well. If they can make the patch available to Holodeck tomorrow, then that would be perfect. I would like to salvage the remainder of the dilithium and lobi weekend. Good luck to everyone.
Oh dear, I'm so positively going crazy waiting for the new patch to hit Holodeck... And somewhat cautious too, after all, it's not the first time that the problem seems to be resolved on Tribble only to continue affecting Holodeck; On a unrelated note, even if it works, and even if it took actually so few a time to resolve the problem (comparatively speaking), I would have liked to hear some acknowledgement from the dev team.

Sadly it did not work for me however I don't crash at start up I crash when I get into combat. I am running Geforce GTX 780 Ti
Okay folks, let's test the TRIBBLE out of this patch to find errors. So far we got a combat error. Let's see what else we can get. Go around, test stuff. We got til next thursday I suspect. Let's make it work.
I read an article, that stated factory overclocks could be an issue. Do even if you didn't overclock the card, it may still be above its limit..
My card is factory overclocked. its a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 its factory overclocked to 1200 mhz.
I downloaded EVGA Precision. and I underclocked my video processer 200 Mhz. I have not had a problem since. make sure you check the fan speed setting and temp.
I am stetting at 1071 mhz. crash free here, and on battlefield 4 as well
if you have never done this before, look up how to use the software. I would hate to see someone wreck a card.

I'm losing all enthusiasm for playing the game at this rate. As a lifetime subscriber, it's somewhat ironic that I can't log into a game I paid for (not that ANYONE should have to put up with such technical issues, regardless of whether they are a lifer or not).
Perhaps we'll all be able to log in and actually play the game before the end of the year? :mad:

Have you tried Tribble yet? There was a new patch to tribble on Friday and I was finally able to get past the loading screen and play some on Tribble. The patch should go live to the holodeck this next week.
Finally got some drive space available and backed up STO last night, then renamed directory to "playtest" and loaded up Tribble. I'm happy to report that, for my machine and configuration, this patch works.*
* Tested in a swage pit behind an abandoned industrial complex in El Segundo. May not be representative of your results. Test in inconspicuous area before laundering. Your mileage may vary.

no. Nvida and geforce are affected as well.
Now we just need it to be uploaded to the Holodeck.

It fixed it for a short while than I got the same problem again.
