  • For skills that only work on yourself you just have to cast the skill and it will automatically target yourself. For other skills that can target other people such as ironheart, just make sure you have no one else targeted and you will automatically cast it on yourself. Also if you have a monster targeted and cast…
  • I think spiders are usually pretty good for grinding. I also find mobs in OHT have decent dq drop rates.
  • It really depends on what you are looking for in the game for the game to "start". In the early levels it's mainly questing up to about 30 or so when the quest start slowing down. You'll get to about 30 in a few days as a new person. At 30 everyone is able to fly so you'll start getting quests in the air and more places to…
  • BLOODMYSTIC - Archosaur;12059512] Step 1: delete wiz Step 2: roll sin Step 3: hyper level to 100 Step 4: farm your *** off for $ for your wiz Step 5: decide if you care that you will be useless endgame for almost anything but TW, and with Rank 9, almost useless there unless you buy rank 9 yourself. Step 6: if you make it…
  • I also like to put the command (found by pressing e like arocus said) on a quick slot. That way you can just click a button on your keyboard instead of having to go into the menu everytime you want to start or stop flying.
  • While I agree with Adroit that arcane is the only way to go with a wiz I'll let you know what the other builds are so you can make your own mind. With a wiz there are basically 2 types of builds: Light Armor or Arcane Armor. For a light armor build you put enough points in str and dex to wear light armor and the rest go in…
  • I don't recall anyone in this thread saying that you don't know how to play a wiz. I doubt any of us have actually played with you. We do know that you can not learn how to play a wiz or probably any other character for that matter by just reading guides. Hypering or Oracling to 100 will just create another high level…
  • Again thank you for the replies. To be honest I'm mostly interested in soloing TT just for the fun of it (a little sadistic I guess). If I can make some money all the better, but it's not my primary goal. With the wiz I wasn't able to solo 29 till probably lvl 70 and will probably never be able to solo TT so the veno is…
  • Ok thanks for the tips guys. I'll stop my vit or maybe restat a few points out of it. I normally play a pure magic wiz and even with immac citrines in most of my gear I still get one shot by the occasional aoe in later TT and FF which probably prompted me to put more vit in the veno.
  • I don't mean to say that you don't know how to play a wiz, but reading guides and in game experience are two different things. I just hate squading with a wiz in FF and have them say "how did you do that lightning circle thing" or "why is my hand glowing". It's the same thing with these oracled venos that ask what amp and…
  • Please check dates before you necro a very old thread.
  • Lately I think leather has been way overpriced, at least on HT. I believe leather is from mobs around 40 - 50 and the current price is hovering around 20-25k per leather.
  • Do we really need another oracle/hyper noob who doesn't actually know how to play his class? I'm all for a little quick leveling but make sure you also take the time to learn to play a new class. I'm not saying don't oracle your way up, but just make sure to take a little time to learn the skills, learn when to hold back…
  • Every wiz will tell you different skills to max. I'll tell you what I have maxed and why and also my thoughts on other skills. The first skills I would recommend maxing are your basic attacks. This would be gush and pyrogram. Both are fast casting and will be used forever. Gush is expecially nice because of the slow effect…

  • http://www.ecatomb.net/genieskill.php Tree of protection is second row from the bottom and third column from the right. Your genie has to be lvl 31 and have 3 wood and 4 water before getting the skill. Also make sure you still have room for another skill on your genie. Genies start with 4 skill slots but you can get more…
  • Like they said you will eventually want to get all of them maxed but start with glacial and stone barrier. Stone barrier is useful early on when you have very low hp and very low phys defense. I personally maxed glacial first as I liked the extra mp regeneration. It meant I could kill faster and usually without ever having…
  • I've recently come back from a few month break too and these are the changes I've noticed. Gold prices are even higher now usually floating around 800k - 900k. However the price of most expensive things in the item mall have gone down. For example, when I left the 2.5 or 3.0 flying mounts were still 60 gold. They are now…
  • To anyone thinking of trying a wizard, just do it. If you don't like it after a while, roll another character. I personally think wizard is a tough class to play before 60, but I also think it's one of the most fun classes to play. I also kinda like being rare and not one of the thousands of venos and sins.
  • AOE parties actually used to be very popular back in 2008 and early 2009. Before BH's, FF's, oracles, and all those other quick leveling quests the only way to level through the 80's and 90's was to do zhen parties. I still like to zhen with friends and guildmates mostly for drops and nostalgic reasons but it's rare to see…
  • You're level 35, just do your quests and crazy stone. If you want to hyper grind that will also work but do not hyper bh's.
  • I knew someone was going to come along and say that. I've had this wizard since open beta and will always play it. I've tried most of the other classes and to be honest the wiz is the most fun to play. Since I play for fun and not the uber pwnage or whatever the kids are saying these days, I'll stick with the wiz.
  • Thanks for the quick replies. I know what you mean about coin. Luckily before I left I spent a good bit on some good gear that should hold me till about TT90 or 95 stuff so right now I'm just saving coin. I'll look into some FF runs. Several people in my guild go a lot but they are in upper 90's and 100's so I can't really…
  • I've liked my lvl 77 gold armor. It looks like something a court jester would wear so fits my name. I've also 4 immac citrines in it giving it a lightning effect. Don't have any screenshots on this comp though.
  • There are also 2 horses you can buy in game at the pet manager but it's probably cheaper to just buy a cash shop mount from somebody in game. There is also an anniversary mount in the game that perfect world gave out to players who have been playing for a long time.
  • I got distance shrink because everyone told me I needed it too and I never use it. I think it's personal preference but I would much rather use will of phoenix or force of will any day over distance shrink. It might be useful for maybe pulling bosses like in fb 69 but that's what holy path is for.
  • I'd say max your shields, get wellspring to lvl 5 for sutra, also probably want a few lvls in dragon's breath if you ever plan on zhenning or doing rebirth. Other than that I've maxed my heal recently which while slow heals over 2k hp and it wasn't very expensive. Start working on your ultimates too but they are expensive.…
  • Does seem a bit overkill for quiting and a lot of those pieces are rather expensive compared to similar pieces that are much cheaper. For example the TT armor cost millions in mats when you can just use the legendary at that level which has similar if not better stats. I also think its weird that you want to spend the…
  • Aquadash does have much better refines after + 4 and slightly better damage than wraith conq or WoDF but again is much more expensive. As a more casual player I don't put enough money or time into the game for an aquadash and then to try to refine it to more than +5 or 6 would cost even more. For the hard core player I…
  • Why not use wraith conq? It has the same damage as the other two, the same bonus to magic, and it adds vitality which we wizzies desperately need. It's also much much cheaper than aquadash.
