*It opens to the view of a wonderful, yet somewhat small, villa in the Sicilian countryside. A group of men and women in stylish clothes drink wine next to a machine, chuckling to each other.*

Well... that was different...
*Does a quick patdown to make sure she's still in one piece*
Woman: Well... kinda easy to see... that and it happens a lot. Every so often, the portal seems to take women through a pedophilic dimension and they lose their bras.
*She shrugs.*
Woman: Happened to me on the way here. I have a spare if you want it.
*She looks around the same size.*

Maybe I should have just taken the Transporter...
*Gestures for her to lead on*
*She takes Jade into the house and produces a bra from seemingly no where, and hands it to her.*
Woman: Bathroom's right there, and the Kaiser and Kaiserin are playing golf. Just go down that hallwya and take a left. You'll meet a caddy that'll take you to them.

Thanks.
*Takes care of the missing article of clothing then comes back out and follows directions*
Caddy, in Sicilian accent: Ah, Principessa, you should the language of the people you're about to marry into. Since you will be ruling them at some point...
*He smiles.*
Caddy: And yes, I can take you to Mr. Von Habsburg.

I'd appreciate it. And... I'm still just a starship Captain.
Caddy: And I'm sure with your experiance, you might make Gand Admiral. At least, an assisstant Gand Admiral.
*He shrugs.*
Caddy: And as my great grand mama once said: Never turn down a promotion. If someone gives it to you, they think you do good with it. It's their fault if you don't!
(and i counter with this saying: "Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship because while you're there, you can make a difference.")
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

I accept a promotion, I'd lose the thing I love. Command of a starship. I heard that Legendary captain James T. Kirk once told Jean-Luc Picard to not let them promote him out of the Captain's Chair, because its in the Chair that you can make a difference.

OOC: What I don't get about that quote is that they make admiral's out to be desk jockeys... that's not really true. They command fleets. And their starships, or battleships. During peace time, they serve like every captain, on a boat, maybe with a little more paper work... but, still in command, and whenit comes to war, making an even bigger difference.

I don't want to fly a desk.
(I'll paraphrase as this is decades later...)
Caddy: Not a desk, Principessa. A rather nice throne. And you would be making an even bigger difference, even during peace. A ruler is very different from a military officer... very similar as well. Now, seeming as you have little to no space tactics training, I would assume the title of Grand Admiral would only be in a... ten percent chance.
*He shrugs.*
Caddy: Either way, you'll be Kaiserin.

I'm no expert on Fleet tactics, but I can hold my own with the Lexington. And I was trained as a Tactical Officer.

(they ARE desk jockeys in star trek...how many times did admiral ross personally fight in any engagement during the dominion war? very few, if any - mostly he was coordinating from starbase 375)

OOC: Which brings more qualms in. Admirals are commanders, they should decide how they lead. From the center, the back, or the front. Most prefer the center, which the 'majority' of admirals seem to be majorly under represented in Starfleet....

(I think Kirk was the only known Admiral to take direct command of a single ship. And... he hated being an Admiral.)
Comments
*Steps through*
*Does a quick patdown to make sure she's still in one piece*
Figures...
*Sees the people*
Hello.
Woman: Bra missing?
*She shrugs.*
Woman: Happened to me on the way here. I have a spare if you want it.

Caddy: And yes, I can take you to Mr. Von Habsburg.
Caddy: To your people. But to me and the Austrians, you are the next Kaiserin. The next ruler of the nation, of the Osterreich. Well... co-ruler.
Helluva promotion... I still kinda can't wrap my brain around that.
*He shrugs.*
Caddy: And as my great grand mama once said: Never turn down a promotion. If someone gives it to you, they think you do good with it. It's their fault if you don't!
*He laughs and the cart starts driving.*

Caddy: Try moving from cadet, to captain, to admiral, to king, to dictator, to caddy in a span of a decade....
*He drives silently.*
Uh... Ensign to Captain in a year?
*Blinks again*
