unique content from 1-40..... hmmmmm no star bases....hmmm where did I see that before...must be Federation pre season 6 because the Klingons did not have that at all even with Star bases.
Sworn enemies? The Federation can't harm a fly, and the Klingons used to be their allies.
This has stopped the Romulans considering them enemies? No, it hasn't. Have you actually watched Trek?
Also, the fact that you think that only you are supporting this game really takes any credibility away from you, not that you had much to begin with .
I specifically said I wasn't the only one.
What I said was that I and people like me have been regular supporters up till now. Do try to keep up, dear.
*glances at STO, which has had a year of nothing but fiscal growth, has greatly increased its staff, is PWE's highest earner outside the Asian market, and has just unveiled its first true expansion pack*
Yeah, it looks like we're in real danger of shutting down.
Yes, before today. Before contributers like me decided to cut Cryptic off.
We shall see what the future holds, won't we?
Q: (ooiue) Now that the precedence has been set of you guys adding factions, are there plans to put a playable Dominion/Cardassian faction sometime within the next year or two?
Dstahl: Legacy of Romulus definitely opens up the door to adding new factions in the future and ultimately puts STO one step closer to a living Star Trek galaxy.
I saw this and thought, Delta Quadrant, Borg, alcoves, ships, plasma wrist weapons, Borg UI, Cube fleet base, etc...and also spending lots of money on Borg related lock box / c-store items...I'd love Hue as a commander...

The Romulans did see the Federation as an enemy, much good it did them.
And...where are these legions of outraged players behind you? I kind of can't see them. I only see you.
Perhaps they are hiding?
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.
All I want to know is, if my Romulan can fly my Odyssey, can my KDF fly it too?
After all, I paid for it and it's "only a game" mirite guiz?
That is an excellent point. Cryptic sets themself up for this hard question with that statement and decision. What about the ships and outfits we payed with zen for.
Ships are sort understandable, Those are rather large mashines of war and sponsored by a government, but outfits? gimme a break, replicator that way, done.
So going by the logic that it was payed for with Zen,
All faction restrictions sjould be gone from all Zen items, we payed for them after all.
Species specific outfits? Hogwash, 99% of all species in trek are humans with colored skin or bumpy foreheads. There rest is the same.

Which side will the Dominion/Cardassian players chose federation or klingons? It will be intreasting.
As long as the plan is to slowly add all the Games Systems like DOffs / Fleetbase / PVP etc. over the next Seasons to the Romulan Faction, like they did in the beginning with Klingons, then i am OK with that.
I would just like to hear now that Romulans one day will actually get their own full blown DOff Expansion.
The only question would be how to separate existing chars from their allies again, in particular with DOffing, once you have FED or KDF DOffs those can't be magically get a green border and keep working...
so even if we have to play the FED/KDF DOff Missions and Chains without any Romulan Flavor, i would at least request that ROM faction specific DOffs be added before it is too late.
Using another factions starbases for equipment is 1 thing, but flying another factions ships is another.
While I disagree with a lot of what you say this I totally agree with. I feel this move is wrong. I think the community would be happy to have only minimal content for the next 12 months on the Romulan side in exchange for not being forced to fly Fed and KDF ships on Romulan characters.
I understand they are trying to give Romulan players as much content and things to do as the characters on other factions, but I think it be better not to do this even if the Romulans have a bit of a content drought while the KDF are polished up and Romulan content is released in each season.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!
All joking aside after this how can the romulans ever be a real faction
there is no way to make them into an actual faction now.
Maybe they can splinter off a different rom faction based not on D'Tans space hippies but on the rom star empire led by sela after the hobus made romulas go boom.
Idk just seems cryptic is taking a lazy mans way out of making an actual faction
Yes, before today. Before contributers like me decided to cut Cryptic off.
We shall see what the future holds, won't we?
People were saying very similar things for the past three years, almost every time something happened.
It's a given that I can't see the future, but based on patterns up until now, I am willing to guess you won't be any more right than the ones who came before you.

