10-15k dilithium for most gear IIRC. Elite Disruptors for example were around 15k dilithium when I bought them for one of my KDF characters. Advanced weapons are like 10k or less.

    Ground gear is cheaper still.

FC cost is only an issue if you don't happen to have a huge stockpile of FCs. :D

    Thanks :)

How much are Shields and Deflectors?
I know they are more expensive than weapons.

FC aren't a problem right now.

Once our Mine projects are finished here in a couple more days, I will add "Covenant of Honor" to the list of T3 Mine and Embassy (early next year) to the list of Fleets for Invites. This channel has helped many of my fleetmates and its only fair to give something back. Hopefully, we will also be able to give T4 Starbase invites (if needed) in Q2 2014.

Thanks again for creating the chat channel and everyone who opens their base up to those who don't have a fleet or a fleet with a high holding.

Please note, if a member of Covenant of Honor does try to charge you, please let me know and I will deal with that. I have (even before this channel was created) a strict rule that invites are free.

Elite Fleet shields, engines, deflectors, and warp cores are all 65,000 fleet credits and 30k dil. The dil price will be reduced by the tier of your fleet's mine, to 25,500 if you've got the maximum 15% T3 discount.

Elite space weapons are 30k FC and 15k dil, while Advanced weapons are 20k/10k each. Again, the dil price may be less if your fleet has been leveling up its mine.

Ground weapons are actually more expensive than space weapons, I guess because they figure you'll buy fewer of them.

Only more expensive in FC, not in dilth. They're the same price, at least the advanced ground and space weapons cost the same 9.1k dilithium.

Just an observation from using this channel since it 1st started. If you ask for an invite and no one is available to give you one try not to have a tantrum. Or if you are looking for a Fleet ship, there are on rare occasions fleets that have lots of ship provisions and will let you into said fleet to buy a ship. If no one is on to do that or someone tells you you have to contribute FC or Dil to gain access to a shipyard dont have a melt down. I have seen some really rude and selfish behavior over the last week from people not getting stuff (Fleet ship access) for Free or invites fast enough.

Just yesterday someone was going off in the channel about how they had been asking for a T3 mine invite for over 2 hours and had not gotten it yet, and how this is BS and that is BS.

    Some people's children....

    Free FED/KDF t5 base-invites, cell/tuffli invites, boff-training, and more!

join an active channel free of ego, unnecessary rules, and heavy-handed moderation.
join a channel that is public and not private!
join a channel where we share top tier holdings, freighter-invites, practical advice, and years of sto knowledge.

    /channel_join NoP Public Service

Nerds of Prey, REDdit Alert, House of Snoo, House of Beautiful, and many more fleets are here every single day giving away free invites, allowing you access to top-shelf mine, embassy, spire, and base store consoles, boffs, weapons, etc.

    how does this work?
its the mechanics of sto fleet stores.
the base, the mine, the embassy, and the spire all work this way: you enjoy the access-level of the fleet that owns the terminal you are using, yet all your purchases are deducted from your own fleets pool of provisions. for that reason you must have permissions to use your own fleet store and your own fleet must have the provisions to cover whatever purchases you wish to make.

the only exception to this is fleet ships, which would require you to actually join the higher tier fleet and use their ship provisions. thats why 'free ships' are so rare. it still happens though!

FuturePastNow (one of the most prolific t5-inviters in sto) has gone into great detail regarding fleet-store mechanics.

With the recent events befalling The Trading Channel. We at Nerds of Prey decided to rectify that so we have created NoPTradingChannel for all due to The Trading Channels current drama bomb leading it to go private. Our rules are the same and our channels will stay public for the good of the player community. The channel has already been set up a few weeks back and is ready to be use. We are saddened to see The Trading Channel go private at such short notice and hope them the best.

If you require any further information about the new channel or other general information you can contact me at @RivenGenesis and @grimrak in game whenever I am on. Good luck and have fun in your Sto's gameplay.

So I've been a service provider in channel for quite some time and I thought I'd officialise what I can offer.

    Fed: Council of Athena

    T5 SB
    T4 Sci / Eng
    T3 Embassy
    T3 Mine
    Spire: T2 Res/Ops (As of 29/12/13)

Most importantly: T5 shipyard. We currently are well overstocked on ship provisions for the size of our fleet. I may rescind this offer if we run low, but that shouldn't be for some time.

    KDF: House of Athena.

    T4 SB
    T4 Sci/Eng
    T3 Mine
    T3 Embassy
    Spire.... something, kinda embarrassing.

T4 Shipyard, reasonably stocked on provisions.

Fleet policy is to let our members play how they want, largely, so please don't PM random fleeties asking for things. Your best bet is to get in touch with me, @ruinsfate. I'm usually in NoP PS if I'm playing STO and will get to you if I can.

-edit- There is also a fleet called Legion of Athena. They are not affiliated with us in any fashion.

