has anyone ever thought that in the future instead of everyone looking for aps and single target classes with aps people will look for good aoe classes?

yeh i know basically everyone has aoes. but if you think about it. its good to have a mix of both physical aoes and magical aoes. and get classes with multiple like wizards and not like bms which have 1 big aoe and other smaller ones.

now i know nirvana is basically only bosses so you only need single target aps. i dont really have a reason to have aoe classes.

    If you mean 1 big AoE for BMs as HF, HF itself hardly does dmg, it's only an amp.

    If you say AoE, you say axe BM. axe BMs skills are nothing but aoe (exept drake bash)

    AOE parties actually used to be very popular back in 2008 and early 2009. Before BH's, FF's, oracles, and all those other quick leveling quests the only way to level through the 80's and 90's was to do zhen parties.

    I still like to zhen with friends and guildmates mostly for drops and nostalgic reasons but it's rare to see it on world chat anymore. We can only speculate what will be the next popular thing after this aps craze, but I wouldn't mind more aoe parties again.

    Problem is that there currently isn't really much need for AOE, at least not for instances that you farm. Delta you need AOE, trophy mode FBs need it but they are almost never done.

    Most farming is done in nirvana and TT. TT doesn't have very many mobs and they usually have very low hp and aren't in very large groups and can be killed by pretty much any AOE, and every class has one, 99% of the work is the bosses. And nirvana doesn't even have mobs, so AOE is all but useless there.
