A new Space Arena PvP Queue has been added for unteamed players only.
This Unteamed Only queue will not allow premade teams to queue together.

That is the thing thats worried me a lot. At least the pug queues should allow 2 team players.. if I just want to play a casual game with my friend, I have to go and wait 2 hs for a pre made mach or play in separated teams. That is not good!
I agree that full pre made vs full pug need it a fix, but this system just killed the Hey Kirk, lets go to a PVP for the sake of the fun.
+1 this, it's a good change, i really like the all vs all idea, but they need to rethink about this point! I queue up a lot of times with one of my fleetmates or friends, but with this system i will not be able to do so and it's a bit sad

ahah already have but i was referring to cerritourug post, if i want to do a just 4 fun pvp with a friend teamed i cant with this system
IF we push them to Fold in the idea from TD.... they could allow teaming in the No team que... but it would only get you into the same match as your friend not the same team unless the balance math worked out.
I am going to guess they are done what they are going to do.... but hey using a TD style balance component might be something we can push them to do down the road. (they should have just done it now)
I reject the idea of mixed-factions pvp, i will not team up with an enemy of the Empire to kill other honorable soldiers of the Empire for some Federation Pe'taQ to boast about on ESD in a middle of a Federation-Klingon WAR!!!
So this what it comes down to when Cryptic feels that PvP is dead... make an enemy to team up with an ally to kill other fellow allies, for years Cryptic neglected and never updated PvP at all. no new Modes, Maps, no similar Ker'rat and N'vak Type maps with any real objectives, Systems PvP or any Rep System... so they came out with an lazy approach to team enemy with an enemy in PvP, this is no surprise due to the lack of imagination of Cryptic's part to insult PvP players further (Without PvP'ers knowing it), whats the point to have a Klingon Empire, the Federation and Sub-faction Romulans puppets to fight each other that does not fit in the already broken story line, u don't see Mixed-Factions PvP in SWTOR, WoW, Planetside, Guild Wars 2 and so on and many of those game knows how to make PvP to fit their PvE storyline while the Dev's at Cryptic does not.
If they want Mixed-Factions PvP they might as well release Laas from prison and make him the founder of the New Dominion that's made up of whats left of the Federation, Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire with all the foreign lock box ships alot of players using now to wage a Dominion vs Dominion War and rename this game Lock Box Online.

i am more or less on the same page as you. i am not really happy to team with feddies and kill kdf. imo they should have simply killed FvF and forced everyone to queue FvK. there has never been more kdf players (roms obviously), so im not sure why this approach wasnt tried.
...of course it would somewhat defeat the 'random' element and wouldnt go very far to achieve balance in so much as there is an obvious... lets call it a 'team work ethic' ... chasm between a pub fed team and a pub kdf team.
i dunno... im not really keen to be queing with feddies. not only do i dislike allying with them to kill kdf, i am not happy to have them nubbing up the team.
Tbh, i prefer matchmaking. Premades, stomping pugs, are an issue, but unbalanced pug matches are just as horrible. And... if i want to play with one friend or two, do i have to fight every time a premade, since no individual gonna q up there?
Now Klinks get to face their own Aceton's and Interceptors.
Too bad I'm not playing this game, it would be fun to lament that my KDF Tac Mogh is completely superior to my FED Tac Avenger now transfat and downside free!

Something tells me Premades will never see their queues pop again. No more Pug stomping and no more gloating about superior cheesework...uh I mean teamwork.
Hopefully the Premades finally realize they are the source of so many problems in this game and the #1 reason for the dwindling number of pvpers. STO was designed as a team game but not a game of Premades where for instance a "healer" is armed with nothing but turrets.

I think is good for full pre mades, now we dont have to face pugs. But I am worrie that this queue is going to end up more dead than the shuttle one, and in that case is going to kill most of the PVP fleet or communitys or friends.. and that could be really bad for PVP.
