It's NOT clear if it was just hyperbole or not, but it would explain a lot about how they act...
I don't remember anyone saying the Tholians were immune to reality shifts/alternate universes. They did say "it is dangerous to you", which I guess could mean they were immune, but they might have also been bluffing to get Archer to release the TARDIS.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

I wouldn't say immune... just, less strongly affected. I wondered so I rewatched the ep. In the initial encounter, the Tholian commander says "It is dangerous to you... temporal radiation." That was the only mention.
It might have been a bluff. But the effect of the temporal radiation was to make people standing around it experience time loops. Would the Tholians have felt the same effect? Dunno.... but maybe not.
@ Drogyn: it was the second time they were seen on screen.... ever. and their actions/motives were rather interesting.
I think it would be better if they remain mostly a mystery, as soon as we know their intentions, origins, etc, they will be boring again and we will have to **** another alien species of its potential.
Keep them a rare mystery... as the Borg should of been kept the rare horror!

Is there a way to set up a Trans warp to start location or travel to start location.?
("like for for events and all the Episodes. { example: "Cold Case", 2400 episodes with the dominion's lost fleet retaking DS9.}
If not could there be one added? It'd help with playing / finding any of the Foundry missions.
The way I currently play Foundry missions is pick up a lot of missions and do them when I run across them or notice that they are near by. or sometimes go around doing all the ones in a area. like the Regulas sector block. or take the long route and head straight for the start location by going through couple sector blocks just to get there... depending on character at warp 10 or warp 14-17. it takes a long time to do multiple missions and run couple STFs or missions that give marks
Transferring their consciousness into another body? (like in "Turnabout Intruder")
No, you're going too far.
On a side note, my mission is almost done, but as usual, since i'm not a native english speaker, and since i make some mistakes, i'm currently doing the boring work: translating, checking everything 3 times. You guys are lucky not to deal with that. But you will tell me it's my choice to participate and that's right. Is anyone else here in this situation? Or am i alone and completely crazy?
I know this is short notice but would it be ok if i request an extention of a few days? Till Friday - Saturday maybe?
Its just with work and the coming baby, i wont be able to finish the last level of my entry and i spent soo much time on it???
At the least put my name forward and i just publish a little late!?
As the mrs. would say; Pleeeeeeeease lol

As a reminder, the deadline/publish date for your missions is tomorrow, Wednesday February 27th. Please do not publish them until 10AM PST tomorrow, or, as close as you can get to that time (i.e. if you have to work at 7am PST tomorrow, publish it before you leave for work, or tonight, or whenever Just as late as possible, but by 10am PST tomorrow.)
Also, please remember that you need to reply to this thread with its information in the format lasted in the OP (this needs to be filled out completely by the due date/ time for your mission to be considered. If I can't find your mission published in-game tomorrow around 10am PST, I won't be able to add it to the voting thread.).
I fell super behind on this one. Spent way too much time in PvP Bootcamp and outfitting my Galaxy-X for uber pwnage. I doubt i'll have it finished by tomorrow...
Oh well, I'll just have to finish it and release it later.
I did an all nighter and finished mine at a great reduction of the story.
Only im stuck at the hospital with other half in labour so I don't know when I'll have 10mins to publish it.
Please please please keep me entered, I worked all night to get it done in time for the contest and this looks to be my final entry for some time.

Since it is ten minutes to the start of the voting period, I just want to be a good sport...
Remember: No mission is any "better" or "worse" than any other - they are all bad in some way, and they are all good in another way. Each mission is a humongous undertaking of writing, scripting, map making, costuming, etc.
As a previous modder for Star Wars: Battlefront II and Star Trek: Bridge Commander, I can say that I've had some experience in the field of custom mods. One thing I've learned is that hard work into any project is readily seen by a player - and there is no true defeat if you've given it all you've got.
Good luck to the other contestants! I am looking forward to playing the other missions you all have created.
And as for rickysmith, congratulations on the baby! Hopefully BranFlakes sees this as a special occasion and will allow you to submit. (After all, missions can be created at any time; babies only come once!)
Again, good luck. I look forward to playing these great missions.

I'm so sorry, but there are others that couldn't publish it in time, so it had to be removed I have to stick to the rules on this because it's been known for the last 6 weeks, and there are others in the same situation. Again, my sincerest apologies.
Well, that's a disappointment. I know ricky worked on it for a long time, he was saying so on the Persistent Foundry Project website for a while.
At least he can still submit it as a spotlight mission at any time.
Oh and BranFlakes, where is the voting thread?

I feel horrible, and I know how hard he worked on it, but I have to stick to the rules because there are others in the same situation The voting thread is coming up this afternoon -- it takes a while to copy and paste everything into a nice, blog format.
Thank you to everyone who submitted their missions for Foundry Challenge #6, and for all the discussion in this thread! From today until Wednesday, March 20th at 10AM PST, voting will be open. Please see this thread for voting information.

If we spot a spelling mistake (for me, I've checked and it's just the one - "Offciers" - C and the I wrong way round -.-, I must of over looked it during tests), but published the mission before the submitting date; is it possible to correct it sometime?
Like, after the voting list has been created or sometime down the line? Just inquiring.
While on the subject of spelling mistakes, is it possible, or is it on your list (if this feature can even be implemented in the foundry) to have a text editor for the creator while during the mission/map?
It would dramatically improve the interface - being able to correct mistakes there and then - in the moment. Just wondering!

Once the mission is published, it should not be removed. The only exception to this would be if for some reason players are saying they can't complete it and you need to fix something so they can. Feel free to fix spelling, etc. after the voting ends
I'm not sure about a text editor, but I know the team knows it's a requested feature. I don't know of any concrete plans, but maybe one day!
