Harper: alright GAR I think we’ve held them back long enough. Signal R’tas to bring his assault carrier into the fray. That should give us the push we need to send them back. Also call in our infinity class to help cover Cairo.

    GAR: aye sir.

A moment later the large sanghelli ship jumps in firing its weapons and powerful energy lance at the dread that has now been severely weakened. While an command and repair ship drops in by Cairo helping to move it out and start repairs. As the dread takes more damaged the undine ships seem to go from being precise and calculating to wild: they lash out firing at or even ramming any ship that is close enough.

Harper gets up after his ship takes a hit

    Harper: status!

Tech: shields are down. Hull armor is at 80 percent.

Harper: get shields back online when you can. Focus fire on the nearest enemy ship and fire.

    Tech: aye sir.

Harper: Milo what’s the status of the enemy fleet?

Milo: they are starting to fall apart sir. With the damage done to the command ship they seem to be going into a craze.

Harper: then let’s end this before while we can. All ships press the attack. We need to end this while we can and they are in a craze.

    GAR: aye sir.

    OOC: Yeah.

    *R.S.S. Resolute.*

Ops: Captain! Undine frigate on a collision course!

Captain: Evasive action! Concentrate defensive fire!

    Hargrove: Brace yourselves!

*The Resolute veers out of formation, and it's point defence batteries focus the frigate down with nanite micro-torps. The undine ship starts to break up, but strikes the Resolute's starboard nacelle pylon, sending the ship into a sudden roll. On the bridge, the crew are forced to the left, klaxon blaring. Hargrove is hanging on to the railing.*

    Captain: Stabilise!

    Helm: Trying!

*The helmsman reaches to the controls and diverts power to the thrusters. The ship starts to stabilise.*

    Regaining attitude control!

Tactical: Sir, we've drifted into the Unity's path!

Captain: Helm, get us back in formation!

    Helm: There isn't time!

*The two Republic battleships try to avoid each other, attempting to roll to prevent a collision, but the Resolute's port nacelle pylon impacts the Unity's starboard nacelle, the warp grille shattering and venting drive plasma into space. The two ships slowly guide themselves back into formation.*

    Captain: Damage report!

Ops: Warp Drive offline! Aft tertiary shields have failed! Thruster overloads at clusters P3-5! Inertia Dampers have failed on multiple decks! Decks 8-13 have lost power in Aft Section 5!

    Hargrove: Weapons?

    Ops: Still online!

    Hargrove: Continue firing!

Harper: GAR get any support we can by the republic!

    GAR: aye sir.

As he is giving the orders one of the three remaining UNSC assault carriers is hit by the undine and then hit with the mental attack. As it is it explodes in a massive explosion as an undine had sneaked aboard and overloaded the ships reactor and detonated the ships three nova warheads.

Harper gets up after the shock wave.

    Harper: what the hell happened!

Milo: sir we just lost the Thunderous.

Harper: what the hell how that was one of our main assault carriers.

Milo: unknown sir but we have massive number of ships disabled from the blast.

Harper: regroup as best as we can and prepare to push the undine.

Janeway sees the events happening from the view screen.

    Janeway: good lord.

The ship is shaken from the blast of the UNSC carrier as it starts to drift again as the Corbulo looses the tracto beam it was using to move the Cairo.

    Janeway: engineering report

Stahl: I’ve got primary power back for now admiral but not sure how long that will hold if we lose shields again.

Janeway: we don’t have much of a choice at this point. We need to regroup and get everyone back in position or the whole fleet will fall apart.

Stahl: alright I’ll stay down here and see what I can do.

    Meanwhile in a different dimension

Star Crosser: we should be helping them. We could end this conflict easily.

Silent Cartographer: you know what would happen if we stepped in and changed the timeline. These events are fixed.

Star Crosser: to hell with that. We have remained hidden and silent for this long. Why shouldn’t we change the way things are now!

Silent Cartographer let’s out a sigh as he shakes his head. Looking to the other two standing there

Ur: you know what must happen for them to grow into the beings we have seen them to become. They will become the proper guardians of their galaxy. But to do so they must suffer these growing pains.

A familiar face is among them. Young again as he once was this hybrid looks at the young entity before him before finally speaking. In the past he was known as Sinclair he now here uses his given title.

Vanguard: you are both right. While we should help them Star Crosser the Cartographer and Ur are also correct. If we step in now it will remove a very important juncture. Yes this will be a hard time for them all but we know how they grow through it. We have seen what they will accomplish on their own without aide. They will become what they need to be. If we step in now....

He pauses for a moment as he closes his eyes letting out a sigh.

Vanguard: I’ve lived with them fought with them. And as far as they know died with and for them. They have survived everything that has been thrown at them. And they will continue to do so with out our aide here.

Star Crosser: you know what is going to happen. What is about to transpire. You are willing to let that happen!

Vanguard slams his fist onto the table they are by leaving a large indent and a large crack. The other two look nervous as they have yet to see him get angry.

Vanguard takes a long slow breath before speaking his tone though now more commanding and not the soft tone it was before.

Vanguard: do you think I wouldn’t like to go there now and wipe the undine out of the galaxy for good! That I would like to save the lives of all those that have died already! I would like nothing more then to wipe those scum undine from the face of the galaxy for what they have caused. But I know what that will turn these fighting groups into what they will become.

Ooc: yeah needless to say I do plan on the UNSC being dealt very crippling blow by the time this is over but I plan on it bringing the major powers closer together as well.

