    i dont think you get it...the game is changed...you can still faw down people with the broken mechanic.If you make groups to to 5v5 then you can do that in opvp and make rules or that Tyler Durden channel (is that still around? )

    Edna, look at the allowed ships and mk requirements. For example, you want to build a vanilla escort:
    -mirror ship => 200k ec or free if you or your fleet have one to give
    -mk xi weaponry (4+3)=> less than 500k ec
    -mk xi equip (9x consoles + 4x ship item through def/engine/core/shield) => from 500k to 750k ec
    With a bit more than 1m ec, from 0, you did all the necessary to pew in vpvp. Consider if you stored the old mk xi blue stuff from the beginning or if you have a fleet or ingame friends who can help you giving these things for free... it's not so dramatic... ;)

    Essentially sound but your costs are out, VPvP has indirectly spiked Mk X purple kit on the exchange.

    No, they know VPvP contains very rich PvPers who will spend, and wont mind because they are spending fractions of what normally would only buy a single Doff for an entire build... :D

    You're right, but despite this, what i mean is that you can spend a little amount of EC to set an entire vessel for vpvp and be competitive;)

    Okay, after going through the seven stages of loss concerning normal PvP, I'm here to give vanilla PvP a try.

    Gustavo Fring@fatman592 is the toon I've set up, I think it meets spec, let me know if it doesn't.

    Just FYI, since the first post says "if the old stf Borg gear existed in mark x" well it does, I have a pair of the old photon torps mark x. I don't know how many others are still in existence though.

    While you are there, could you up my cost estimate by a mil? I want it to be a significant over-estimate of costs for a safety gap, and a build cost now is a little too close to 3 mil for my liking. (just upped my KDF-Rom to VPvP spec, cost 2.7 mil before ship...)

    Fyi, mirror hanam is a sci rommy ship. Not if it'still a good idea to let in a bcing sci ship though.

    Regarding rule Input:

    1. May want to clarify MKXI storyline items more:

    a. Should multi-proc weapons be allowed?

    b. Some partial set items are base (Reman shield), but others have unique stats.

    ie, limit storyline options to non-unique abilities, or allow some unique abilities (pengs)?

    2. KDF efficient boffs (don't know the spelling something like Letheans), I've assumed to be allowed, but not stated.

    3. I don't recall it being stated, but I've assumed no doff mission reward boosts in case it's not already stated?

    Vanilla is the buzz word around the starbases of the 44th Fleet and the 44th Assault Squadron. I have 3 toons ready or near ready for vanilla and several others in the 44th are also gearing up. So, let's pour on some hot fudge and let's have a sundae.

    Is anyone else noticing more 'total newbies' to VPvP yet? I've personally only run into one person so far.

    Are we talking with PvP Bootcamp? Are they still around? Certainly they could benefit from using this rule-set too.

    Is it possible Cryptic has finally scared off all new PvP'rs with the Xindi Lock Box?

    Do we need to start going to Ker'rat and advertising?
