    Because apparently someone wants to use him against our mutual friend. There's no telling if he'd stop after that. He could lash out at the Federation, or your homeworld. I intend to try and prevent that.

    this guy would have to figure out just which universe i came from before he could attack my home, and even then he'd have to figure out how to cross universes

    But if our mutual friend gets taken out, whoever took kuntel would have access to everything, including information about our respective realities. And the fact we're working with him, even though we're not on the payroll, might be enough incentive for him to launch attacks.
