Someone should make a premade fed-ball team with mk I beams using FAW+DEM3. I think then people might get the idea how doubling your non-resistible direct-to-hull damage is TRIBBLE and not a feature.
Another thing is, DEM already doubles your proc chance, which is fine, but with beams you get 3 proc chances per hit. I don't see how that could possibly a good thing either.

I'm not quick to call on nerf, but this is just skill-less ****, 5 people doing it is just absurdly overpowered.
I guess now double tap is nerfed something even worse replaced it.
I personally believe its not the recent DEM discovery that makes it OP, because it still TRIBBLE shield away within seconds before it touches hull. It is the combination of 'overcapping' and namely the Cutter with the double that of marion drain resist (+500 versus +200 out of my head).
If anyone ever done testing on a full beam boat with the cutter proc, you can pretty much see the uptime on the cutter +500 drain resist, its almost constantly on.
Secondly, both Tetryon glider and DEM relies on Weapon power for its full effect, so imagine a fullout beam cruiser (or DBB build) which stays on pretty much 115/125 weapon power at all times, Tet glider and DEM pretty much ignore weapon power level and are always on at pretty much highest effect.
Combine this with a scimitar and cloak ambush, or the new Cruiser with the 25% drain resistance, well you can imagine what happens.

FAW actually works as intended now, it takes into account mods and doesn't have the 100% hit rate bug either. FAW is not the problem, it's the DEM getting 2 hits.
Also anyone happen to see whether they were getting stacked APB debuffs on themselves or were the others using APO? I know a few cruisers can keep APB on a player regardless of TT as it's only cleared once per second for 10s.

i dunt know about you but my hitrate on my FaW test build for a week has been around 93-95%, thats still almost 100% lol.
Each time you "see" your FAW attack a single target you are seeing one pulse, and two swings.
In six test runs of FAW on a single target I saw the expected number of swings per FAW, and the expected number of swings of DEM per FAW, and the expected amount of damage per DEM per swing.

EDIT: Since we know that it takes ten times the CritD to balance CritH (Obviously D is the dependant weaker stat) and we know that it takes ten times the CritH to balance DMG, making CritH the weaker stat, how much CritH could you have doing insane amount of work for you if you gained a flat ten percent DMG bonus? Well 100% of course. Well thats the amount of damage bonus you get if you have stack power and compress the CDs. Or in Engrish, aux2batfawboat.

Haven't had a issue killing without double tap. Sometimes a SNB is needed in team play but it still gets the job done. Probably should respec for a bit more tank and maybe get a sing core that isn't a MK X POS but meh it still works. Oh and fly it sober but I would be disrespecting "WILL PVP ON BOOZE" flying sober.

Technically, it's not half per pulse with FAW. It's ~2/3rd for the first hit of the pulse and ~1/3rd for the second hit of the pulse. So it's definitely not two equal hits. Each has a separate chance to crit (the second 1/3rd can crit and do as much damage as a non-crit 2/3rd, etc, etc, etc).

edit: There are various issues that come into play with it being two hits. Both good for the attacker/bad for the target and bad for the attacker/good for the target...depending on their respective builds.

Technically Virus, this is what was evident from looking at your post.
Test#2...4 shots, 8 hits (4 shield/4 hull) and 4 DEM.
Test#4...5 shots, 10 hits (5 shied/5 hull) and 10 DEM. <---should be 5.
You can see that it's not a case of the log just copying the same DEM twice, the damage varies per hit. There are 2x DEM per shot that hits when using FAW.
so anyways, I feel that saying "half" is sort of ok considering they still add up to say...one whole. And that fact that it isn't really all that important. Just knowing that it is split between...SOMETHING. And that something being the fact that each time you think you were seeing 'one' shot you were really looking at two.
As opposed to say, just plain not explaining how the mechanic works correctly at all.