*As the battle goes on in normal space, the Coalition ships start getting desperate. Their design makes them much easier to maneuver around each other, but even with their tech advantage they just don't have the numbers*

Captain Tarik: This isn't going well... *He sighs, hitting an emergency comm panel for broadcasting to the entire Coalition Battle Group* This is Captain Tarik of the C.F.W.S. Venator. We are engaging Emergency Maneuver Delta Sigma. All ships prepare to recieve survivors as we begin the beaming procedures. Then, focus fire on the First Dreadnought, make a hole in its shields.

*Hundreds of transporter signatures are detected on the Venator, as all of its crew save a handful of individuals are beam to the other Coalition cruisers and Frigates. Once they've finished evacuation procedures the coalition vessels all overload their weapon capacitors for a temporary dangerous amount of extra fire power, all to bring down or open up a hole in the Dreadnought's shield, before the Venator divers all of its power to its engines, purposefully bringing their Power Core into meltdown and ramming directly into the hull of the undine ship, torpedoes and energy weapons firing into it as they impact, the ship immediately after creating a hole and becoming lodged in it detonates in a bright fiery explosion with energy readings similar to that of a small localized supernova*

Captain Kence: This is Captain Kence, now taking command of Coalition battlegroup Fortuna, in place of the late Captain Tarik.

Eve: Of Course! But its extremely difficult to do it, only the most elite Daemons are even eligible for training, and it involves some very complex temporal mechanics to try and avoid being detected by temporal scanners. Basically, our leader doesn't want any of the Temporal Factions interfering with us, so we've invested a lot in developing ways of infiltration. *The Enterprise tries to avoid the undine where it can, relying on the surprise element to get as close to the Primary rift as possible, its escort group attacking the Undine and distracting them at every opportunity.*

Vosi Dax: We're close enough! Drop out of warp and begin charging the Tox Uthat! *On Comms* We make our stand here! We need to buy enough time for the Enterprise's weapon to fire. Until them do everything you can to keep them off of us, we'll try and divert extra power to speed it up, but its going to leave us more vulnerable.

*The Enterprise's gravitic lance is shut down, the power relays now being diverted to the Tox Uthat, charging steadily as they ready it*

*The Cestus Frigates and all the Federation ships around the Enterprise get as close as they can safely, forming a phalanx formation to defend against all Undine vessels*

Harper is holding onto a holo table as a fire burns on the bridge and it is clear the ship is heavily damaged.

Harper: Weapons target the dread prep our nova warhead and prepare to fire.

The carrier fires its PAC breaking the dreads hull and then firing its nova warhead that detonated and destroyed the undine ship.

As a few cheers are heard on the bridge Harper quickly calms them down.

Harper: we aren’t anywhere near cores yet people. Stay focused.

Harper: all ships press them now. This is the chance we need to finish this.

As they push harder right before the rifts close a number of signals are detected that vanish once they appear from the rifts. While it will take a short while for them to find out what happened they will soon find they where a last ditch effort by the undine. The devices will destroy a number of planets.

Once the largest rifts are closed it doesn’t take long for the remaining undine ships to be dealt with.

    A short time later

    Harper: report.

GAR: we are mopping up the last of their ships now sir. Nothing major now. When the main rift closed they seemed to start pulling back super quickly. I don’t think they wanted to get stuck here and.....

He pauses for a minutes as his image flickers and changes from a number of colors.

Harper: what’s wrong? Was the ships computer or holo system damaged?

It takes a moment but he returns to normal

GAR: no all systems are normal. But sir we have a bigger problem. I was monitoring all UNSC operations as I’m programmed to do as well as monitor this ship and your fleet specifically. I’ve lost contact with 7 UNSC planets sir. 4 major agricultural 2 military and 1 industrial.

Harper: what do you mean lost contact?

GAR: I mean they are gone. I’m not getting any comm traffic I can’t detected them and have lost contact with any ships and stations that where in orbit.

Harper: recall all fighters and prepare to jump to slipspace. Get me the republic commander and send Janeway a message.

Serah: Oh um. No reason! No reason at all. *slightly nervous laugh* You should let me break it to her, it's been so long you know, I think it would be better if she hears it from me before hearing it from you.

Eve: Sorry for going into it so much. *she runs the back of her head as she looks down the hall, checking a map on her wrist computer.* We should be getting close. *They find the entrance to the Temporal core, but before they get too close the door opens and out walks a large Na'kuhl woman. She's slightly taller than a normal Na'kuhl, but something is off about her. Her facial expression is blank and lifeless. This close to the core tricorders are useless from the chroniton radiation, but an educated guess might suggest that she could be one of the cyborgs they saw before, meaning that they can make them for all races*

*Susan reluctantly let's go, panting hard, her muscles getting sore from all the exertion*

*Torin's b*******-o-meter goes off the charts, and he gives Serah a very suspicious look.*

Torin: Ser', what aren't you telling me?

*Gym. Sara quickly puts some distance between them, also panting as she turns to face Susan, tucking some hair out of her face. She's in a loose stance, just as sore and exhausted as Susan.*

Sara *panting*: Well, we knew this wasn't gonna be easy...

*Planet. Jane gets ready to run, knowing they can't really fight the Cyborg in such close quarters.*

    Jane: Another Cyborg?

Ooc: also I will let you all decide if you want anyone else to be affected at all by the undine final attack didn’t want to do it to anyone else if you didn’t want it to happen so will leave it up to you guys.

Carter gets the news from a report on his padd as he reads it.

Carter: Toma I want you to alert all ONI agents and ships. Put them at full alert for now.

    Toma: right away director.

As she walks out carter leans back in though. They where lucky he thought to himself. None of the planets hit had major ONI bases or projects going on. But he knew it was going to be a heavy blow to the area as a whole.

    *Hargrove comes on screen.*

Hargrove: Admiral, we just detected a series of gravitational shifts in the area. We're triangulating now, but it looked like they came from your space.
