Yay to PM's about this thread that I knew existed already lol.
The reason this thread isn't locked down, deleted or what not is because, as I've stated multiple times, IF a situation changes with anything on the FCT it would be allowed to be discussed again. Obviously they finally added a lighter version of the dev party nullifier item which changes the situation.
For the time being you are more than welcome to discuss the nullifier and it's effect on the economy, STO and what not however do remember we have rules that if people break will result in warnings or me just flat out saying "Okay this is back in the FCT".

Wow, I've never scene so much debate, division, and whining over a frackin' option. It's an OPTION people. You want to buy it, fine. You don't like, invite only your friends to your local hangout spot and fire up you disco ball.
How the Devs see Star Trek, apparently:
Star Trek: The Original Grind
Star Trek: The Next Grind
Star Trek: Deep Space Grind
Star Trek: Voyage to the Grind
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.

Players complain when the Subspace Party Balls were added, complain when they add a Nullifier
NO WONDER THE DEVS DO NOT WANT TO TALK TO THIS COMMUNITY
if a Dev hide for this reason then they should not be in the job of making a product.............
a lot of post like this make me think of every Hek's Kitchen EP where chef think his/hers food is great even though they get feedback its TRIBBLE but Gordon Ramsay will tell them straight up its TRIBBLE even though the chef wants to live in denial
Well... If the Nullifier only affects one person and consumes itself, the ball either needs to just affect one person, or consume one for everyone it affects...
How is that not fair?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

Because the nullifier is only designed to effect one person, the party ball is designed to effect everyone.
It's not myfault ifyoufeel trolledbymyDisco ball...Sorry'boutit.

Hey, I am entirely fine with the nullifier being consumed on use... Seems logical actually.
However...
Item X can affect 20, but eats one...
Item Y can affect 1, and eats one...
There is a serious flaw in that logic... Unless of cause you are suggesting that the nullifier has the same range of affect as the ball does... So if I use it right under the ball, everyone in the same effect radius should also be "nullified".
Edit:
OR, a reasonable compromise: Instead of the balls consuming at a pr-character, make the nullifier a charged device...
Considering the drop in recent Ball use, lets say... 10 - 15 charges, at a slightly higher price than the ball (say 20% increase), then you need to get a new one, and the balls remain as they are now, and the nullifier still only affects the player in question.
The nullifier auto activates (hence consumes itself) upon a ball activation.
All numbers are made up on the spot btw.

Well...
As you can see, theres plenty of room for someone to always complain
And this of cause.
I'm not saying I agree with their decision to communicate poorly (or not at all).
I am saying I understand their reasons why.
They always have.

Would'n it make more sense then, if a ball was consumed for every person it affected (apart from the owner of cause)?
So if there are more people around, than you have balls, then you couldn pop it... If too many moved into it, it would shut off.
That way it would be "balanced" in the manner you speak of?
No, just no.
R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy
Why not? Seems to be the same principal?
What am I missing?
come now they think they have a right to make my character dance
and this always been my thing if they think they have that right then i should have the right to make there character go fall off a cliff
system Lord Baal is dead
How is it the same principle?
It's like apples to lucky charms.

Nonono... nothing of that... This needs to be brought to light.
