He expects us to move through the lightly defended systems, so strike a heavily defended one. Preston's forces won't expect it, and the 2nd and 3rd Fleets will still be able to get through and split up.
Ramez: Good idea, Captain. As for the System's defences, we don't have much intel, and I wouldn't expect it until we reach the target. We don't have time for a scouting mission.
We can send a scout 6 hours ahead of us, to get the sensor data, but it'll mean moving the 2nd and 3rd Fleets Distraction forward as well. If we have them attack Aldebaran, I'd rather they have more time.

It wasn't my call. I tried to tell Command to either give her time to run the procedure, or transfer you to a Medical Station, but they didn't want to risk the Synthesisers using the time to build up.

Matt: It consists of Type X Weapon Platforms. They're shielded and armed with Plasma Torpedoes and Omega Disruptor Beams. We should be able to handle them, but just in case, we're going to go through the area where the perimeter is weakest.

Matt: Captain, if we go through the Defence Network, we'll have to tackle the fleet on our way out, anyway. the difference is we'll have fewer ships to do it.

Done things that we are not proud of... Killed each other for very little reason than a difference in ideology...
Truth is if this war has shown us is that the powers that caused this conflict be rooted out so we can grasp that hope that was new to us a century ago... Preston is not wrong when he said we need to embrace change and think of the people before our own self interest... It was irresponsible of us to do that... Irresponsible to accept an out dated status quo...
But do not fret for those about to die... Pity those who don't care for the lives of others, who do not feel loss or love... When that heart of ours closes it is when we truly become monsters... When the tears dry that is when a good man becomes evil...

It wasn't my call. I tried to tell Command to either give her time to run the procedure, or transfer you to a Medical Station, but they didn't want to risk the Synthesisers using the time to build up.
If I hadn't given Sam the orders, it wouldn't have changed anything. Command would have just issued the order themselves.
I know it's little consolation, but thanks to her sacrifice, and yours, we've got confirmed, up to date information on Synthesiser numbers and strategic data.

Jacob: well admiral Ramez things don't seem to be going so well right now do they. Please make it quick I have a battle fleet to organize for when some people get there heads out of the sand and really look around.
Ramez: then you'd better do it quick, cause I just ran out of patience with Command.
I'm sending the Long range Scout out in 12 hours. We'll launch 6 hours after that, and TRIBBLE Naval Command if they try and stop us.

Traelus System. The 3rd Fleet, led by the Matthew Neilson, is preparing for their assault on Aldebaran.
R.S.S. Matthew Neilson, Situation Room. Matt is speaking with Captain Ronston, leading the 2nd Fleet at Regulus.*
Matt: The Station's defences are focused towards large, slow-moving vessels, but the shields are too strong for fighters, so our Escorts will have to make the first run on the Station.
Ronston: Agreed. Sir, it looks a lot like we're attempting to capture the system.
Matt: We are. We've got a little over 4000 ships counting on us to be ready if they have to fall back. We need to take the Station and have it ready for them.
Ronston: Agreed. What about the Outer Perimeter?
Matt: It consists of Type X Weapon Platforms. They're shielded and armed with Plasma Torpedoes and Omega Disruptor Beams. We should be able to handle them, but just in case, we're going to go through the area where the perimeter is weakest.
Ronston: Won't that be a problem? It puts us directly in the path of their main fleet.
Matt: Captain, if we go through the Defence Network, we'll have to tackle the fleet on our way out, anyway. the difference is we'll have fewer ships to do it.
Ronston: I see your point. When do we leave?
Matt: Phase 1 begins in 5 minutes. We leave at Phase 2, which begins in 3 hours.
Ronston: Understood. What's the time difference?
Matt: You leave 5 minutes before us so we'll arrive at the same time.

James: *Calmed down now...* Still he should have known better and listened to his gut instead of several impatient fools. You know it too... Besides all that rage was one punch so I am fine now.... Lets get this over with..
If not this offensive will be over very fast.
Sam: James, I've spent my entire career 'listening to my gut', and do you know where it got me? Before Ramez, Command kept me commanding a Police Frigate garrisoned to the Military Nerve centre of the entire Republic Navy. Because Ramez watched his back and played it in a way that let Command permit him through the ranks, he was able to help me actually make a difference.
Admiral Ramez has been trying to change Military Command for years, even longer than I have! If he hadn't given me that order, Command wouldn't have wasted any time throwing him out of the Admiralty and issuing the order themselves. NOTHING would have changed except that we'd have lost the best ally we could have in changing Military Command back to the way it was a century ago - the way my Great-Grandparents intended it to be; a group of people with hearts, not guns.
James, we began the procedure before I got those orders from Ramez. She was dead before I even had to leave, so if you want to blame someone, blame me!

OOC: A little much ? I was hoping that it would be a under dog vs superior numbers... but alas I could pull the breen and Tholians showing their true colors at the cost of Species 9042 not paying any part.
Jacob stands aboard the bridge of his vessel as he watch's the clock tick. A few insurgent ships have now joined there force. Jacob walks into his ready room to speak to the rebel leader.
Jacob: please make yourself confortable.
Mark : thank you admiral. It's been awhile since we have been able to relax like this. Fighting and being on the run keeps us tired and worn down.
Jacob: any idea how many will be able to help us.

As you all know I do not have much longer to live... Even though death is knocking at my door soon, I would rather see that we all see this war end... We all have lost so much in this journey... Done things that we are not proud of... Killed each other for very little reason than a difference in ideology...
Truth is if this war has shown us is that the powers that caused this conflict be rooted out so we can grasp that hope that was new to us a century ago... Preston is not wrong when he said we need to embrace change and think of the people before our own self interest... It was irresponsible of us to do that... Irresponsible to accept an out dated status quo...
But do not fret for those about to die... Pity those who don't care for the lives of others, who do not feel loss or love... When that heart of ours closes it is when we truly become monsters... When the tears dry that is when a good man becomes evil...
All of us here know the odds... but we are all here because we chose to be here... We had that choice to decide what we do with the time that is given to us.. We will fight and die so that others may not have to face the choices and the actions we did...

None of us know who will fall and will survive. But i say this when you are out there and you know you are going to die do not fear it. Embrace it. Our enemy will be able to feel your strongest emotion and that comes at death. Show them you are not afraid to give the most you can give.Becuase that will put fear in there hearts. Meanwhile on the harvest jacob is prepping his suit for the coming battle.
Tal walks out of the room and heads back for his ship waiting for the battle. He enjoys the feeling of anxiety among his crew. He looks out at the fleet. He is quite confident that they will stop the rebels in their tracks and no matter about their allies. They will stop there enemies in there tracks and crush them.
Tal: Everyone we will stand up against these rebels and crush them for the glory of the empire.
