Feds get Leech console (we knew it was coming some day), but KDF gets some TRIBBLE console that noone could care less about? At least give KDF torpedo point defense or wide angle torpedo, you know something useful.

This. Pretty much all the fed consoles are garbage so of course Klingons will be getting TRIBBLE in return it's all the federation has to offer.
Second, nobody is getting your elite Disruptors. Elite Disruptors secondary proc does MORE dmg to shields. The nanite disruptors secondary proc lets x% of dmg bypass shields.
You decide which is better for you but there is a difference.
Delete all toons, only play romulan as the KDF and Federation are no longer unique.
Also this ruins all my major points I made to my Federation fleet mates. "Come to KDF with your rommie, we have leech and elite fleet disruptors. Yay!"
Now they can get all that through a lock box and without having to leave the Federation. Go f--k yourself cryptic.
I am starting to think we should just get it over with and merge KDF into a Fed subfaction already like the Romulans are. It is obvious now Cryptic doesn't care about it, and KDF numbers will be doomed now, no reason to take your Romulan to KDF.
there simply is no reason to roll a klink at all. why would you subject yourself to a faction that has long been neglected by the developers? every single aspect that made the Klingons unique have been offered up to the feds in some way. the number of and quality of ships generally favor the federation. the number of quality and established fleets with high tiered starbases greatly favors the federation. the amount of pve and grind content favors the federation. the feds boasts a lower pve queue time. the sheer amount of c-store content (costumes, species, ships, packages) favor the federation. the feds have more and cheaper doffs as compared to the Klingons.
i'm pretty sure there are additional grievances that should be listed here, but you get the gist. why would anyone want to roll a kdf faction toon? besides rolling a half naked orion female and having your choice of two carrier frigates... both of which will probably be coming to a lock box or c-store near you.

Agree. Klingon is gonna be part of Fed in canon anyway; may as well make a season so that they can merge Klinks as a sub Fed faction.

I agree in fact if my Federation characters didn't have the unique gear they had on them now, they would be deleted. If Cryptic ever allows the option to re-pack up lock box ships for some amount of cost I would jump at it and say buy buy to them.
This just goes to show the work being put into the KDF is nothing more than a publicity stunt to brag to all the news sites that they have 3 full factions all that can play from level 1 as a players first character. Once the LoR patch hits tonight you watch how much content the KDF and Romulans will get.
It will go back to the status quo of the Federation getting the stuff and we getting only the cross faction TRIBBLE written from the Federation perspective like Nimbus is for LoR. Why would the KDF be fighting the Orion Syndicate when they are part of the KDF.
As for this whole leech thing, more annoyed that Fed Romulans can access it as it was one of the main reasons many decided to go KDF with their Romulans. Now it's probably better that they go Federation instead as they can just pick up a leech off the exchange far cheaper than forking out the 1000 Zen for it.

The last time I thought about opening my wallet, they announced Romulan Faction. Then we find out, No, you have to align with FED/KDF.
So do I have this right. KDF has to use Zen to get the Leech.

2. EC (Exchange)
I'm guessing we can't buy the "FED Leech" off the exchange?

Not new :P I was looking forward towards some KDF love with LoR...
Klingons have a better variety of consoles at the tier 1-tier 4 (aka level 1-39). Federation has a better variety (for the most part) at the tier 5 level (levels 40-50). Hence why the KDF seems to get the crappier trades pretty much this whole time. Most of the Federation's 'better' consoles are only equip able on their top tier ships. Klingons have a better bit of choices at their lower levels, but not so much at the higher level (part of it being a lack of C-store consoles at tier 5 to begin with).
I won't say anymore, but do look forward to all the QQing, both in game, and on the forums here.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.

It's either going to be the gas/cloak sensing torpedo-thingie console (originally Fed) or the Leech (originally KDF), and what you get from that pack depends on the faction that character opening it is from. If you're Fed, you will get the sought after Leech console. If you're KDF, you're getting that cloak tracking torp thingie. One is obviously better than the other, just like how the Theta Radiation Vents was given out to the Feds on a similar reward pack (that was a great KDF console, too).

But that's only useful for Torpedo build, which some of the KDF don't use - namely the carriers that functions as a beam boat or circulating gunboa.
It can be used by any ship as long as it has at least one torp weapon so anyone can use it. Most everyone I know uses one.
Even with no torp tac consoles:

Problem is the ionized gas sensor torpedo is not able to be fired at locked targets. You fire it and it starts homing on any cloaked ship nearby..if none found it runs around until its timer expires.
So..it is a highly situational torpedo and a big waste of a console slot. Only functional in pvp really.
Very good ship that is hard to use, hardly IWin ... PL might help along the Aux DHCs but still a sci ship with weak hull, builds exist taking advantage of high Aux settings and the Aux DHCs.
I certainly missed the rage but are you serious complaining about it? the only thing it can do is pet spawn you that is a mildly annoyance because its not a sci ship and who is going to waste aux batteries to launch fighters?
One trick pony that only works on PvE under certain circumstances.
I fly one, have NO damage control ... you have the very worst BO layout when you fly it, I would even switch to Lt. Eng/Ens Sci that would still mean it have no real damage control.
That is why about everyone stop talking about it when release because the ship royally sucks when it comes to survival.

It will be a nice edge with my MACO shield but it is not going to make me that much MORE evil than I already am TBVH.
I am with you in wondering what is so wrong for the Armitage... I mean it is a very good Escort, don't get me wrong, and giving it even more of an edge will make it even more so but... ... Why that Escort specifically?
As for the Kumari LOL... Learn 2 Tank my friend. Yeah it does not have many heals but there are ways to make that irrelevant and if you tank it correctly then you get to enjoy its horribly insane damage with no drawbacks. This console is going to be downright sinister on a Kumari.

Honestly, the only problem I have with this is timing. Since this is being done at launch, and the Plasmotic Leech serves nicely to help mitigate some of the -40 power of a Warbird, it leaves players with little incentive to align their Romulan characters with the KDF. If the same trend holds true with this console as in the past, the Reward Pack prices will be relatively cheap a few weeks after folks start hunting for the new lock box ships; the result being that any player that hasn't unlocked the Vandal can choose to pay 1000 Zen for access to the ship/console (KDF aligned), or just pay some EC's on the Exchange (Fed aligned).
Can you guess which faction queue is going to pop faster as a result, and which will pop slower?
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
