picked up the rom dread pack last night for my rom toon....OMG is it awesome lol...love the thaloran pulse....first time i used it i hit a 45k crit against a D'D in the tau dewa sector patrol, the one north east of the starbase 239

you obviously don't know what quality is, then, because I find it to be one of the best ships I've ever flown, if a tad fragile
It has the hull strength of the Captain level Defiant. If not for the 10th console slot, it would appear to a reskin of that. The only advantage I can see is the superior speed and turn rate, which really would serve to allow a quick escape when you are low on hull.
Whereas with my Fleet MVAE, I can easily solo a cube without breaking a sweat. When broken into the 3 segments, I am essentially flying the Fleet Defiant with 2 NPCs serving as a distraction.

you've obviously never heard of speed tanking...i can solo a cube in the corvette too, because it can barely hit me while i'm zooming around it pummeling it into superheated scrap metal

When I said combat, I didn't mean sneaking up. I meant once you actually are engaged in combat. In the midst of a battle, when your hull gets to 20%, you cannot just cloak and run away.

Except, I didn't use the romulan torpedo last match, just the regular XII accx3 torpedoes and spread II and III, seems much more viable for anti-escort use to say the least. I was surprised it even worked.

I did find a way to survive all the plasma spam, I pulled out the Casino Royale yesterday and it can tank pretty well.
