You could make a really good Protoss with the Undine or Voth Armor sets.
i don't know what protoss you've been looking at lately, but it certainly isn't any of the ones i'm familiar with if you think voth armor would make a good facsimilie of one...master chief, yes - protoss, **** no
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"

Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

I posted this elsewhere but it's more appropriate here.
I may come of as nuts for sayin this but...I just thought of a new slider that while it may seem a touch inappropriate bear with me here.
There should probably be a cleavage slider. I'm serious, because as we all know the TRIBBLE in this game are...less than realistic. Aside from the preternatural perkiness/general shape, there's also the fact that in a Starfleet open shirt uniform, females will have no cleavage at all, which also looks unnatural.
The slider would essentially be how full or close togetehr the intermammary cleft would be. Some TRIBBLE are far apart, others are quite close, some are a little lower, some higher.
I don't know, maybe I'm nuts, but it popped into my head.
I mean we're talking about the difference between Beyonce and Kate Hudson (back in the day), to Halle Berry, to Kat Dennings and Christina Hendricks.
Top of my list are "Muscle Definition" and "Muscle Mass" sliders.
Let people be able to create any body type they want from skinny and undefined on up to totally ripped bodybuilder. I'm sure this will be even more in demand considering that the new Summer Event is supposed to include Wet Suits and Swim Trunks for male characters this year.
I'd also like to see the Min/Max on the Neck Length slider for ALIENS increased on both ends. Kinda hard to make a Giraffe alien when I can't get the neck long enough lol. :P
That's reasonable and would look good on males and females.
But you know what?
I would like that to be tied to actually giving proper anatomy to legs, especially female legs. They look fine from the front now, but from the side it's a hinge, not a skeletal joint with an actual knee and quadriceps a patella and shin bone.
only if you wanted to create a protoss...i can't think of any other aliens i've seen that don't have mouthes over the years of various sci-fi releases
And those aliens from Independence Day.
Did that Iconian chick have a mouth?

I'd not mind an option of no-mouth alien, in the tailor for being able to make one.. hehe. :D:P

I'll just add Andalites to that list (Animorphs series). Also yes, it would be an idea for aliens, particularly telepathic species.
@shadowfang240/@centresolace - I'd say it's reasonably close, but I'd say the voth armour still looks more Turian than Protoss.
I also second the call for alien tails, although options to create insectoid, aquatic or avian aliens might be cool - and not only for Xindi fans. One idea might be some special unlockable wing options from a trait that acted similarly to the jump boost Caitians and Feresans get, or gave a glide instead (not true flight as it would break most maps, although enabling such on Risa might be nice too). I'm sure not all aliens out there are primates, whatever the Voth might think (how many Gorn or Saurians have tried to teach the Voth basic Biology yet, I wonder?).
Also, I vote for more headgear - horns and spines and such are fun.

TRIBBLE always look better together.

a good idea, if they liked let's say "klingon_alien_form" vs. "romulan_alien_form" why not redirect the access to the alien cast they want, now i can't find the 4'6'' alien anywhere Rom side...
issue was that is was accessing the "bigger alien form" after joining a house "faction", love the small/tall alien, one of the few reasons i use that form personally.
but as it looks, a jerry rig might actually work till "sliders" are in place ... lol
Looks like the new sliders will be hitting a bit later rather than sooner. Unfortunately they're tied to the next big update so all I can say is you'll get to see everything sometime this calendar year.
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

For those without Tribble access, CrypticJoeJing posted this most-recent slider update on the Tribble forums a couple days ago (May 27):
Yeah, saw that... was a bit of a letdown, as I was curious how the new sliders would be... "patience young padawan, patience", is my only comfort now.

I know it's coming up for that 30 day necro period (yay I saved a thread :P) but I thought of something to add here, how about more in depth leg sliders so we as players can balance thighs and calves as we see fit.
Maybe i'm a bit late, but am i the only one thinking that body proportions are a bit off in STO?
What i mean is the leg - upper body ratio. I think legs are way too long on most NPCs and characters.
I always have to use almost extreme sliders max/min to get some more realistic proportions.
Another example are the (muscle) mass differences.
If someone tries to make a strong build Human the legs are always to thin, which makes them look like some comic characters. Even when trying to make a normal build man or woman, one always has to set the leg bulk to almost maximum.
I think the devs should take a better look at the body mass sliders, to make allow us to make some more balanced characters.
"...'With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured...the first thought forbidden...the first freedom denied--chains us all irrevocably.' ... The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged. I fear that today--"

I agree with you... the legs on my female character are too long and too thin. I'd say this in particular affects the female models more than the male ones, but for sure any improvements to either are considered good.

I think this is due to this game still using the base models from that one super hero game most of the emotes are from as well. STO is not an original game, it's basically a port of another game (albeit heavily modified) and you can still tell. My personal hate moment is everytime a NPC does that awful comical heel-click-salute emote which looks like a parody of a German WW2 soldier. This works for superhero goons wearing colourful and comical "mook" costumes. But in STO it looks out of place. !Especially since Starfleet personnel ***does not*** salute!
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^

No wonder that the female characters look the way they do... super-hero game.. that ought to cater to silly comics stereotypes. Hoping that the new sliders will mitigate that issue more.
