They need to drop the 'log in for an hour' way of giving the reward. If you give a reward it should be for completing a series of specific tests. People just stand in ESD to run out the timer.

I'm pretty sure that what CapnBludd is referring to is the Holodeck (live shard) reward that we'll get (on our real toons) for testing the DOff system on the Tribble/Redshirt/whatever test shard, like the Crossfire Tribble, Fluidic Space Tribble, Borg Tribble, or other Tribble Test Weekend rewards; NOT the rewards for completing DOff assignments.
Duty officer assignments will continue to progress even if you are logged out.
Incentive rewards for the duty officer system on Tribble will be based on how many and which Commendation tiers you attain. Commendation tiers are attained by accumulated commendation xp in each of the eleven or so different categories; commendation xp is gained by successfully completing duty officer assignments.
Will the rewards be tied to the character used for testing, or will they be account wide rewards as the tribbles have been? If I test marauding on a KDF character does that mean my Feds will be rewardless from that effort?
Since this is sounding like these rewards will be "requried" to get the most out of the DO system once it goes live, advance details will be required (and appreciated ).

And remember... the Doff System was originally slated for release WITH Season 4, back in July.

I just cancelled my subscription. Gametime expires September 28th. If DOff is ready for testing before that date, I -might- resubscribe. If not, i'm gone for good. Any return after September 28th, would be as a "Silver" (Free) player. Cause right now, i'm not gonna pay another dime to Cryptic. "Been there done that"

Any scheduled release date would just get postponed for the F2P era while those still paying in the here and now get shafted.
And once it goes Live, it will still be buggy as hell and break other things in the process.

Tribble patches are usually quite late in the day (for me) so it could still happen today.
Will probably most likely happen tomorrow when I am at work though -.-
This is nothing against you Aisling, I've never had an issue with you.
All I'm saying, is that a good many people around here are sick and tired of hearing "soon" from the devs in this game.
Because "soon" or even "very soon" doesn't mean anything here.
And when I'm packing to be gone for 5 or so days, and going to have tabletop that night.
I got the weekend off, then next wed will that help me any? :P Or will this test be later then the weekend?
