damage to the model from sticking the galaxy X TRIBBLE to the model necessitated that. later no cgi galaxy had them. worthless place for arrays anyway there was no blind spot for arrays at that location to cover. anywhere they could fire at the large saucer arrays could already hit, or up to 4 small arrays on the secondary hull that were already there.

Don't matter was used on screen makes it canon, despite the background reasons.
Hmmm... Can cloak, tribble hints at being able to equip dual cannons, and seems very shiny. As long as the front of the engineering hull isn't as boxy/plain as the Regent - I might have a new favorite ship....
I'm liking the heavy armor on the engineering hull and the way most of the windows are 'sheltered'. Though the exposed bridge is a sad point for me. All in all, I'm leaning towards 'I like'.

The ship DOES look pretty fantastic, but where does it say it can CLOAK? If this ship can cloak, I will throw my wallet at the screen. I absolutely LOVE cloaking.
The Defiant/Galaxy X cloaking device on live and tribble now list, "Tactical Escort Retrofit, Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit, Dreadnought Cruiser, Federation Battle Cruiser, Fleet Federation Battle Cruiser.
As mean as this thing looks, and as heavy as her armor is, I'm guessing she's the Battle Cruiser the cloaking Device speaks to me of.

People say the Defiant's cloaking console on tribble now mentiones "Battle Cruiser" and "Fleet Battle Cruiser".
The Avenger also seems to need the Nacelle arrays. Without them she looks like she'd have a pretty nasty blind spot to the above port and starbord. Don't think the one phaser array over the shuttlebay could safely cover both nacelles from small swarm attacks without a few more arrays.
Way to burst my bubble, Brandon. Guess I'll continue flying the Fleet Ambassador until the day we eventually get an engineering-focused Federation ship that has a hangar.
PS: Recluse does not count.

New ship? Fantastic!
Something new to play ISE and EC over and over and over again.
Well my Fleet Assault cruiser didn't seem to make the daffy admiral in the SBUGC Featured Episode series opening show me the proper respect. I imagine when I pull up in an Avenger, she'll have a lot more proper respect. /grin.

Since they bothered to model in a hangar bay I'm guessing it's either a 1 or 2 hangar ship.
No hangers. Please read the Dev posts in the thread.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
Federation nacelle phasers and pylon impulse vents are just wrong looking. This design needed to be more Regent class than Imperial class.
Maybe it's the broad-side cruiser we've been waiting to see for over 3 years now.

Right, let's just pretend we don't have a KDF faction. That's what we're doing now, right? Because hey, Fed is more popular and more Fed ships will rake in the big buck$!
And yeah, if sales are low, they'll slap a freakin' hangar on it. You can count on it. :P
The more I look at it, the more I'm concerned about the shape of the deflector dish. It looks a bit boxy on the front bottom there, but I'm hoping that doesn't mean anything. Kind of like how when the Imperial first came came out and the view from the back was great, but then I saw that nasty, nasty squished deflector dish and lost all interest. Which would suck because I really, really like what I'm seeing in the posted shot. DAT AFT.
I'm apparently part of a minority who is bored by the standard starfleet shipdesign and thinks this might as well be a sovereign reskin. <.<
Don't misunderstand me, it looks good, very detailed and so, but I really prefer the more unusual ship designs like the Kumari or Atrox.
I'm also wondering how much that ship is really needed. The fed already has a ton of ships with a lot of possible boff seating and stats to choose from, I'm not sure the its stats will make it unique enough to be worth buying.
Also: We need Klingon vessels! But you already know that. ^^'

You would loose that bet

Well there's that at least.

Hangers, as in plural, then?

Sorry, Brandon, can't help but say...
lose* (not loose)
iit would be canon if a beam was ever fired from them. its not a thing

Still a phaser array on a Nacelle despite not being used

Currently on the Tribble test server.
Yes, I know now. I just took a similar screenshot with my Sci's Gal-X on TTS. This BAMF-looking ship can CLOAK!

Brandon said earlier it doesn't. It's probably just a shuttlebay, most Fed ships have them.
Except Branflakes already said it wasn't.
Also, thank you for correctly spelling 'hangar'.

I wonder if it can be combined or replaced with other Fed cruiser looks and what Stats it will bring to the table.