Another channel to join? Sounds good, I'll let my fleet mates know.

I am already active for a while in the NoP Channel, and here is the list what Tal Prai-Ex (KDF) can offer:

Starbase: T2, (T3 Shipyard*, T3 Engineering and soon Sci T3)
    Embassy: Dipl T1/T2 Recruit
    Mine: T3 complete
Spire: T2(.5) Research and in 8-9 days T2 ops

*Tal Prai-Ex is giving away free KDF-/Romulan Fleetships up to Tier 3 (sorry, Mogh is T4), and, because people still wonder why they cannot buy a ship at the shipyard:you need 1-4 Fleetmodules and 20k Fleetcredits for the Ship Vendor.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
    unfortunately:

    NOT LOYAL ENOUGH!!!

We've now finished the NoP T3 Research upgrade so you may now request invites for KDF CritH consoles as well as for Fed! A moments silence first though for the many NoP lives lost in the war over provisions earlier this morning.

*bows muzzle for a split-second* okay, that's enough silence...question, though - how many provisions did NoP have at the moment the upgrade finished, and how quickly did they vanish?

This is a great service to the community and it cannot be appreciated enough.

There is so much scam happening with this and we also know how public the private "public service" channel has become, it turned so shamefully bad that the news about it had to be pulled from the STO website.

NoP invites you for free and asks for nothing. They keep on doing this for months by now. This deserves a lot of respect!

NoP public service now has fed/kdf t3 spire 'locator' tactical consoles available.
people have been paying millions of ec for access to these consoles, but they dont need to anymore.
if the others are willing to sell you access to something, somebody on NoP public service will be prepared to make it available for free.
stop paying for access to holdings and fleet ships. NoP public service have you covered.

hey guys, just my two cents on this...

First, I think this a a good idea and very kind. I just heard about the channel and dropped in to see for myself. I have to say the people in there are very friendly and informative. I even got an invite to a tier 3 spire (research) without asking.

I did not buy anything tho, cause our fleet is almost maxed out itself, and I want to feel the accomplishment and sense of achievement when I buy the Vulnerability Locators from our own Spire in a few days. This almost makes me wish for a "Made By" tag in this game :)

I am one of the founders of our fleet, which is based on an actual group of international gaming friends. We value our members and consider ourselves a multi-gaming community. We came into this game, specifically, to build a tier 5 starbase (and find more friends for Star Citizen). That was about 14 month ago and now we are lvl19 and all other holdings maxed (and pretty up2date on spire). Now having said this, it brings up a few question which popped to mind when I heard about this.

While this is without doubt awesome for individuals, does this not have adverse effects on the actual community sense, e.g. to work and achieve something together? Isn't this game facilitating solo playing too much already ?

Also, does this not have adverse effects on other fleets? E.g. when a member has enough FC to buy everything he needs, while having achieved the rank for access to provisioned vendors in his own fleet, what is the point for that member to keep working for his own fleet's progress or even being in that fleet at all? (assuming they are not actual friends yet)

Why is selling provisions for EC, which is then used to buy stuff required for the progress of the fleet, considered a bad thing? After reading this thread I m getting the impression this is considered almost devilish. Ofc I can only speak for our fleet, but we do not do this for personal gain. Every single EC gained by this is going straight back into the fleet progress, which in turn benefits the community of the fleet. Only high ranking and trusted members can even invite so it is under control and only done when needed....well not anymore :D We are a strong community so this is not affecting us much, but I can imagine that other fleets (I am talking about communities and NOT individuals) are having a hard time.

As I said, I find this an awesome thing in general, assuming that the initial intentions are genuine and not in fact aimed for slowing down other fleets as well as for more advertisement and exposure of the own fleet. Please do not all jump on me now, basically just asking questions :)

Here's the thing though, with the exception of inviting someone in to get a fleet ship.. in which case they have to actually JOIN your fleet, it doesnt cost the inviting fleet a single thing.

Inviting someone from a lower tier fleet into a T5 base, T3 Mine, T3 Embassy or Spire costs the smaller fleet provisions... not the big fleet.

So... why should folks have to pay to lets say get an invite to a T3 Research Spire to get Loc and Exp Tac consoles when it isnt costing the large fleet a single thing? 10 million EC i seen some fleets charge for access to their T3 Research Spire in ESD. Why are they charging? The provisions dont come from their fleet, it comes from the persons own fleet that got invited in.

The only time i can see a need to charge is if someone wants in for a fleet ship, because ONLY then will that person have to join the big fleet and use up that big fleets provisions... but that is the only time a large fleet has to use provisions and the only time that a 10 mil charge seems fair.

However charging 5 to 10 million EC for someone to go in and buy a couple of Tac consoles, or maybe buy an elite fleet warp core when the large fleet isnt using any provisions to provide it to them? Sorry, thats just a rip off... and thats why there is public service channels.
