Expansion 2: Delta Rising

Old ships will not be obsolete.

Coming October

EDIT: Level 50 to 60 and story based content confirmed.

Mark MK XII and MK XIV confirmed.

New methods of captain advancement via specialization trees.

Many new races to encounter.

Tier 6 ships introducing new class of starships and new class of boffs.

Voyager interior (I'm told the option with or without Neelix's kitchen.)

Better intrepid model

Exploration

Homeworld of a rarely seen species.

Many new ships for all factions.

New ships having new powers.

There were new concepts of new world art.

Tim Russ will return as Tuvok. Several more Voyager cast will be joining. Garret Wang the next confirmed actor reprising his role as Harry Kim.

Harry Kim will be captain of the Rhode Island.

Talaxians and Ocampans will be allies, unsure if they will be playable right now.

Q&A:

Q&A: doffs through Gateway? Revamp allows that. Dev time for that not scheduled, but is possible.

Q&A: generic boffs on bridges. Geko wasn't aware, thanks for bringing that up

Q&A: science ships not competitive, especially when not in fleet. Crafting is for that. New tac heavy Sci ships coming

Q&A: more underrepresented Alpha quad species? "Trek is so huge, right now focusing on Delta Quadrant." only small section of that even

Q&A: Achilles Class? "interested in blazing our own trail." mostly sticking to STO designs for non canon ships

Q&A: Not raising existing rep caps, but adding new rep tracks

Q&A: Kzinti? No, don't think they'll ever get access to that.

Q&A: Only have partial access to Animated Series material

    I admit I'd pay money for the Warship Voyager.
    My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    T6 ships as well.

    I believe it. And I was voted down repeatedly, after saying that Cryptic WILL announce a level cap increase and T6 ships at STLV. Turns out, I was proven right.

    Hopefully this means Romulan will get access to allied T5 ships.
    It's gonna be hard to stay competitive against Tier 6 ships in a Tier 4.5.

    im very curious to see what'll happen with my lockbox/lobi ships, MK XII MACO, MK XII FLEET, and what else i have spend a lot of money on over the years :confused:

    If they make my current endgame ships useless in a fight then I may quit the game. I have spent a lot of money on my ships. Though it would be just like Craptic to pull something like that.

    I think I would have preferred a system of promoting a BO to captain and having them assist you in a customised ship to T6 ships as it would give more of an impression of being in command of a fleet and wouldn't render the ships my captains are flying potentially obsolete. I'll wait until I see how it's implemented before I judge it though.

    Free upgrades? Not gonna happen (Cryptic needs to gouge us for more money). But possibly a discounted upgrade, which I hope includes the ability to upgrade our existing T5 ships.

    Heh. Guess I'm happy that I blew 40 bucks on opening lock boxes yesterday instead of buying a ship. Should be interesting how they handle the store ships with T6 ships coming.

    The only ships that are likely to get a 100% free upgrade are lockbox ships.

    At best Cstore and Fleet ships will be able to be upgraded for a 'discount' compared to a new purchase. And even if that happens it will likely be limited in scope.

    I base this on previous ship tier increases (fleet tier 5.5 quality release) and the recent fleet patrol escort re-release.

    On the plus side secondary deflectors might finally see the light of day.

    Heh, come on. If they auto-upgrade our C-Store ships how is Cryptic going to make money off the new expansion? Wait for it, I predict some kind of Legacy of Romulus-style pack where $199 nets you x-amount of T6 ships and/or faction-based new ships.

    I suspect that the gear/ships will be upgraded through the crafting system. I just hope that for the love of god it wont take really high school levels or have random elements.

    Guys lets just cool down a moment...

    I see people already complaining without knowing the details.

    However, I'd like to have my T5 ships upgraded. For free. Same goes for C-Store.

    I think they are going to see a drop in ship sales if that is indeed the case... One thing is for sure... I won't be buying any new ships untill I can upgrade the ones I have for free.
