    They kinda blow - limited functionality and I haven't figured out how to customize my avatar...did they remove that functionality?

    You can pick from their limited selection, but you cannot choose your own custom avatar.

    It is not going well so far. It feels like all of us regular users have lost our identities :frown: No custom Avatar, no Image footer?

    How did you get that image in your post Nagus?

    edit - hey took a few minuted by my footer appears now :)

    I could do without the mammoth header. Even at 1080 the text of the thread I am reading doesn't start until the very bottom of the page. Lame. Everyone now has a Jun 2012 join date now too, we are all newbs. I changed my forum name and it said it would reflect in-game but that has not happened, what gives?

    Careful, mate. I got in trouble last time I posted that ASCII piece of genius.

    Not impressed.

    That's... really all I have to say on the matter. I keep discovering new and scary things that are unsettling me (the absence of a C-point purchase option, replaced with Zen... it goes on)

    I don't mind them merging things with PWE, but they could have at least warned us... Don't like the non-custom avatar, and what the heck is going on with C-Points? Are they switching to ZEN now, ugh!! Guess I won't be buying those anytime soon. And before the website worked fine on my iPad now none of the buttons work, they need to fix that asap!

    Not especially fond of the new look.

    *Lots* of wasted space at the top. Is it really necessary to have the header take up half the page?

    Blue on grey (still no choice of skins?)

    I was afraid of this back when the Neverwinter forums were changed over. They got things MUCH WORSE, if you can believe that.

    The header is FAR too large.

    NO ONE comes to the forum to look at an image. There's no reason for it to be larger than 300 or so pixels, anyway.


    Removal of avatar customization in lieu of a few static choices is something that I hope is temporary as they continue to transition to the new system.


    The "reply", "preview", "advanced", "quote", "multi-off", etc. buttons need to be edited to both match the color scheme and get rid of the extra white pixels around the edges.


    It's a shame the upgrade didn't pull from the previous database to keep folks' threads and junk, but *shrug*. That's not too big a deal.




    Really, the STO header in addition to the forum header makes the top of every page ridiculous regardless of a user's screen resolution. It's just wasted space before anyone can get to the actual content, which is poor UI design for the web. Please look into smaller options for that.

    Dislike it overall.

    really don't like how our PWE names are our forum names, had no idea it would link them like this. :mad:

    The Dominion avatar logo is spelt wrong, it's spelt as Dominian.

    I preferred the old forum layout, don't really mind the new layout though.

    If you've ever been to any other PW game's forums, they look exactly the same, only re-skinned to suit that game. It's degrading, really.

    And fixed width? I'd hope that no-one was running at 600x800 anymore...

    Not a fan.

    But I'm not exactly surprised. In my short tenure playing STO, Cryptic/PWE have repeatedly released half-finished updates to accompany their half-finished game.

    So why not update the forums with a new setup that has half-functionality?

    If this is season 2 of the forums, maybe by season 7 we'll have avatars and access to mail again.

    The white GUI on black background is garish and downright painful to look at.
    The buttons are all artifacty and ugly.
    The quote buttons are at the top instead of the bottom of the posts. (why?)
    The header, while pretty, is too damned big.
    Signatures seem to be broken and more constricting.
    When editing a post, it automatically goes into quick reply.
    Quick Reply doesn't work, giving poster "No thread specified" error message.
    NO CUSTOM AVATARS??!?!?! WHATTHEFUARGEGBELBGEEGBLBGEBLE?!?!?!

    All this discovered in less than 20 minutes.

    Wow, what a way to 'slap' us down...to be just like everyone else.

    Bland...just bland. But hopefully...there will be improvement.

    Wow... I like the look, was a little at end with merging my PWE account with my Cryptic account but I guess it was inevitable.

    More concerning is it seems C-Points no longer exist and its now Zen? What happened to the C-Points I had? Would also be neat I suppose if that Core connect worked with STO, but I guess that's coming.

    I would also like to see the "new posts" vs. "no new posts" icons a bit more clear.
    And give us back "mark forums read" somewhere.

    can't say i'm very happy...
    have to figure out everything again.
    Al the threads look "big", i don't know, it takes longer to scroll thru them and they are harder to tell apart than before.
    Thanks to a few other peeps, i got my sig figured out, but still...

    Worst of all:
    Since I had to merge accounts, i now can not log into the game...
