They need to make some jungle mini-game just for cats where you have to go on a scavenger hunt to discovered the buried treasure of Risa. It contains the mythical manes and M'ress hair.

they are based on, not a direct copy

case in point, kzinti females were non-intelligent beasts whereas ferasan females are just as intelligent as males, if not moreso - and they also look nothing alike, though the one TAS caitian seen onscreen also looks nothing like other caitians

As for Caitians, they were in the Original Series movies. Do you remember when Kirk was put on trial, demoted to Captain, and then given the Enterprise A? There was at least a couple of Caitians in the audience.

Ferasans are a Cryptic invention, and it was because CBS would not allow the name rights for the Kzinti.

I know this already. This was because that TAS episode was written before the "Kzin Wars" novels became popular. That's also why the Kzinti in the novels behave a little differently too.

the ship is ugly as hell and the model they were going to use suffers from the same design issue a lot of anthro creatures, especially werewolves, suffer from...overly massive shoulders compared to the rest of the body

it is a very big problem, because any such creature with said issue ends up being a grotesque monstrosity, quasimoto style...something to feel pity for, but hardly something meant to invoke fear, as the sight of a fully-grown kzinti warrior should
