Well...I'll start off with a positive.
The Winter Event is so much better and worth the time.
The Summer Event leaves me longing for the return of frigid temperatures.
The Powerboard Race is a great addition...if it ran on the Winter Event's Fast and the Flurrious schedule.
Also, there is such a performance gap between the boards that I am left to wonder...why?
There were Ice Boots that we could get during the WE but they weren't OP like the 1000LF boards are now.
The Tags reward...just increase it to 12/8/6/4 OR hold the race 4 times an hour.
The Floaters can be alot more fun than just using it for running 1 daily with it.
Same with the holographic gates.
Can't they be used for extra LF's or something?

Unless the changes are made, Summer Event 2014 is a big disappointment.

One can do 3 runs unless one have floaters with higher speed.
So if one can get 150 to 200 each hunt if one have enough alts.
Still not worth it for clothing only wearable on Risa, and to get it up to 200 each hunt one do need to get the floaters first. :P
Erm.. i can trade my favors from one character to another through my bank account and i dont have any problem at all.. and you can sell em on the exchange.. usually account bound things are always able to be sold in the exchange
About the runs, you can 2 at most. Only if you have a really fast floater its possible to do 3. And for that you already need a lot of favors to buy that floater.... and yup, the big problem is that the swimsuits are only wearable on Risa. Thats the only reason makes em really hyper mega overprized..
15 minutes? you don't even need 10 minutes for flying high, even with a rental floater
Read again. 2 flies, not 1. You can do 2 flies in about 10 minutes. More, its impossible unless you already have a really good floater. Or unless you cheat.. lol.
Wtf you talking about?? im really lost here, seriously.
A player complained that he felt that he couldn't get the ships due to family commitments. Three players stepped in to try to get the player to realize it only took less than ten minutes to do so without realizing that he really can't do it because of family commitments. Venkou, Mr. "How dare you have fun with Cryptic's game", once again jumped to the wrong conclusions and thought these people were "harassing" a player because they thought he was being "anti-Cryptic" when all it was was a simple misunderstanding.
At this point, Venkou's actions are really pissing people off.

Think again I did 3 courses with the rental before it I decided it would be better to call it in I possibly may have even made it to the 4th but it can be done without cheating and if like me you don't want to grind for marks to get a decent floater then a rental will do. Or just the standard floater for 500 favours which I have on my fed and kdf

This is why we can't have nice things, and why we don't have real-world jetpacks yet.
Hey now, there are jetpacks, but they don't even last as long as the Rentals we get for the Summer Event. There are even fairly recent attempts to make them viable... though falling damage in real life is somewhat less forgiving than in STO :P
In the latter reference, I suppose the jetpack being larger than the operator also kind of skews the definition of a jetpack a tad...
[EDIT] Sorry, I suppose that's a bit off of the whole Luxury Cruiser discussion
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

Considering that I did 3 runs with the slow floaters, and can now do those 3 with time to spare for a fourth, I can say with certainty that one can do 3 or 4 runs depending on floater and number of alts.
Good advice though is to start at west side of beach close to resort, go to behind resort, then up on mountain to east, then head north and do them in closest order.
Do NOT go out to island, it will slow you down. :P
Another thing that speed things up is if you do not go down to ground but hover a bit above the horga'hns when picking it up.
Just timed it now, 3 runs with turning in reward and beam back to resort gives me another 5 min for a fourth run(started 1 min in on hunt).
It might actually be possible to do 5 runs if one do not beam back, start exactly at beginning at hunt and log in server do not lag.
A test server is supposed to be used to properly test patches before patching anything....

Well, i must be dumb, because the max runs i can do is 2. And i really do em really fast. I dont waste any time, and yes, as almost everyone i start to the west, close to resort ,and i go to the right. So, i really dont see a way to do 3 runs, but meh, i really dont care anyways.

beam? you can turn in the mission by clicking the "I want to hunt horgahns" button. takes only a second or two.
I beam my alts back to resort to be ready for next hunt. :P
I beam back after the event ends. Do five runs each time with a minute or two to spare (depending on load in lag). When you complete each one just turn in the mission to get the bonus, then change character and once all runs are complete go back and beam them to resort and put them in place for the next run.
Also, DEVS, any chance you can reduce the doff missions for raising birds/monkeys to 20 hour instead of the stupid 24 hour timer? 24 hour timers are a real pain in the backside because you have to run them later and later each day and eventually it's just too late to be worth doing them.

Well the floaters have always made the Horgahn hunt substantially easier. So that's two things.
I'd like a trade in feature as I would've happily bought a yellow or orange floater last year instead of the white one.
I cosign everything you said.
Please just bring dancing and the hunt back to twice an hour. Give us a choice of activities.
And increase the sandcastle rewards so that they could compete for our time.
I gotta admit, these are the two that I wish for most. The TMP connie refit engine room was fantastic, this one is my favorite.
It would be a long room, trailing off into the background (it was a matte painting back there!).
"Rise like Lions after slumber, In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew, Which in sleep had fallen on you-Ye are many they are few"
I got one Superior Floater on my main toon, and Standards on some of my other toons last year, and was able to regularly complete 4x Hunts in 15 minutes. This year, so far, I've increased my Superior Floater count to four (and plan to get a fifth one in the next day or two). So I'm only running one alt with a Standard, and I have now been able to complete 5x Hunts a couple times. It's difficult, and often I fail the last one at the 8th Horga'hn.
If they fix the clock bug (which is stopping the event with one minute to remaining on the timer), and/or if I get that 5th Superior Floater, I'll be able to complete the 5th circuit regularly. Netting me ~250 Favors per hour from the Horga'hn Hunt alone.
For those interested: I start my route directly behind the Resort, scanning Horga'hn up the Eastern coastline (avoiding the one out on the Far-East island) and curving around the top of the main island following the shore. After the 10th Horga'hn, I turn in the mission remotely. If I expect this alt will run the next Hunt, I just leave my alt at the "end" of the route, and at the next Hunt I just do it in reverse order; takes the same time. >shrug<
If I beam back (to do another event, etc), I do it like khamseenair: After the Hunt, but when they're done with their other tasks, I always queue that Alt back behind the Resort so when the Hunt begins, they're in position.

You know, I do the same route from the same starting position. Though when I was reading your post I laughed at myself because I've never considered just leaving them at the end and doing it backwards for the next run... I did the exact same thing last year, I feel so silly for not thinking about just running it in alternating directions hahaha.
