I know - but am at work, so can't log into the game to check. Said person claimed that it was a three-pack in the C-store on Tribble.
    well, i can check, but i seriously doubt it's there for 2 reasons;

1: cryptic has stated in one or more dev blogs that the scimitar will be playable, but most likely not at launch

2: none of the premium ships released after the odyssey/bortasqu' were added to tribble, so i can't see them adding this one either

Fair enough - typical zone chat nonsense then.

Guess I shouldn't really expect intelligence from people who think that anicent, TRIBBLE, Gorn jokes are funny/clever.

Thanks for the reply, anyhow :)
well, i took a look since i was going on tribble anyway...it's not there, so yeah...zone intelligence (or lack thereof) strikes again

Wow. This is one big TRIBBLE update. Going to take a while to patch.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

i dont know if it's been reported or not but according to the patch notes for tribble romulan players were supposed to be able to gain access to the cloaked intentions series but i have yet to get the hail from the admiral about it and i have a toon that is commander rank. is this a bug or was it a misprint in the notes?

Yeah, wait for the Neverwinter fervor to die down from open beta launch.

Ended up not doing so. Instead, enjoyed a marathon of Star Trek Voyager while I waited for the download. I think I got through 6 or 7 episodes. Ended up being much more enjoyable than griefing about the slow speed. Wish I had thought of that before posting on the forums.

98.9% Glad this update is almost over. It took close to 1 hour.

Quite true however this advantage was nullified as the war went on so over 30 since nemesis era which is after the dominion war, there's no real reason for these ships to be uber super escorts with tanking abilities that put most cruisers to shame, other then it must be a favorite ship of cryptic studios.
Exactly what I was saying. It should be the runabout of the true Way faction. There are even Jem'Hadar Attack Ship hangars for crying out loud.

Earth's Atmosphere was restored today. Should be in the next build, though I don't know when that will be.

The atmosphere of New Romulus is not missing, but it seems to be very low resolution. See the screenshot below.

Rure Penthe also lost its atmosphere (including the white out effect when "hitting" it).

Thanks, I'll take a look. But in theory when I restored Earth's atmosphere, it would have fixed up all of the other planet's as well. I'll double check anyway.

Speaking as someone from the low end of the video card spectrum...

A lot of new textures look wonderful, that's a plus

    On the flip side...

It is amazing that some things will never be fixed (Defera Systems 'blocky appearance' for example)

    Glad to hear it.
Can you elaborate? What do you mean by 'blocky appearance'?

Not really related to the texture update (or really anything in this patch), but my BOffs leave their stations whenever I change maps, and it's getting on my nerves. :x Can this be fixed please?

Taco, I only had a few minutes yesterday to tinker, but I can confirm this one as well. The Azure nebula in the background of that system was also blocky - like Minecraft-level blocky.

I am running with everything except bloom maxed, in DX11 mode. Both framerate stabilizers are turned on, but otherwise troubleshooting set to default. I am running a Geforce 570M with 1.5GB vid RAM, with the latest drivers.

We know about the texture error. I'm investigating now, but will need to consult with our graphics guys. It does seem to be related to missing atmosphere textures. So far, the only one I know of is Earth.

Is anyone (not crashing) seeing missing atmospheres on other planets around the galaxy?

Where is the character that you're trying to load when it gives you that crash?

    Thanks

DS9, as soon as I see it in sector space, crashed both my characters.

Not exactly the same issue - mine keeps crashing trying to apply this patch/update. Started it on 4/9/13, but it only got to 62%, stalled out, then crashed. Tried to restart a couple of times to no avail, so restarted it yesterday a.m. By evening it had reached 20% (after the restart - and my comp is fast; don't get it...), so I left it overnight...to find out the client had crashed sometime early this a.m.!

Restarted, and am still trying to patch it now - it's at a whopping 22%, which, I grant you, is faster than yesterday - but TWO DAYS to apply the patch??!! Come on!

Never had this problem before - maybe you guys should look into fully separate/unlinked systems for each of your games? I mean, if the Beta of Neverwinter is doing this and is really what's responsible for bogging everyone down, I seriously CANNOT imagine the horrors that will hit when you all release LoR! Well. maybe I can...

On your game client login, you can choose to patch by proxy. this will get you through the patch bug. Its a tad slow, so I might take 15 minutes to patch your game. Look for the option on the menu

As per the DEVS... just remember to remove the check mark on Patch by proxy AFTER the download. You might incur future issues.

any word yet on the patching server? Cause if this is any sign of things to come you are about to be in a world of hurt Cryptic. If I were you guys I would slowly start introducing features into the game, so when launch comes it's not so HUGE.

TRIBBLE is being updated ... Snip...

[*]For testing purposes, we have TRIBBLE all Reputation and Fleet projects to complete in 30 seconds.
    • Note that the time displayed will not match this 30 second completion time.
      • Projects may state they complete in 20 hours, but they will complete with 19 hours 59 minutes 30 ... snip LIST]

How do we complete said projects without the required resources being made available within the beta time window when we are leveling new characters through partial content?

Is there a way to do Fleet projects without having a fleet?

How can we test rep and fleet character advantages and interactions?

Tacofangs, since everybody is ignoring (or refusing to post in) my bug report thread (can't miss it, it has your name on it :P) related to the Kestrel, I'm going to repeat it here.

The rear compartment of the Kestrel doesn't seem to have all its hull plating attached.

Seriously on the log in screen, where are my Boffs...

Now that I'm thinking about it, is the BOFFs not being on the character select related to the fact that your BOFFs are no longer slotted into stations every time you change a map? Is the entire game forgetting what BOFFs we have?