This won't happen. That's what's so annoying about this. Once the Romulans are entwined with the Federation and Klingons, there is no undoing it. Cryptic simply cannot take players from those factions and dump them into a new one later on down the road.
The shortsightedness of Cryptic's plan is probably one of the most aggravating things about it.
Which side will the Dominion/Cardassian players chose federation or klingons? It will be intreasting.
The Cardassian government under Natima Lang will join the Federation, ofcourse. The Federation already patrols and protects their space by the peace agreement.
The Jem'Hadar on the other hand, will go KDF. They respect the warlike Klingons.
The Romulans did see the Federation as an enemy, much good it did them.
Your opinion of the Romulan psyche is noted. This does not however change what they believe and why it's jarring to have to be Romulans that suddenly don't.
And...where are these legions of outraged players behind you? I kind of can't see them. I only see you.

Oh, one minute there are so many players "whining" that you must comment on it more than once, the next I'm the only one.
Listen, when you decide to stop making posts from Planet Convenience I'll be right here, okay?

The only way i can see a rom faction later is if its based on a romulan empire led by sela it will be the only way it could happen.
It would also work since those who follow sela are not happy with D'tans faction of roms so idk but thats about the only way a rom faction can be done after this impending train wreck.

I never said there is a legion of them whining. Its mostly you.
This reminds me of an American Dad episode where Stan would not accept help. Then he realises that people helping each other can achieve more then he can alone, so he changes his opinion based on results.
Now if a Romulan thinks that the Star Empire lead to a gaint bang, would he or she not be inclined to try something else?
And to get Sela as a leader, Sela needs to be retrieved.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.
LOL seriously, it's like the people defending this decision by attacking those of us who are upset by it can't decide which personal attack to settle on.

Like the Romulan Alliance System? Of course you do, it sounds fine to you because you aren't Romulans, you're FED or KDF who are going to make a Romulan alt, it makes a HUGE difference in perspective.
LOL seriously, it's like the people defending this decision by attacking those of us who are upset by it can't decide which personal attack to settle on.
Pointing out that a few dozen players won't make a big dent in PWE's income is now a great and evil attack.
If only it worked in STFs....

If cryptic was to later make a rom star empire faction the first initial mission would be a rescue operation to get sela kinda like the initial borg invasion training mission for the feds.
Then you could start your journey as a rom officer in the rom star empire trying to help empress sela revive the fallen empire to its former glory.

Rare is the time anyone actually admits to watching American Dad.

A what?
And Sela has what to do with anything? *knocks* Make sense!
Ya know after thinking on it for a while there is 3 factions within the romulans
Star Empire led by Sela
D'Tans Unificationists on new romulas
and
The Tal Shiar
Since we are playing D'tans unificationsts it would be understandable if they seeked allies with the feds and klinks.
Even to the point some may even join the Feds or KDF who knows but the fact is D'Tans faction does not have the man power to stand alone as a true faction.
However if later on cryptic makes a rom faction based on the star empire led by sela then that would make more sense.
Since after romulus and remus were destroyed the majority of romulans united under selas banner and only a handfull joined up with D'Tan which is why the tal shiar is able to bully them around.

From : We are...Back

The only issue I have is: Why would the romulans join the KDF?
KDF have 5 missions. Feds have 50.
Why?

In that clip I totally misred the FI for an A in final journey.
But I do not want Romulans to use Fed or KDF ships. That would be odd.

I Support Disco | Disco is Love | Disco is Life
Would be nice to have both Dominion and Borg as pure separate entities...

Sela needs to be euthanized. I'm pretty sure she's the bad luck charm behind everything that happened to the Romulans lately.
Remeber, those guys make the borg look like hapless space bunnies. So this mission sounds more like a level 60 elite STF.
Shopks got it.... Sela part was not meant at you.
The politics of the Star Empire lead to the Hobus Supernova.
I do like American Dad, Family Guy, South Park , Simpsons, and most of all Futurama, and sometimes I can watch Drawn together.
